We walked right up and were greeted with a big smile from a sweet young lady named Karla. She turned out to be our server too! She guided us thru the menu and we chose the filet steak and a Cesar Chicken sandwich. Starting with a couple of vodkas the food came out quickly and we just couldn't believe how good it was. Tammy the Tornados Filet steak was seasoned just right and cooked to a perfect medium rare. My chicken sandwich was literally the best chicken sandwich I've ever had. Karla was the kind of server you only dream about having. Hats off to whoever owns Portobello. You run a top notch restaurant and hire the best people! Now, to stray off course for a minute. It's a really nice place with a basement restaurant and a party hall upstairs in what must have been once a mansion or manor house. We both had the roast duck and it was delicious with generous portions and a beautiful presentation. The furnishings are quite nice and we received very good service. It has a restaurant attached to it which has a decent selection of food items. They also have a bar which serves all kinds of alcohols. The WiFi is pretty good. They accept credit cards. Overall a decent place.
