Tacos de Birria and medium Guacamole Mediano
Dominique W.

Low key, no frills Mexican restaurant serving up major flavor! The decor and music was very traditional and well done. I ordered the guac and birria tacos. The guac was good and tasted very fresh. The tacos were full of flavor. They have an option for 4 or 6 tacos. I went right at opening so service was great. Waiter was attentive and kind. I would definitely return if in the concord area!

Quesabirria

If you want authentic Mexican, I suggest you eat here! It's tucked away in a semi-busy shopping center in Concord. They offer several tequila options, and have signature margaritas. I ordered the "Quesabirria", which is a 10" wide pizza style dish made with tortillas and filled with birria, cilantro, and white onion. Of course, the provide a cup of consume as well. It was to die for. Also ordered Menudo, and 3 tacos (tongue, intestine, and cheek). Everything was incredible! I truly cannot wait to go back! Even the salsa they serve when you are seated is fresh and full of flavor. No bottled or bland salsa here! The service is decent, even though we had to wait a few times for refills, extras, etc. Price wise, you cannot beat it for the size of product you are given.

Tasted like pizza(or spaghetti) sauce

My group of 6 decided to try this place for dinner. It was my first time there but some of the others tried it and liked it. I am always willing to try out a Mexican restaurant. It all started with the typical ordering of drinks and being served up chips and salsa. The chips were good, hot, and crispy! The salsa tasted like pizza sauce with cilantro added to it. The salsa was the only thing that I didn't really like there. I ordered enchiladas topped with queso and served with rice and beans. They were delicious. Several people got the Tacos De Birria. This is a dish not found at many restaurants. They are wonderful! One person got the Arroz Con Pollo and another got the El Pastor tacos. Everything was good. The service was good. They added a "gratuity" to our bills for having 6 people in our party. I plan to return to support this family owned business.

Tacos de Birria

My coworkers and I specifically come to Tacos El Peladito to eat their tacos de birria. There are numerous other Mexican restaurants nearby who's birria we've tried as well but, Tacos El Peladito has proven to have the freshest food, friendliest staff, and cleanest restrooms/ dining area. The only negative thing I have to say is that I wish their salsa that is served with tortilla chips was homemade.

California Burrito

California Burrito is spectacular! I got mine as a to-go order because we didn't have time to stop and eat, so I can't speak to their sit down service. But the order was completed quickly, and the California Burrito reminded me very much of the ones I had in San Diego!

Great service and amazing tacos. Only thing missing is draft beer.

Esquites: street corn
Vy N.

I love family-owned businesses and this place has the best street tacos in the area! Food: Esquites: street corn with mayo, cheese, chili powder, and seasonings. Fabulous. The street tacos are great. We had al pastor, camera, tripa, and lengua. The tripa was crunchy like pork rinds and the al pastor sweet and savory. The restaurant prepares the al pastor meat in a trompo, how cool is that?! Also, it was my first time trying mole and it was thick, hearty, and delicious! Def want to clean the plate up with tortillas. The family gets the ingredients from Pueblo, where they're originally from, then prepare it in house for their patrons! My visit was amazing, the server answered my questions and I learned that mole differs depending on the region(Pueblo, Oaxaca, etc). The inside is spacious with eclectic decor and bomb salsa music. Patrons can come in, eat, and watch a good game of futból on TV. Check it out if you're ever in Concord!

Was not fond of their birria tacos or their chips. Not authentic Mexican food. The server rushed us the entire time

Unfortunately, the food was bad. The chips and salsa were bland. The taco meat was dry and bland. The refried beans and rice were bland. The cheese enchiladas and tostadas were bland. Are you seeing a theme here? Maybe they think Gringos prefer bland food? I'm not sure but Mexican food can be a lot of things but it should never be bland. Oh well, at least I got to try practicing my Spanish!
