Slamming!!! Place is spotlessly clean. Even the bathrooms were spotless. Had tables outside in the sun but my father and I decided to sit indoors. We started with the margaritas. I was shocked at how good it was. I wasn't expecting one of the best margaritas I've ever had. We shared the shrimp taquitos and elote corn dip. The tortilla chips were really good. My dad killed the dip. It's my first time having birria tacos. I added the cheese for a buck. They have a hot sauce station. Which even has creama. Of course I had to try all the hot sauces. I got a meal to go for my sister who is gluten free. Most of the menu if actually gluten free. I'm not a vegetarian but the vegetarian tacos sounded so good! Great variety of choices. Something for everyone for sure. Our waiter was so attentive and helpful. I got to peak into the new bar attached to the restaurant. It will be opening soon I believe. Very exciting. This restaurant is so exceptionally good that it deserves more than 5 stars. It has made us plan our interstate trips so that we end up here when the restaurant is open, just so we can try more of their tacos and get their fabulous chicken wings, rice and beans. Lately, they have additional vegan options, although we get meat and fish. Most of the menu is gluten free. The staff are all very welcoming and friendly. We tend to eat outside and the several tables along the sidewalk. We get takeout for dinner later as well. Nearby fast electric car chargers in the same complex contribute to the excellence of this location for the traveler. read more

Glad we tried this place. Delicious five-star pastor, buttery shrimp, and Baja tacos. So good. Mild but delicious horchata. The other things - the rice and beans and the kale avocado salad - I was not a fan of. Both were very salty and the kale salad was a confused salad, both very sweet and salty. Stick to the tacos and you're good. I'd still choose Mexican Fiesta in Mount Kisco overall over this, but Cantina's tacos are worth coming back for again. read more

We just ordered delivery, bored with other options in the area and wow! We are birria lovers and their selection of birria dishes was fantastic - tacos, quesadillas and even birria ramen. Exciting to have a new Mexican eatery in the area and I was eager to try the latest. Alas, this one is just not ready for prime time. Or more accurately, not for adult prime time.... Located in a strip mall this smallish room is as brightly lit and inviting as a high school cafeteria. Not the place most adults would choose for dinner, but surely, I reasoned, takeout would be fine.... Oops. Wrong. A large TV dominates one end of the room. Three kids surrounded it and were deeply involved in whatever game they were playing. Except this was already dinnertime and way past any time for an after-school special. No one seemed to care. Alicia got the chicken and I opted for a carnitas burrito. Rice and beans were plopped onto one tiny spot on the tortilla, the protein on another. There was no attempt to distribute anything and apparently little idea what was being made or how it was to be eater. And then things got worse. Zero taste. Zero flavor. Zero spice. Zero. Just a warm flour tortilla stuffed with tasteless mush, saved only with the addition of pretty good salsas (which had to be requested separately). It finally dawned on me as I watched the kids at their TV games. This is a place best suited for kids, not adults. Stopped by during lunch and ordered a few items off the menu to sample. We were particularly excited to try the birria tacos and the chicken empanada. Both of which were delicious, and made with very fresh ingredients. Flavor of everything was excellent and the meat portion in the meals was generous. So many items on the menu, and many were gluten free. We ended the meal with their churros (also gluten free) and they did not disappoint. The location is right off of Rt. 684 and it's in a plaza that's easy to overlook, so seek this place out. We ordered take out and were impressed with the quick and efficient service. My husband and I looked at each other over dinner tonight as we always do when a meal is incredible and I said, "Is this another five-star meal?" Of course, he said yes... but then we wondered if we had already left them a 5-star review. I'm so glad we checked, because we hadn't, and Taconah absolutely deserve another. We've been dining in and ordering takeout since the day this family-owned restaurant opened, and they have never once served a disappointing meal. The food is consistently delicious. Every drink is perfect, every dish is fresh, and the entire restaurant remains as spotless as it was on opening day. The staff is always kind, pleasant, attentive, and quick. Nothing made me happier tonight than seeing people slowly trickle in. We ran across it essentially at random because it's near an EV charger we were using on a long road trip and it was so cute, we decided to stop for lunch. The tacos and salads were delicious.
