This place was recommended to me through a friend who had dined there. As Americans a little far away from Madrid we were so nervous speaking in our broken Spanish. The waiter made us feel welcome and safe, we were able to communicate with no issue. This restaurant is located in an ancient dirty with preserved architecture, with a wine theme for decorations. The waiter paired our wine with our meals- we had a beautiful red blend with our lamb and venison. This is the best venison and lamb we have ever eaten. The food was prepared quickly and it was fresh and delicious. They did have an option for dessert and we saw other people eating their selections and it did look like it tasted great, also had coffee and espresso. Overall we had an amazing lunch in Toledo, the wait staff was attentive to our needs.

Recommended by locals. Excellent food, fresh, tasty, nice portions. Waiter was friendly and offered some items outside the menu. His recommendations were excellent! We had partridge salad, grilled squid, shrimp and mushrooms, pork stew and "mollejas de Cordero a la plancha". Everything was great. Give them a visit, you won't regret!

Great place for tapas in Toledo, right by the giant escalator. The bar is cute, and the seafood is excellent. We asked for recommendations from our waiter and ended up with the chiperones (cuttlefish) and the sepia (even smaller cuttlefish), both of which were beautifully grilled and delicious - I could have eaten another plate of both! We also tried the fried pig ears, which I recommend. Crispy, fried and chewy goodness, although came with ketchup on top, which I could have probably done without. Overall, would recommend!

Don't be too alarmed if this place seems far from where most of the hotels are. Toledo is essentially a small city on top of a hill so everywhere you go is within walking distance. It's also nice to walk through the cobblestone streets and alleyways. This tourist town has plenty of restaurants and it's truly wonderful to find this restaurant that offers a wide variety of tasty tapas and is also popular with the locals. We weren't very hungry so got a few plates of tapas including Foie de pato con mermelad, Jamon Iberico and revuetos varios. The ham was truly delicious. It had a woodsy mild aromatic acorn flavor that just melted in the mouth. Everyone who works at the restaurant was fantastic including Adrian, the owner and barkeep.

Great service however tapas were cold / microwaved long enough. The food was also quite bland

Excellent food, super friendly people. Callos amd chipirones were delicious. Probably my favorite place I've been in Spain.

Everything we ordered was delicious, and the waiter saw to it that we didn't *over* order, as we tend to do with tapas.

We sat at the bar, and all we could smell was the semi-clean bathroom--and I say that not from visiting it, but from the sheer odor. Things went south when a burly German Messerschmitt sat next to us and compounded the smell. I'm not being Teutonophobic--I'm just telling it like it was ( said every xenophobic ) The tortilla that lured us here was fine, but too sweet for my taste--like the rest of the pintxos. Or maybe it was the side of Clorox.

The onions were jammy and so flavorful; they made this dish amazing. Definitely different from all the other tortillas I had. Grilled beef sweetbread bruschetta, with melted havarti cheese and chimichurri was rich but not filling, so I ordered the Red tuna tartar with wasabi pearls. My friend had the oxtail fajita- which she loved. All of the food we had here was great. I only wish we had been told that we could only get the dolce de leche volcano if we ordered it at the same time as our food. I was really looking forward to it. Instead we had the carrot and ginger pie (cake) with yogurt and the lemon pie. Of note, this place is small, so be prepared to wait. You can sit and eat at the bar.

Juana la Loca - This place was packed. Lack of A/C had me dying. Angel was an amazing server, however. Thanks man!
