They said they were too secure to my nails and they don't install that way. So the technician proceeded to speak to another technician where I could tell she was annoyed by having to remove my nails. She constantly did unnecessary filing and ripping off my nails instead of letting them soak in the alcohol for easy removal.

So I walked into this salon after not having had my nails done for some time, for a wedding. (I use…read moreto get dip done every three weeks, and before that I had acrylic and gel polish typically... so not new to getting my nails done.) I was put with a new graduate, a local PV graduate. To say my experience was bad, doesn't really cover it. After getting my nails redone a couple weeks later somewhere else, that is when I decided to leave this review, realizing just how awful it was. One star is for the interior. It's a very clean and updated decor. The other is for the owner, that sort of tried to make it right... I got tips and dip. I started out thinking I wanted a French manicure. But the ridge of the tips showed in the pink. So I did chrome hoping it would help. But when I went to check out, looking at the awful shaping and appearance in general, I told them I really wasn't happy. Many of my nails were wider at the top than at the base... they were not smooth on the sides, and they just just looked pretty awful. So they put me with one of their other people to reshape. Which meant removing the polish and chrome... they were shaped wide at the tips, and the corners (I was asking for squares shaping) were longer than the centers. When I pointed it out, they literally looked at them and didn't understand. The lady next to me was saying. Yep-I see it. And my thumbs were noticeably crooked at the ends. Full on slant. Oh and the base of the nails were thinner and they got thicker at the tips-not natural at all. Since I had already been there over two hours for a pedicure and trying to get my manicure presentable, I asked they just polish my hands the same as my toes, so I could go. Honestly I still was not thrilled.they were slightly better, but not the look I had planned on at all... But I get to the register, and they charged me for the chrome that had to be taken off, and I don't even know what else. It was $137 before the tip for a pedicure with polish (not gel), and dip with tips, VERY poorly done. By comparison, i went to another salon two weeks later before a vacation, with AMAZING service, beautifully shaped nails, and gel on both hands and toes, and additional design work (ombré glitter AND rhinestones), and it was $20 cheaper before tip!! The interior just as tasteful, service 1000% better overall. Got a mani pedi there. I am missing a toe nail so I was told I needed to get a gel pedicure to get…read morethat toe painted so I did. However, Paula, the woman who did my nails, did not tell me she was charging me an extra $5 for one nail on top of the cost of the gel pedicure. As soon as I got in the shower the nail fell off so it wasn't done right. I went back to have the nail fixed and the owner Dan put the same nail back on and I was told by a different employee that none of the other employees would have charged the extra $5. Almost as soon as I went back home the toe nail fell off for a second time. A few days later (only 5 days after I got my nails done) one of the fingernails fell off. I went in to have them fix them and get a refund. When I got in I asked to speak to the owner. Paula claimed to be the owner after telling me she wasn't and kept trying to argue with me even after the owner agreed to refund me and fix my nails. While I was waiting for him to finish with his customer (25 minute wait), Paula kept trying to argue with and harass me even after I said many times I will handle it with the owner. She told me they wouldn't refund even though he said he would and said the only way they would refund me is if they removed the nails. After I told her the conversation was not going anywhere and I will just speak to the owner she continued to harass me and cause a scene. She bad mouthed me not only in front of me but to other employees and customers. She then demanded I respond to her and continued to harass me and even raised her voice with me and I told her multiple times I will not be spoken to that way and I'm respectfully ending the conversation. She continued to yell at me and made various rude and disrespectful remarks including yelling GET OUT many times. The owner, Dan, did refund me and I thanked him and asked about fixing my nails and he fixed my fingernail while his employee Paula was yelling at him harassing him not to. He did not fix or offer to fix my toe nail, even though he agreed to fix my nails and refund me when I first walked in. It didn't seem like he was even going to fix my fingernail if I hadn't asked him again at the end. After all the harassment and disrespect from Paula and how long I had waited I decided to forget the toe nail because I knew it wouldn't stay on anyway since they don't do it right. Needless to say, I was absolutely appalled at not only the long quality I received for such high prices but more importantly the disrespect and complete lack of customer service.
