Taco Chop is an amazing company to host any of your events. We recently used Danny for our wedding and had such an amazing event for the 160 guests. The food is beyond spectacular and super tasty. The guests could not stop commenting on the quality and freshness of the food. We ordered a variety of meats and veggie options to accommodate different dietary restrictions. Danny can make anything work. I really like spicy salsa so Danny's wife made an amazing spicy red salsa and avocado green salsa. I have literally been eating it everyday since my wedding. Taco Chop is a very professional company. They are super friendly, show up on time, provide a very beautiful set up and clean-up. As I was hosting my wedding at a hotel, I had to overcome some obstacles to allow for outside food on the property. Danny and his crew are fantastic. First, the food is delicious. He catered two parties for us this month to celebrate our two son's college and high school graduation party and then our niece's high school graduation party. The main entrees were delicious, prepared and cooked on site. We had chicken, carne asada (he used a high quality grade of beef) and carnitas The beans were delicious and he did not serve those lousy Peruvian beans. He served good old fashion pinto beans. The Mexican rice was fluffy and had a nice touch of mixed vegetables in the rice. He served freshly chopped condiments and prepared two delicious and refreshing Mexican drinks: orchata and a pineapple-basil drink that was out of this world. He also served grilled corn. The guacamole was freshly prepared with plenty of avocados. He didn't pulverize the avocados into that crappy stuff served by amateur caterers. He provided high quality plates, napkins and plastic utensils. The plates were thick, oval paper plates, and not those silly flimsy paper plates that fold up and drop your food when you walk back to your table. Then for an encore, he also made nachos on demand. Yummy and a complete surprise. Now I am no vegetarian ( who wants to eat mulch all day?) but if you must, Danny will whip up something that is delicious and satisfying. And best of all, he and his crew clean up and leave your place as if they were never there. Danny says he can do BBQs and can prepare other entrees besides tacos. I can hardly wait to use him for our next event. Don't bother using someone else. His prices may be a bit higher than others, but as I always say"Quality is remembered long after the price is paid". We will have great memories of these events and everyone raved about the food. Most important, Danny is a true professional. This is his business. We used Taco Chop for my husbands 40th and we were blown away. The food is fantastic, Danny went around passing out quesadillas and tostadas prior to the tacos being ready and the presentation is unparalleled. They do a beautiful set up complete with a Mexican style area rug and table coverings worthy of any five star event. And the food is incredible. We have been eating the left overs for breakfast, lunch and dinner for two days now and it's just as good as when Danny and his wife served it fresh. We had Taco Chop cater our wedding weekend "welcome event" and were absolutely blown away by the quality of the food and overall setup. Every one of our guests commented that this was some of the best Mexican food they had ever had. The event had around 90 guests, so we were a bit worried that there would be a long wait for food but Danny's team was quick, friendly, and extremely well prepared. While the quality of the food definitely sets this company apart, we were also really impressed with the special touches (colorful tablecloths, decor, quality plates etc) that made the event feel much more polished. It is my honor to write the first Yelp review for Taco Chop. I was in need for some sort of catering for 75 adults for a post funeral reception. I searched through dozens of caters on Yelp ranging from Taco guys to Hot Dog carts. I was only searching for highly rated companies as I wanted better than average food. I found a few good companies however they all lacked in different areas like response time, menu options or presentation. First Impression: I actually stumbled across Taco Chop on Instagram when searching #tacocatering. I was blown away by the pictures. The Roasted Corn presentation is what attracted me. You have to ask around everywhere else to get someone to do Tacos and Corn but Taco Chop had it all part of their package and shown beautifully. I seen their food pictures, food presentation and read the good comments left by previous clients. Initial Contact: I left a comment on their page with my info and boom I get an email from Danny the owner no more than 15 minutes later with what their package includes and asking for more details regarding my event. Once we worked out the menu and the amount of people he quoted me a price. Not gonna lie I had a bit of sticker shock when compared to a few other quotes I got from a family friend who does taco catering and other Yelp companies etc. When he sent the price he said but let me explain why. He explained he uses only the best freshest ingredients from the best suppliers. He stated his Asada is actually Angus Steak ordered fresh and prepared by Taco Chop in their secret way. He said nothing is rushed. He stated the chips are hand made along with the Salsas and Guacamole. So after hearing all that goes into his package I was sold. I felt like I was hiring a Chef with fresh recipes he cared about. Most taco guys bring pre marinated flank steak they picked up at the meat market on their way along with store bought chips and salsa. So needless to say I felt more than comfortable with his price and hired him. The Event: Danny texted me when he was in route and gave me a play by play on his timing. He and his wife showed up on time and quickly setup and went into action. The Rustic food display was very impressive and very professional. It looked like a 5 star restaurant set up shop in our yard. The quality of meat stood out as well.. no fatty tiny pieces to chew on. The Carne Asada was actual Steak!! Very Juicy & Flavorful. The Chicken and Carnitas were to die for!! The guacamole was delicious and of the quality you'd expect to pay $16+ for at Javiars. Let me say everything tasted amazing. I had expressed to Danny I was worried about running out of food. So turns out he had brought extra Carnitas just in case and ended up giving it to me at the end. Who does that!! That gesture alone shows that he cares about the client and the experience. We had plenty of left overs. I had family literally arguing over who gets to take what home. The left overs tasted just as good the next morning :) The Conclusion: YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR. I have no regrets hiring Taco Chop and SO GLAD WE DID. I got texts for days from family raving about how delicious the food was. They said it was the best Taco Guy they've had and I totally agree. We met with Danny tonight to discuss our wedding. He gave us a sampling of the food they serve. First off the food was amazing. There were three taco meats we tasted. They were chicken, steak and carnitas. I can not describe how perfect each of the meats were. No exaggeration if you went to a five star hotel and were served chicken, pork or steak, they would not be better. Many people had mentioned his pricing was a bit more expensive. The truth is for a wedding most places are $40 to $60 or more per person. Danny's prices are roughly the cost per person of getting a chipotle burrito, chips and salsa, and a drink. (Don't get me wrong, Chipotle is amazing.) For the same price Danny can make us tacos with three kinds of meats available, rice, beans, fruit, Aquas Frescos (fresh juices), guacamole, chips, homemade salsa, ceviche and roasted corn. Working with Danny and his wife (Taco Chop owners) was a 5-star experience from the very first text. This was the first time I had ever hired and entirely communicated with a catering company via text and any concerns I may have had quickly vanished with Danny's responsiveness and professionalism. From initial communications to contract agreement, touring the site for the best location, to set-up and service, everything went as he said it would. And the food? It was incredible. Not only is Taco Chop's presentation gorgeous, the food is absolutely delicious. We ordered the tacos with three meats (chicken, asada and carnitas), beans and rice, assorted condiments (chips, salsa, guacamole, onion, cilantro, cabbage) as well as the corn on the cob. For once reviews really were accurate. I looked at a lot of different catering places for my wedding party. When I spoke with Danny, he was very prompt in his replies and his pricing was very reasonable for what he offered. We scheduled two months in advance and he, true to the reviews, was extremely reliable, thorough, professional, and courteous. With all the stresses of a wedding party and family reunion, it was so nice to be able to relax knowing the food was taken care of so well. I especially liked how high the quality of his food is, and his produce. I visited his restaurant and tasted some of the amazing food he had to offer and felt even more comfortable. Throughout the process he went above and beyond making sure everything was as it should be, well past what he was required to do. The day of, he showed up on time and fully prepared, and made an amazing meal for my 70-80 guests.
