Went to drive thru. They said payment machine issue at drive thru. I went inside. Then they told me to use kiosk to order. I asked, do I have to make my food as well? They were not busy. This is not the first time they have told me to use kiosks. I pay with cash, so it's 2 lines I have to stand in. 1 order, 1 pay. This place is hit and miss on service. Haha, ok. I confess. I get cravings for Taco Bell from time to time and this is my go to location on Capital Boulevard! A quick shot up from downtown Raleigh, you've also got a gas station and Waffle House nearby. What to say about the food? It's the usual Taco Bell menu with a variety of "ground beef", steak and chicken options wrapped up in cheese, beans, sour cream, lettuce and tomato items so it all sort of tastes the same. But it's fine for a quick lunch. Where this location differs is the service. It's usually VERY good either at the counter or drive-thru. Super polite order takers and quick service, they've always gotten my order right. So while I don't get the cravings too often, they'll get you in and out lickety-split. So yeah, a guilty pleasure for me and if you're reading this review, probably for you, too. :-P read more

When I was inside that place it feels like I was in a jungle everything and their was full of trash on the floors the trash cans was full no one bothered to take it out in the men's bathroom it didn't make sense to me that they let that bathroom be like that. There's no soap in the soap dispenser in the toilet was full of crap. They weren't friendly, didn't acknowledge me when I said "thank you" and my politeness was not reciprocated. Order was made wrong; we asked for extra jalapeño sauce on our quesadilla, received none. Seemed like we waited longer for our food to be made than usual, possibly due to the personal conversations among the staff. You'd think during that extra time they would've made the food as we requested, especially considering we were the only customer who had ordered recently. The absurd thing about all of this is I wouldn't have cared about the lack of politeness or the wait if my food was prepared as requested. It's not like we had anywhere else to be. Taco Bell is a chain we're all pretty familiar with, so I'm not sure how to review this location, except to say that they hardly ever screw up my order. I have been here numerous times, ordering for as many as 10 people at a a time, and only once have I had to stand at the counter and complain about missing items in my order. (When you're spending over $40 at a Taco Bell, you almost EXPECT it to throw them for a loop, so I wasn't that bothered by it as long as they provided the food with no argument, which they did). I may be in the minority but ever since the "their beef isn't REAL beef" scandal, I actually think their tacos are LESS satisfying. Sorry but it had to be said. This place is kinda sad and dreary. Maybe it was partially because of the weather? The girl that rung me up was super quick, but it took kinda a long time to get my order. Whoever was on the assembly line was moving at snail speed. It's interesting to try the Taco Bell app to pre-order your food. It... well, almost fails if you're just going in to grab a couple of items. Sure the app lets you custom order your items but you can also do that in the Taco Bell itself. And since they don't have warming lamps it almost defeats the purpose of getting it made in advance. If you're ordering lots of food for a group then the app is pretty good at saving you some time. This Taco Bell looks pretty good still from its remodeling a while back. The 'hood hasn't destroyed it. Yet. Even the bathroom looked clean. Bravo! Happy taco! read more

Nothing fancy to write about this location besides the reviews about the wait time in the drive thru weren't my experience at all. My order was taken quickly and I was pulling off in 5 minutes or less. If I could give no stars, I would. The lady that was working front counter at the register on April 23rd at 1:11 P.M. was the worse lady I have ever seen working at a fast food restaurant! I understand we all have bad days here and there, but this isn't my first bad encounter with this lady. Take care when visiting this location. I came in for lunch today, normally I would use a drive thru ... order and be on my way. Today I came inside so I could wash my hands and decided to eat in. I ordered my food from the cordial cashier who took my order. The cashier then handed me my drink cup and receipt. When I went to dispense a drink from the Pepsi machine I noticed that the drink mix was coming from the nozzle but there was additional water running down the outside of the nozzle and mixing in my cup, where was this extra water coming from and how could it be sanitary running down the outside of the nozzle like that ? I made the cashier aware and the shift manger ... they pretty much just ignored the situation as I watched customer after customer fill their cup with this mixture of unsanitary water running out from around the drink nozzle and mix in their cups. I am not a scientist or food inspector but, surely it cannot be good to mix water running down the outside of the machine with what's coming out of the nozzle .... can it? read more
