Being the iconoclast that I am, I neither got tacos nor al pastor at Tacos Al Pastor haha. I was intrigued by the menu which has a variety of options. No vegetarian options though so non meat eaters beware. I did end up trying some mulitas since I rarely see them on menus. I got a surf n turf (mar y tierra) with shrimp and carne asada, and a birria mulita. This was partially because I only had enough cash for those two items and I didn't really want to use Zelle for the food truck (No credit card orders here). The mulitas were tasty! If you've never had one before they are like a fried corn tortilla sandwich. The fillings were plentiful and well seasoned and the tortillas were lightly crispy and were a good sandwich material. The mulitas came with 3 different salsas (1 red, 2 green), and a bag of limes, cucumbers, and radishes. I appreciated these little extras as they went well with the meal. Waited almost 30 minutes for 2 tacos and burrito. You'd think after that time they'd at least serve you something worth the time...nope. Pretty sure they don't season their meat like, at all. Would give 0 stars if i could, food is good but service is horribleee!!! I keep coming back thinking they will change but its always the same with the wait time. Ordered 2 asada fries and was told that it would take 15 min, but instead waited 40min. All they do is chit chat with one another and don't serve their customers. There was also someone ahead of me that looked irritated aswell due to them taking agess to "make" the food. Very bad service. First time trying this food truck and it says the open at 3 Pm. Got there at 3:06 and they were barley setting up and said they wouldn't be ready for another 30 minutes. Immediately irritated but we drove out of the way to try it so we waited. We ordered carne asada fries and al pastor tacos. The fries were drenched in nacho cheese sauce...like the kind you put on NACHOS. Never had carne asada fries, they were crispy and not soggy and they definitely give you enough meat but the type of cheese threw me off. I wouldn't order them again. The al pastor tacos were really good! I love the flavor and that they come with pineapple chunks in it. You can't really find those nowadays. But I sill say they over do it on the onions. I also wish they have guac or the salsa type guac to put on your tacos. Lastly, I ordered the horchata to drink and it wasn't good. I wouldn't recommend. read more

I went here on a Friday night because many of the other options were close to closing. I didn't realize that it was a taco truck and so the only seating available was outdoor. That being said, that did have multiple heaters which made it not too miserable to be sitting outside late at night in a December. I thought it was cool that they had an option for a keto taco. I got that and a vampiro which is basically just a caramelo or a mini quesadilla with corn tortillas. I wouldn't say it was the best I've ever had but it wasn't bad and hit the spot! I also like that they had sparkling water as an option. I wish there were a digital menu or a menu in a different location as it was hard to see cause there were some barriers in front of it. read more

While the Al pastor was good, I wasn't impressed--I would rather get the Al pastor at Tacos Huicho. The flour tortillas were slightly tough and leathery and, while good, the carne asada and chicken were dry. For better tacos nearby, drive down the road 4 mins to Joe's Tacos. read more

My boyfriend came over for the weekend wanted tacos so we decided to come here but unfortunately they got our order wrong. Basically my bf ordered a "super burrito" or whatever big burrito they have which meant it came with EVERYTHING. Tell me why when we got out order my bf opened his burrito put salsa on it and there was literally nothing in it besides the meat, no beans no rice no sour cream no a it nothing just meat. Keep in mind that the burrito was $12 My boyfriend was okay with it he went back and made them aware so the guy said he will redo it for him So now we're waiting, my food is getting cold, 5min pass by and they give him the "fixed burrito back" So there goes my boyfriend again opening up the burrito to make sure it had everything it mentioned on the menu And no they just added beans At this point I'm get frustrated, my food is now cold, his burrito is still not well prepared My boyfriend goes back to let them know it's not done correctly, the guy the. This is one of my favorite places to get taco. Especially for late night cravings because they open pretty late. The flavoring on the meat is always on point. You can tell they actually prepared and marinated it well. The service is quick and they are very patient even when it's super busy. The seating area is quite accommodating and comfortable. I have been coming here for years and will continue to support them. read more

The definition of "street tacos." Although the wait time can be long at times it's definitely worth it. My gf & I always try new "authentic" Mexican restaurants and are almost always disappointed at how little they remind us of our home in Mexico. However Tacos Al Pastor has never disappointed us, their set up always reminds me of tacos shops from Mexico, from the Mexico sodas & Agua Frescas to the exterior lights and music they play it's the the perfect place for tacos. The food is always great as well, my personal favorite being the Al Pastor Mualitas. Every time I come I always leave happy. I recommend them to all my friends and family. read more

If tacos isn't your thing then you can have a mulita or a quesadilla. You'll be so amazed to see the amount of meat they pack on there , the tortilla explodes with meat and cilantro and onions . The tortillas are unlike any other I've had , They slather the them in oil and they're yellow corn. They also offer some of the tastiest aguas frescas I've had! I was severely craving guacamole. I wanted real authentic guac! We had been to this truck over the summer and the food was great. This was not the case tonight. We ordered the super nachos with al pastor and EXTRA guacamole. We took our food to go because it was a bit chilly out tonight. When we got home the nachos were not super. The meat was not melt in your mouth like it was before. It was just small slices of pork. It was covered in creamy cheese and sour cream but was missing one major thing....my guacamole!!! I don't like to give out this low of a rating unless it's truly needed. Their food was just ok but what I detested was their customer service. We went there and my wife did not like the flavor of the taco they made her. Something about the meat was off so instead of a refund we asked them to make a different one. We were straight up told that they don't do remakes and would not do a refund. To add insult to injury, they stated that if we want a different taco we'd have to pay for it even if we didn't like the one they gave us. My boyfriend and I just checked this taco truck out yesterday for dinner. We were going based off the menu pictures on yelp, and when we arrived the tacos were actually $2. We ordered 3 pastor tacos, and Carne Asada fries. The tacos came with cilantro (more than I would like) and onion on top and some grilled onions on the side. They were kind of small for the price compared to other taco joints we have gone to. The Carne Asada fries came in a big portion though, enough for both of us to share, they use nacho cheese on them too. Yumm. The hype here is real. Mexican-style pork tacos is the passion that is being prepared. You're served delicious thin seasoned meat cooked and sliced from a spinning steal spit. This spot has a condiment bar for tacos toppings. You can tell the workers are developing food for their happiness and enjoyment. They greet the customers well and make them feel at home. The Papas al pastor is fries topped with melted cheese, caramelized onions, guacamole and fresh pico de gallo. The regular pastor tacos is an appetizing marinated meat sided with onions and cilantro. Since this truck is fairly new, the wait time wasn't long. They've honestly improved and are getting bigger as time passes. Business flows steady and seems to get busier. read more

We ate here for the first time last week and it was DELISH. We're always looking for good Mexican food and it's hard to find one for some reason. This food truck was at Ford Auto Nation Scottsdale yesterday as I was getting my vehicle serviced. I ordered two TACOS DE PASTOR and decided to order rice at the last minute. After I ordered the rice I over heard the cook tell the lady "this is all the rice I have left", which was the very last bottom of the pan, burnt rice, that was un eddible. This wasn't the biggest issue though. Today I spent the day in bed because of food poisoning from the tacos. The tacos had a weird taste, like they used old meat. At the time I was eating I couldn't put my finger on the weird taste, but after spending the day in and out of the restroom and the fact they gave me burnt rice I couldn't eat, just to make an extra $2. I would not recommend this place to anyone. You get better quality at taco bell. read more
