Pro: Great food. Taco stands in OC all had the same basic offerings, so it's great to finally have a modern twist on tacos. Cons: only open for breakfast and lunch, so most people with day jobs can only eat here on weekends.....if they're willing to wait in long lines out the door. Despite the limited hours, they still can't manage to serve the full menu. Breakfast is only available till 11am, but they do make an exception for weekends. Lunch items aren't available till 11....regardless. I've been trying to get in here for breakfast since they opened, but only made it finally because I had a random weekday off for a little staycation. I asked a staff member why they weren't open for dinner. She said its probably because the owner didn't want to make them work too long since they have to be in so early for breakfast. Ever heard of shift-work?? The concept has only been around a couple of centuries now, so catch up please. Coffee only comes with half & half. I use to be a die hard Torchys fan... then I had Taco Deli. I have yet to have a bad taco here. My fav is the sirloin egg and cheese. Throw a little bit of their habanero salsa on it and WOW. YES. Austin's best kept secret is out! I'm a huge fan of Tacodeli tacos and Dallas has them nailed! The flour tortillas are different from in Austin and I think even better. I will warn, you have to find YOUR tacos, some of the ones on the menu are a miss for me. I love the Akaushi beef, mexico city sirloin/chicken, migas, carne asada, & sirloin egg and cheese. This location has also had great service and has been very friendly. It's always incentive to come back when the management is laid back, easy going, aims to please, and doesn't transfer their stresses of running the business onto you, the customer. My only complaint is that it's too far away from me. Please head towards Colleyville/Southlake/Keller/Grapevine, I beg you! Very high price point tacos. The staff and Cafe is very nice and well up kept . The food is good but not at what they have them priced at. I paid 13.50 for 2 tacos rice beans and a fountain drink. I'm local in the area I know the area is becoming more upscale but this is still oak cliff. I won't return just sole fact of the price. :( read more

I ordered the cowboy and the meat was so soft and the flour tortillas were oh so fresh I could've eaten that by itself (salsa on the side of course). Today was my first Tacodeli experience. I placed a pick up order online during lunch time. The tacos are Austin tacos. Not Mexico tacos, San Antonio tacos, greater south texas area tacos....Austin tacos, which I would say are typically on the less greasy, healthier, more expensive side. In my opinion this is not bad, but just so no one gets pissy about them not being 'authentic'. Despite recognizing regional differences, I've had a very difficult time adjusting to what passes for Mexican food around here. I ordered a Heather taco (refried bean, cheese, and avocado) and a Carne Asada taco(w/ avo as well). I also threw in a side of the red rice. All very flavorful, not super greasy or dry. I was being bad and ordered with yummy, soft flour tortillas. Not fluffy but good flavor. The icing on the cake for me was the light colored green salsa, not to be confused for mild salsa verde. This is burn your lips, make your nose sweat salsa. The only draw backs are that tacos are $4 each (wtf dallas) and still smaller and less filling than what you get further south. I will admit they are bigger than most of the popular taco places in Dallas. I will be back to try out more of the menu. TL;DR Pros:great flavor, bomb green salsa, larger than avg for Dallas, easy online ordering, healthy options Cons: still small and expensive tacos to a South Texan. read more

This place is fantastic!! We got 4 different tacos and they all tasted amazing. The staff is a blast. Great hot sauce options. My personal favorite is their house hot sauce. I tried the corn and flour tortillas. Both were tasty, but I must say that the corn was my favorite. We will definitely be back! Tacos were fine but waaaaaay too pricey for such a small taco. You are better off going to El Si Hay, which has better tacos for much cheaper. At Taco Deli the tacos are $4-$5 a piece, so you'd think the tacos would be huge, right? Wrong. I'm a small person, at 5'2 and 95 pounds, so I'm not a glutton but I think this place cheats you out of your hard earned money with their inflated prices and small mediocre tacos. You have to check the tiny menus that are conveniently placed only at the register to know how much something costs. Excellent tacos! These tacos are legit, and so delicious! You can truly taste the quality. I had the Pollo Fantastico, the Cowboy Taco, and the Jess special (breakfast taco). I highly recommend the Coyboy Taco. It was the best of the three. Also, this place serves very good queso! Some of the salsas are very very spicy so be careful.. As an avid Tacodeli fan, I was surprised it took me so long to finally try their new Dallas location. It definitely did not disappoint! If possible, I recommend calling in your order so you can skip the line! My all time favorite breakfast taco is The Otto on wheat. I also love The Heather on wheat. But you really can't go wrong with anything they have here. The doña sauce mixed with verde is my favorite topping for nearly every taco...a few of them just beg for the smokey red sauce. If you're creating your own breakfast taco, try adding the papas to it! Too many good choices here. I'm so glad we finally got one! read more

Went on a Tuesday and had the daily special, a shrimp taco, and chips & salsa (went with the medium salsa). Chips are thick and salsa is quite tasty. The tacos were very good. I am a corn tortilla fan and these were a bit too mealy so fell apart very easily. Overall the tacos are a bit pricey and it definitely gets crowded and noisy if you get there after 11:30. Fantastic, just like the original in Austin. My only complaint is the hours but oh well, they can do what they want if they keep making awesome tacos and hot sauces! I went on a Monday and got the daily special which was superb. The hangar steak was well marinated and tender. I also had the shrimp taco which were perfectly cooked and a pork taco which was good as well. The sauces were top notch as usual and the queso was delicious. I am so happy that we finally have a Tacodeli in Dallas! Tacodeli was always a stop for me whenever I am in ATX for the weekend. As always I am never disappointed by the service and spectacular food! It is great that the food is consistent as I have had before! If you plan on coming out here, make sure you don't come when it is during heavy foot traffic time as you have to consider that the parking lot is small and space inside can fill up pretty quick! read more

The first time I went to tacodeli was in Austin and so I was super excited when they opened one in Dallas. It's a great place to have fresh tacos. The ingredients are fresh and you can taste the actual flavor of each ingredient. I am a vegetarian and they have 6-7 options for people like me. I got the heather and space cowboy and they both were good. I love their spicy salsa's. Chips and queso for the table and you are set. The only complain is they close at 3! They should extend their hours at least to 5 :) their servers are awesome as well! read more
