What a delicious experience at Tacos El Rey! Their truck is on Fairview and they have tables and chairs so you can enjoy your meal there. Huge shoutout to the owner Eli for being so sweet and welcoming! And of course a shoutout to the chef for creating such tasty food. Our entire family enjoyed our meals tonight! We ordered Al pastor, asada and tacos de cabeza. Omg all of their meats are delicious and I honestly didn't expect it. It was a delightful experience. All of their salsas are delicious and they serve you fresh cucumbers and grilled onions as well. MUST try this spot! I will definitely, most certainly be back to get some tacos de al pastor and make sure to request some pineapple! This time I ordered an asada huarache. 10/10!!! Their drinks are also AMAZINGLY delicious! Their horchata 20/10

I've tried almost every taco spot in Santa Ana, I grew up here too there's no other like this spot, the carne, the tortilla, down to the salsa 10/10!! MUST TRY! Support this small business I promise you it doesn't disappoint. The horchata is so delicious too! they have seats if you want to eat there, plenty of space to park if you want to even eat in your car! :)

HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Haven't had bomb Mexican food in a long time! Portions are huge. Staff is friendly! MUST TRY; The carne asada torta lengua burrito Horchata (best I've ever had)

I'm totally surprised this place doesn't have more reviews!! Found this truck on Yelp next to my house and it was a bonus that they're open until midnight. The lady serving me was super kind too! I'm not even exaggerating when I'm saying... these are some of THE BEST TACOS i've ever had, and I've had a lot of tacos from many places. Al Pastor Tacos (5/5): Now I'm very picky when it comes to my tacos, especially al pastor. This place nailed the seasoning and texture of the meat. It was so savory, sweet, flavorful and sooo tender! The right amount of grease and the tortillas were delicious!! Not to mention that the plate also came with grilled onions, cucumbers, and a serrano pepper, which really adds to the tacos in my opinion. Seriously, you need to try their al pastor, it was BOMB! Horchata (5/5): A lot of horchatas I've had have been gritty, not well strained, or just lacking in flavor and sweetness. NOT HERE! The horchata was creamy, smooth, and had the right amount of sweetness I'm looking for!! I love that it had a cinnamon swirl to it too when I got it. It has a condensed milk taste, which I assume they used, that makes it sooo addicting. Not even being dramatic, one of the top horchatas I've had. Another man next to me raved to me about their strawberry agua fresca! They make pina, strawberry, and horchata. I'll have to get that one next time! I'm definitely coming back to try more of their items, they just got themselves a loyal customer. RUN DON'T WALK TO EAT HERE!!!

Saw all the reviews for this taco truck were pretty positive but wasn't sure since there was no customers, maybe it was the rainy day or still too early 17:40.I was already there so I said why not, if food not good then I just won't go back. Glad I decided to try it cause it was worth it, this place is good. Got the asada torta and darn it I should have gotten some tacos on the side. Truck had some cumbias going on in the speakers almost made bust el paso del chavo al estilo medio metro haha . Def gonna eat here when I'm in the area. Give this taco truck a try and support small businesses.

I used to work night shift nearby and getting tacos from this truck was my only joy of the work day. Two biter tacos. Ratios portioned appropiately. Tender meat. Salsas are very flavorful and I get extra to take home with me. I still come here weekly even though it's out of my way now. This place will not disappoint. I've seen the same family run this truck so it makes me happy to support.

The spot is very easy to find with ample parking. The menu is thought out perfectly and they present the prices for each item according to the meat. The area is spotless and the workers here are so friendly! I love the sticker on the cup as well! It's those little things that make me go back. Called ahead to pick up the carne asada fries and they were ready within 15 min of placing my order. Once I got there, I couldn't help but order an agua de fresa. It was so yummy! Seriously, don't skip out on the drink. Next time I will forsure be trying the horchata. The fries themselves were loaded with toppings! The carne was not particularly my favorite, so I'll be trying the carnita fries on my next visit. The salsas are definitely on the spicier side. I kept adding more and more though because the salsa is that tasty!

The best tasting tacos! Every single time I come, it never disappoints. Flavor is immaculate. The salsas are delicious also! Super friendly owners and fast service. They have some seating and lights outside and sometimes play music.

