Tacony is the parent corporation for many sewing items such as Babylock, Nancy's Notions and Koala furniture. My review is about Tacony and their Koala brand. Basically, the furniture is very nice but the buying experience, delivery, and customer service is terrible. I purchased a suite of furniture in March 2019, was promised delivery in 10-12 weeks and instead it took over 10 months. During that time, I reached out many times to see where my furniture was, first to my dealer (Quality Sewing in Tukwila, WA) and also Tacony directly. Each time I received the same type response, 'it's being made now, or we're waiting for a response from the factory, or it's on it's way", etc etc etc. In all actuality it wasn't being made at all. Not once did ANYONE from Koala call me to update. When it finally did ship, part of the order got lost enroute and was found in a delivery warehouse, 4 separate deliveries were made because parts of it were made wrong, one crew didn't have tools to assemble it (so they left it on the floor in pieces), and on the final delivery one piece was not assembled properly and the extension leaf support ripped off right after the crew left. It's still laying on the carpet. I wrote directly to Mr. Kenneth Tacony, Chairman and Ms. Kristi Humes, CEO on Jan 16, 2020 and to this date (Feb. 19, 2020) I have never received a response. It's clear Tacony and it's brands have some kind of internal turmoil going on and I would not recommend buying this furniture or anything from this company until they clean up their 'house'. I spent 30 years in customer service and to not even give the courtesy of a reply to a valued customer is unbelievable. I guess I'm not considered 'valued'? I own two Koala suites and 2 Babylock Ovation sergers (also their brand) so I'm heavily invested in their products. I do not think I'll be sending any more business their way and I would suggest you think twice before doing so yourself. read more
