He offered names and numbers of resources for seed, areator and dethacher machine rental and was quick to inform me that he receives no kick backs for sending customers to them. The seed resource even offers high quality custom mixes if you want that level as well! Micheal even advised me on what I needed to request to get exactly what I wanted. All of this time and sharing before I had even bought any product from him! As I write this, I have all resources scheduled and work begins next week. I will be ordering the gopher mix from Micheal as soon as we finish areatiing. Thank you so much Micheal. Exemplary customer service prior to purchase!

I had a very disappointing experience with the customer service here. The woman working was…read moreextremely rude and unprofessional. I arrived before closing time and was in the middle of placing my order when she abruptly refused to continue because it was exactly 4:30 PM. Despite already starting the order, she insisted they couldn't proceed because they had been working since 6 AM and needed to leave. I understand wanting to close on time, but refusing to complete an order that had already begun--just minutes before closing--is unacceptable. While I was discussing delivery details with another staff member, she turned away and started muttering under her breath. I've never encountered such discourteous behavior in a customer-facing role. It's hard to understand how a business can thrive with this kind of attitude toward customers.

I set it up for last Friday before Noon as I had a crew waiting to spread. About 11:30 still no show so I called only to hear that my order was put in the Saturday delivery folder, not Friday's! They eventually came but lost my crew for the day. This was the more disappointing part. I typically order 7 yards from Anderson which was always more than enough but this year I went with 8 yards just to have extra for the fall. I was surprised when we fell short and questioned if we actually received the full 8 yards. Spoke to Nancy and explained what we experienced, but was assured after talking to her people that we got what we paid for. I was more disappointed that as a long time customer who never had a prior complaint that no consideration was offered to make me whole, not even for a single $42/yard of mulch! I don't think that would have been a lot to ask or even consider that a mistake may have been made. Perhaps they will restore my faith and call me back

This one in Carpentersville is nice to shop at, because it's a little hidden and harder to get to than the other ones, so (at least in my mind) it's never crowded in here. For this trip, I came in to get a light switch and I was pleased with the selection. I used the app ahead of time to find out the exact location of the product in the store. The only part I wish there was more of is that I like how at the other retail chain, there's always someone walking around to answer your questions if you have any. It's not that that's not available here, it's just that there seems to be less people on the floor. When I do find someone, however, they have always been polite and helpful.

Take the opportunity to grab 'em while you can. When Aspen gets busy, they get VERY busy, and Eric -- I conjecture -- don't quote me -- would need to turn away clients or ask them to go on a waiting list for the following year. Mr. Eric, Ms. Lindsey, and the rest of their brilliant crew have been working on a multi-year project for me putting in hardscape, including grading and, ultimately, changing (soft-scaping) our two acres from lawn to native plants+wildlife flower garden. Eric and crew are experts on native plants. The more I read about "lawns," the more I cringe every time I pass one on the road. Lawns, being non-native plants, they are animal-torturers -- ironically, lawns passively mow down animals. Think of lawns as efficient animal-disposal machines. Do the planet (and your neighborhood) a favor and make your land friendly to critters by insisting on native plants. Native plants and animals evolved together over millions of years, so when one's land doesn't have native plants, wildlife starves, all the way up and down the food-chain. Lawns are gasoline- and water-guzzlers. The lawn industry uses up a humongous amount of petroleum products merely in lawn-mowing. I am a "Gone the Lawn" person now. Lawns are appropriate ONLY under certain circumstances, like one is a croquet fanatic. I never knew that gardening was year-round. April is the month everyone waits for, but planning starts the previous autumn. Eric's physically-demanding season winds down in mid-November, so let him see your plot before the snows hide the land. Autumn is the best time to start brainstorming the design phase for the following April. Eric and crew are not only landscapers but artists.
