Great service, delicious food! Tried this place a few times parked at the Chevron gas station in Silverdale. We usually call ahead to order and our food is ready within 10 minutes. Moved here recently from California so we miss the endless array of Mexican restaurants. If these guys opened a brick and mortar location, we'd be regulars. Also the burrito punch card is a plus!

This place unfortunately has no flavor. It was very overpriced. I hope the food gets better.

GREAT Mexican flavors. So far I've only had the poblano burrito, but I crave it every day since I've had it.

I ordered the chicken fajitas and it included a side of refried beans and rice. I'd say the beans were ok they had cheddar cheese on top. The rice was ok as well. It also included your choice of tortillas and I went with flour. They were soft and nice size. The chicken had a good flavor and came out nice and hot. Combing all toppings on the flour and making tacos turned out to be really good after all. The plate is generous portion and will leave you satisfied. I ordered a guava margarita on the rocks and the drink itself is huge. I enjoyed the drink as it was refreshing and I was needing to cool down from all the walking. Price for these two items were $41 not including tip left. So very valuable meal on the island and well enjoyed.

She treated locals with kindness and us like we were a problem. Do not recommend at all. The male bartenders were great though! She asked us to pay in cash for each drink and then was going to charge us for chips and salsa while the other table could order and have free chips and salsa Honestly one of the worst experiences I hav ever had. Such a tourist trap- they were price gouging for the Fourth of July. I guess that's how they see the American way. Two thumbs down- do not give these people your money

Sure you can go across town and get yourself (likely) a better margarita for $18, but why?! San Carlos's were just fine, and you could have plenty! - Chips and salsa were a hit, as was their homemade guacamole. Our server, Molly, said that Bainbridge isn't really a "zesty demographic", but the salsa was a lot spicier than I expected. And she brought some habanero hot sauce for even more zing! - The veggie burrito my girlfriend ordered was really good. Well worth the $18. - The house made flan was excellent! Not to be missed! - Wait staff was friendly and attentive. Molly was a gas! Now, the misses: - I ordered the tostada. It was pretty simple: refried beans spread on a flat crispy tortilla, topped with tomatoes and lettuce. Nothing fancy, but perfectly edible. The Spanish rice that came with it was the saltiest rice I've ever had. Frankly, it was inedible. So, effectively, I paid $16 for a medium-sized tostada and nothing else! - Our orders got "misplaced" a couple of times (drinks and second chips), and in both cases when we enquired, Molly rushed our missed order through and got it to us pronto. That's certainly a hit, but the fact that the orders were missed in the first place.... I wouldn't call San Carlos the best Mexican on Bainbridge Island. But there are a lot of upsides, and I know we'll certainly be back. Especially on Tuesdays!!

The ambiance is attractive and we were immediately greeted and seated upon our arrival. There is a private lot. I started with an exotic drink with mezcal and fresh blackberries since this is blackberry country. I forget the name but it is on the picture. It was delicious. The wife had Passion Fruit and it was also delicious. For entrees, the wife had chicken mole and did not care for it. The chicken was bone-in which is normally fine, but she did not care for this chicken. The mole was very spicy. There is a difference between flavorful with a kick or slow burn, but this was overtly spicy. She did not eat much and did not take it home. I had an exotic dish which I don't remember the name but it was essentially a chicken stew served in mortar bowl. Rice and black beans came on the side, but I added them to the stew to make it thicker. It was delicious. Very flavorful with a slow burn. If the review were based on this dish alone, it would be 5 stars. Our server was attentive and helpful. I liked the vibe and food more than the wife did, We are in Poulsbo only a couple of days so we probably won't return, but if we were here longer I would lobby for a return.

Individuals behind me were taken first because they had to go orders. The menu does not reflect actual food prices. The rice and beans is shown as $7.25 but they charge $7.30. The chips and salsa show up as 4.13 but are charged as $4.25. There is a taco plate (which is what I ordered) on the menu for $12.43, but the very official printer paper taped in front of the register shows $12.99 (which is the actual charge). The menus are on tvs, so I wouldnt imagine it would be that difficult to update. The amounts aren't substantially different, but it's a little deceptive. It took 11 minutes for my order to be ready, which is pretty fast given the amount of customers they had. The rice and beans tasted like they came from the same supplier as many other. restaurants, they're fine but unremarkable. The chips were pretty tasty, but the salsa seemed quite watery. The tacos themselves were ok. Nothing special. The chicken tasted like it hadn't been seasoned at all. The red sauce for the tacos had zero spice. The habanero sauce tasted almost the same as the red sauce. The most spicy thing that came with the tacos was the grilled jalapeño, but that and the grilled onions just seemed weird and out of place. Think I will find a new taco place when I visit Poulsbo.

Not sure what other people ordered to encounter "no flavor," but we spend a lot of time in CA and these have as much flavor as our go-to spots when visiting. I am normally weary of ordering chicken since places usually overcook it and it's dry, but that has only happened one time out of a number of visits. Out of the shrimp, steak, and asada that I've tried, the chicken and shrimp are our favorite! If you order the taco plate (4 tacos) you can mix-n-match what kind of meat you want. We find they have plenty of flavor. The chicken enchilada plate with rice and beans is also consistently good. Not sure why ordering 2 tacos with rice and beans costed noticeably more than the 4 taco plate, but it did so I don't do that anymore. The chips and salsa were just okay so we don't normally order that anymore. The horchata is awesome! We get this everytime. Parking: minimal spaces located next to a liquor store, but we always seem to find a spot when we stop by for dinner.
