These tacos are SO good that I've been wanting them since I first tried them. I came by on a whim after going to the hair salon next door and decided to try a bunch of random tacos. For starters, it's a clean space with both indoor and outdoor seating. I went on a tuesday before 12 so it was empty and my food came out fast. I got the barbacoa, carne asada, shrimp, and crispy fish taco on a flour tortilla. Other than the barbacoa which I just wasn't a fan of- I loved every taco. They all were flavorful and just melting in my mouth. I got them dirty style- which meant they came with onions and cheese and were on a flour tortilla. I was super full and satisfied after this meal and would recommend this spot!

Decided to try Tacos Bamba in the Ridgewood shopping center on Wade Ave. Nice place, order at the counter in the back. The cashier was friendly and my tacos were brought outside. The outdoor tables were nice, and bug-free which was nice. Here's the breakdown of my lunch: Pollo al Carbon Decent corn tortillas, doubled Decent onion and cilantro Salty, a bit messy, seems to have a chorizo component to it which may account for the saltiness Good taco $4.50 Al Pastor Decent char, a few pieces of gristle Most of The pineapple pieces were inedible because they were from the center of the fruit. Salty as well, but overall nice spice level Average taco $4.50 Carne Asada A bit of char Salty Very very good pieces of steak, but no real flavor after the hit of salt. If there's a marinade it's super dilute or not evenly applied. Fix the marinade issue and this could be one of the best carne asada tacos in the area. Slightly above average taco overall $5.00 La Bamba, like many "upscale" taco-centric places charges for chips and salsa (like $3.25). What is that all about? Seriously, just stop. Folks are already kind of overpaying for these tacos and they're getting ripped off for chips and salsa too?

Tasty tacos and super fresh guac! We didn't have drinks but the bar looked well stocked and inviting for a drink after work or to watch the game.

This restaurant is spacious with a lot of seating. After placing your order at one counter you pick it up at another one. I asked if I could substitute flour tortillas for one of my tacos two tacos. The clerk told me that she could but didn't tell me that there would be an additional charge of 0.50 cents to do so. I don't mind paying extra but I would appreciate being told that there are extra fees to do so. The tacos were filling & had a lot of meat. They tasted good but the Barbacoa was a little salty & the lamb birria didn't come with consommé. There is an extra charge for it. All of the birria tacos I've had in the past included consommé without an extra charge. I asked the clerk if the corn tortillas were cooked and cashier said yes. My tortilla wasn't cooked.

Came across this place through the offline Raleigh Durham service - The place is a little confusing at first but as you walk in you understand where to order and pickup ! It has a great vibe and good crowd! We got 4 tacos (2 regular and 2 speciality) Birria and chorizo from the traditionale menu and taserface and taco bamba from the neustro(speciality) while taco bamba was very good too, Taser face taco blew us away! It was the perfect melange of everything we never knew was needed in a taco! Sweet spice crunch and everything nice! Had to go get another one bcz one of it was not satiating enough! One of the most elite taco experiences we've had in a while Would definitely be back to try more items

Place is nice, but tacos start at $4 for a standard taco, and $5.50 for specialty tacos. No combos with rice or beans. But the rice and beans for about $4 is large enough to share. No chips included either. Orders include free coffee! I don't drink coffee. I had a "Sweet Baby Jesus" and a Wolfpack Poutine". Tacos are standard small tacos. Tasted good. Big covered porch outside. Pets welcome. Gave one star for that.

First time visiting here and the indoor and outdoor space is cute and spacious. Lot on options on the menu to unpack but I got two tacos :the Al paco (had chicken in it) and the taserface (had brisket in it) . I was bummed that the queenbee taco was out. Ordered at the counter and they bring the food out to you. They did have a sauce bar and also an indoor/outdoor bar to have a drink. The tacos were good. If I had added some hot sauces on them they wouldn't been top tier. I thought they were pretty filling and tasty. Reminds me a bit like Torchy's !

My daughter wanted to eat here because of their great outdoor seating area. Large menu and you place an order at the counter and they bring out the food to you. I ordered the Jeffrey which is a basically a huge beef egg roll and it was large enough for two meals. It was very spicy and delicious.

I appreciated the service during my visit. I loved the pack of the bowl salad with the AL PASTOR spiced pork & pineapple and the rubia for dessert; both were delicious. It was a good experience overall. The dining room was clean and organized. Although it was packed the service was great and the food was fresh. Adding: chairs could be better here

The food here is always excellent. Menu is creative and blends regional dishes into Mexican dishes with aplomb. Guacamole is fabulous, and I'm picky about guac. Arrive is always patient, timely. The music is a tad loud, however, it covers the noise from Wade Ave.

'ol dirty brisket quesadilla and torta tradicional with carne asada
    Mason R.

Taco Bamba was pretty good! This was my first time there and I got the 'ol dirty brisket quesadilla as well as a torta tradicional with carne asada. Both were tasty. It's a little bit pricey but on par expectations for anything in the Whole Foods shopping center. For my tastes, the brisket quesadilla was a bit too oily and needed the side of cream to cut the greasiness of the meat. Unfortunately I think the grease got to my stomach. I've got a stomach of steel so I probably will go for a different menu item next time. The torta (sandwich) was pretty good, and I have no specific feedback about it. Pretty standard, and the bread was great. Next time I'll switch up the meat for a bit more flavor. The staff behind the counter and in the kitchen were really friendly, and the food came out in about 15 minutes!

Plenty of options for all! Gluten free, meat free, spicy, not spicy, taco, not taco, a variety of margaritas, etc!!! You order off the board, grab your salsas at the self-serve bar & find a seat. They call your number (mine was within 2 minutes of ordering), you pick it up, take your seat, and enjoy! The food was hot, tasty & reasonably priced. I will be back

I love the old Ireland look of the inside of the place. For a cocktail bar I was extremely disappointed that they only had about 6 or 7 drinks on the menu. They said they could make anything but I absolutely hate that. If you're a specialty cocktail bar you should have cocktails to choose from. I am not a bartender and should not have to dream up my own drink. I was there for the experience and to drink something that they created. Service was incredibly slow. I was ready to order and the man just kept telling me that he would come back to take my order. Just take my order! If it's a beautiful day, I'd definitely recommend sitting outside instead. Still, the inside has a cozy, laid-back feel that works well. Shoutout to Qua, who was both the hostess and our server. She was welcoming, attentive, and handled everything smoothly, even as a few more parties came in while she was the only one serving at the time. One thing I really appreciated was that she let us know upfront what items were out of stock before we even looked at the menu. That level of transparency is huge and makes the experience so much better. My son ordered a slider with fries from the kids' menu. It comes with just one slider, so I ordered a second, definitely the right call. He enjoyed it, and the fries were cooked well, just a little on the salty side for our taste (ketchup helped balance that out). I had the shrimp tacos. It's packed and perfect portion for lunch. The shrimp, pineapple slaw, and chipotle mayo was a nice mix. The restaurant was clean (including the bathrooms). The location is also a plus, super close to the Art Museum, which makes it a great stop before or after visiting. Overall enjoyable, and I'd come back, especially to try more of the menu and the drinks.
