Absolutely the best fish taco I've ever had. The carnitas was on point too. The shrimp taco was too mushy. Everything else was bomb.

Worst experience I place a order at 400 pm for Pick up I go there at 445 to pick it up they tell me 20 mins more I go back again in 20 mins they tell me not ready get they telll me another 30 mins so I asked them if they can deliver they say ok 30 mins go by still nothing I try calling the phone was off I drive there now mind you it's almost 7 now they tell me sorry your order will be ready in 15 mins I lose my cool and tell them to cancel horrible restaurant don't waste your time here horrible read more

It is now 12 minutes after seven I placed an order today at 4:30. I know it's Cinco de Mayo and the restaurant is very busy, however when I was told it would take a "long time," I asked how long and I was told about an hour. I tried several times 34 to be exact to try to contact them to tell them to cancel my order. When I attempted I'm told that the mailbox is full please try my call again.If they don't have the staff to fulfill the customers order then they should say that from the very beginning. Taco Azul has amazing food and the Guacamole is fantastic. However if you order make sure to pick up or u we it because when u go through the restaurant it's a minimum of 2 hour wait. They told me an hour and it was 21/2 then another time they said 45 min and took 11/2 hours. Terrible service read more

Excellent fresh food. We had chicken and shrimp tacos, fish and carnitas burritos, corn, chips and guacamole. Everything was delicious. One of the managers even brought over a bunch of sauces for us to try. The food did take a little long to come out- but they just opened- so it's totally understandable. Normally, my family and I absolutely love Taco Azul. Recently, we ordered delivery and they told me it would be a 1 hour and 10 minutes wait. We still placed the order and after about an hour, I called to confirm that the order was on its way. They told me explicitly yes and that the delivery driver had it. After a total of two hours, the food was not here and I called Taco Azul only to hear that the food was never made and they just assumed the delivery driver delivered it, even though the kitchen never made the order. This was told to me a full hour after I had asked them to confirm that it was on the way. They did give me a refund, but after a 2 hour wait with false pretenses that we would get our food, my family was extremely disappointed, especially because they told us that the food was on its way. I highly recommend you do not order delivery from them. read more

Best local taqueria in Queens I have had to date. Their baja fish taco in flour tortilla was perfect. They offer several options for tortillas; yellow corn, blue corn, tostada and flour tortilla. The quesadillas were scarfed down by my kids, the guacamole was great because it was not only flavorful but all my kids could eat it as it had no spice, also had the wings which were excellent, and elote, so yummy. The restaurant itself is teeny tiny but so well planned, there is a smaller bathroom, the space has a bar for single sweaters and plenty of tables with chairs for groups considering the space. It was very cozy, service was excellent. We will be back for sure. read more

It's new so I gave it 3*. They have some tweaking, NO not twerking, to do. The food was fresh and very good. We ordered Carnitas, baja fish and chciken tacos. It was all very good. However, we did take out and the corn tortilla was very soggy. They have to work on that. We also ordered the wings which were very good. If you dont like spicy, you will not like them. I did wait a very long time but was worth the wait. I will be back to try other things on the menu. I'm so happy I have a Mexican joint in the neighborhood. I'll be back to update the review. Definitely try it but expect a long wait whether take out or eating in. Oh, I did see someone with a burrito, it was a nice size and looked delicious. I was in the neighborhood, checked out the reviews and decided to check out Taco Azul. Very small place, 7 tables. Menu was interesting, following one of the reviewers recommendations tried the Elote appetizer. Corn on the cob, grilled and seasoned with Cotija cheese. It was warm, well seasoned and a great bite. The shrimp taco on the other hand was bland and not a great choice. I also ordered a side of Black beans and lime the shrimp, bland with very little cheese, I would pass. The highlight was the Carnitas taco. This slow roasted pork was tender and tasty served with avocado it was rich and satisfying. They do a big takeout so expect to wait for your food. Service was lacking for such a small restaurant. If you are passing by, try a Carnitas taco to go. read more

I ordered the shrimp burrito and my boyfriend got the al pastor quesadilla. The shrimp burrito was flavorful and packed with delicious shrimp and rice. The al pastor quesadilla was the perfect blend of savory and the pineapple gave it just enough sweetness! So this is my third time ordering from Taco Azul. First time I ate there last two were take out. Besides the long wait I thought everything was great with the first two experiences I had. Tonight not so much. I waited over two hours for a very local delivery. I understand it's a new business, but two hours for a few blocks away is insane! But I wanted the food so bad I didn't cancel. Very tasty quesadillas. Went with slow cooked pork.......DELICIOUS! Ordered take out at the restaurant and it was ready in a timely manner. Great selection of salsas and gave me a variety so I could try them all. I asked for a side of guacamole and said no problem if there was an extra charge. The portion cup was very small, that was my only complaint. Next time I'll order the guacamole and chips to get a nicer sized portion. I guess I should have ordered that with "hold the chips." It should never ever take that long. My kids were crying from waiting and then fell asleep before the food arrived. This happened multiple times. We always gave them another chance but I'm done. Great little place for a quick casual meal. I had the tacos and passion fruit ceviche. Both were delicious. We were there on a Monday night so we did not experience any wait. I always have trouble finding good Mexican food in Queens which is odd seeing as how it has just about everything else. Taco Azul is great! The only issues were that service was slow. The waitress wasn't really attentive and didn't clear old dishes when brining out more food. The order was also a little messed up as I asked for yellow corn but received blue corn tortillas. Delivery was fast and easy, but the food was not good. We ordered Tacos al pastor, chili chicken wings and horchata. The al pastor was dry, and had no taste. It was like eating dry meat without flavor. We had to add a lot of salsa to help with the dryness. The chili chicken wing was ok. It had decent flavor but the blue cheese was way over powering. And lastly the horchata, it was the worst horchata ever. I don't know how they made it, but it was thick and tasted like rice pudding in liquid form. No flavor at all. read more
