I'm a fan. Quick, easy, great food and flavor. I was hungry running errands in the area and this place popped to the top of the list of lunch spots. Glad I stopped by 30 mins ago. This place is definitely popular as a lunch spot for locals and those working in the area. There were quite a bit of patrons in the place and foot traffic continued consistently. Had to try it twice to be sure, but I am a fan! I think the item that bumped this up from a "3" to a "4" was the beef fajita burrito. It seemed to only have the essentials - rice, beans, cheese, and meat - which would have been really good on its own. But then it also came "platter" style and included a side of rice, beans, sour cream, guacamole, lettuce, and pico de gallo. The sides and their delicious, spicy green salsa made it a pretty perfect burrito. Be prepared to feel stuffed. Overall, they seem to be very generous with their meats on the burritos and tacos and apart from the beef fajita, I like their barbacoa and carnitas. I'm not as big a fan of the al pastor or pollo but I'm willing to give those, along with the lengua and chicarron, a(nother) try. Menu is fairly basic but so far, it doesn't seem like you can wrong ordering here. read more

A decent taco joint that has a hit and miss selection of really good or forgetable food. Walking in to this place, you see Wide open space with a bunch of picnic tables. Half the wall was a mural and the other half had some semi modern home decoration. Not a bad thing but nothing that stands out as a bit odd. The chicken was hit or miss with moisture. Some bites were juicy , the others were dry. It also had that generic pepper seasoning chicken they have at Mexican restaurants. Not my favorite. The lengua was my favorite one. The chefs there know exactly how to cook it as a perfect texture. The only way they can make it better, is if they charred the edges. If you had blindfolded me, I couldn't even tell it was tongue. Great beef flavor as well. The pastor tasted like they took some pork shoulder and marinated it. Not what I was expecting, but not bad either. I will say it could have had a more pronounced flavor. The taste of Pastor was there, but quite tame. If you eat it too quickly, you may forget how it even tasted. The rice is filler and completely forgettable. Don't waste your time eating them. The tortillas are Ok, but nothing special. I wished they were fried a little more but oh well. The charro beans were fantastic! Never have I had beans taste so good at a restaurant. They clearly spend time and effort into making the base flavor a wonderful meal. I love how there are hunks of meat with it. read more

Don't be discouraged by the outside appearance ladies and gents, for it's truly what's on the inside that counts. The taco plates gives you everything you need when it comes to an outstanding Mexican meal: rice, beans, onions, cilantro, grilled onions, jalapeno, salsa verde y roja! The Barbacoa is a little fatty but there is great flavor there and the chicken is not dried out like the other guys out there! The winner winner chicken dinner here y'all are the chips! But...if you are looking for dynamite old school-street style tacos served on a silver tray where the seating options are plenty but only at picnic tables with a sign overhead saying no wifi available, talk to each other then take a quick exit on your way back into DFW and grab a taco or three. I had the three taco platter with pollo, carnitas, and fajita steak...which also comes with rice, cilantro and grilled unions, grilled jalapeno, and a cup of charro beans that will make you want to meet the cook. I've been in twice, I thought it was good the first time I came in so I came back. I had three tacos plate of beef fajitas the first time with charred beans. The beans was cooked in pork fat for flavor, it was delicious. I made a mistake of ordering lengua the second time with refried beans. Not that I cant eat tongue, I've had it many other times before in tacos and other form of cuisine. The lengua taco was mushy and not flavorful when I had it. Refried beans was also a mistake over charred beans. I will only get charred beans next time and do not recommend lengua tacos. I was in for lunch both times and the line was long both times. Came here for lunch and walking in, it was pretty spacious. I thought this place seemed really cute from the pics but in person, it was ok lol. Maybe it wouldve been better at night. The food was great tho! My friend and I got the super nachos and the tres taco platter (barbacoa, beef fajita and carnita). The barbacoa was hands down my favorite, then it's the beef fajita and last carnita. The beans were pretty salty but maybe that's how Mexican beans are? Idk but definitely too salty for me. Now the nachos here are HUGE. So happy they give a generous amount of guac w it too! They also let me order the beans and jalapeños on the side which was nice. Both of the entrees were like 7ish dollars so it's a great price for the amount of food in my opinion. So love the portions, really only loved barbacoa but rest of the food was good/ok so don't feel that drawn to come back bc it's kinda far for me. I was picking up breakfast for the office today. I walked in and a friendly woman was mopping. She greeted me with a "hello" and a smile. Before I got to the cashier another girl had greeted me as well. I asked her about a burrito package deal that I saw online which was not valid in store. I ordered 2 burritos-chorizo and 3 tacos-sausage. My bill came out to $20 but that was because she accidentally charged me for 6 tacos. They have tomatillo and guajillo. Both good. The tacos are served with jalapeños and diced tomatoes. The burritos appeared to have been made from ready to cook tortillas and the tacos where flour. The food tasted homemade and was really good. I wish they served with sour cream or some other garnish\condiment other than tomatoes. I will return to try the lunch menu. I'd def go back for breakfast. Plus they have Mexican soda!! read more

Place was very busy at lunch, and doing a good portion of take out service. Ordered the Pollo tacos and Charro beans. The Tacos were very full of chicken, could have used a bit more seasoning, and moisture, but were very good with the onions, cilantro, and the salsas. The Charro beans were excellent! I have been to many parts of Mexico and this place reminds me of the little taco places I visited for breakfast and only open until 2 pm. The tacos are superb. I love the lengua and chicharones tacos. The tortillas used are thin and with great flavor. I think they are homemade. On top of being great and authentic tasting tacos, the tacos are cheap! $1.85 per taco. My lunch only cost me $5 bucks. That's rare nowadays. They also put a sauce in the tacos so I didn't even try their green sauce which I should try next time. This place will be my lunch place from now on when I hit our office in Dallas.