Some of the best tacos I have had since moving to the area! The asada and pastor had amazing flavors. My favorite is definitely the lengua. Super tender and delicious. I'm always willing to spend a bit more for great lengua! Lots of different meat options so you got variety. They also offer some grilled onions too which goes great with the food. I'm not the biggest fan of cucumbers but it does add some freshness to the meal. Service was perfect and the area has a lot of parking around so it's nice. Definitely check this place out!

It's not always easy finding good plant-based options at traditional spots, but they actually have a nice variety to choose from. Service was friendly and attentive without being overbearing. The restaurant is downtown so the parking isn't great but it's worth it. Overall, it's a solid choice if you're craving Mexican food and still want satisfying plant-based options. I'll definitely be back to try more from the menu.

There's plenty of indoor seating and some outdoor seating as well. Food came relatively quickly as well for all of us, and drinks came out right away. Wait was maybe 5-10 minutes but all the food was freshly made! FOOD: They don't have too big of a menu, but that's not bad. I tried the carne asada, el pastor, and the mushroom tacos + queso tacos. The tacos were a lot bigger than larger tacos, coming at roughly $4 per taco. I would recommend the queso tacos because i LOVE cheese but the regular tacos are good. The quesadillas were very filling and there was a lot to them as well if you want something that'll fill you up more than a taco. SERVICE: Service was good. Everyone who helped us was very nice. PARKING: There is street parking and parking lots around the area for you to walk in--all of which are paid parking. You can use an app for the lots or use coins for the street parking. I've gone here during the day and night and I haven't had any issues with parking at all. INTERIOR: The interior is very simple: warm tones with benches. If you have a big party, you most likely will have to split up between multiple tables. For us, a party of 10, we divided it between 4 and 6, though the 6 was a tight fit. BATHROOM: Clean. Nothing crazy when I went there. I'm pretty sure you can use the bathroom too even if you don't buy anything. LOCATION: This place is in downtown Santa Ana, so there are a lot of shops for you to look around, eat at, or shop at if you go during the day. Very fun to eat tacos here and then go on a walk afterwards :)) TLDR: A very good taco spot to go eat if you want good tacos. They're open till 10pm weekdays and midnight on weekends as well. Decent variety that's fresh and very flavorful

It is next to a gas station. It looks like a pretty popular place during the lunch hour. It's a smaller place inside, but they do have an outdoor patio. We were able to find a small table, not too far from the front counter. Ordering at the front was easy. The staff was friendly and quick. We could see the cook grilling up the meats as we placed our order. There were at least five different salsas to choose from as well as cucumbers and a chili oil at the self-serve salsa bar. I noticed a customer in front of us ordered a kids plate which included two street tacos and rice and beans. That's what I ended up ordering with Carne Asada and chorizo. There were four or five proteins to choose from for the kids plate. I loved the grilled meats with the char flavor. It was delicious! Everything was well seasoned. I wish I would've ordered a third or maybe even a fourth taco because it was that good! I will definitely come back many times and it's going to be on our lunch rotation for sure.

The burrito was solid sized, I was definitely full after eating it. Great seasoned potato wedges inside, tasty egg, and plenty of bacon and sausage. Only thing with the bacon and sausage was that the bacon was actually bacon bits. I'm pretty sure they are pre bagged bacon bits, judging by the extreme salty taste...they overpowered the sausage inside so all I was really getting was bacon bits. There was supposed to be chipotle mayo inside as well, but I don't think mine had it. Or it was also overpowered by the bacon bits. Burrito was grilled on both sides and wrapped up nicely. By the time I got it, it was still super hot. The green and red salsas are also delicious.

It's hard to find a good Taco Tuesday but they do a great job helping the community and keeping the prices $1.50 for basic meats like pollo, asada, and al pastor. I personally love my lengua and this truck has some of the best I've tried! It is a bit pricier but definitely worth it given the taste/quality. A couple things about the condiments--green sauce is spicier than you think, red one is more of a salsa and not that hot. Radishes are unfortunately not very crunchy/juicy at this location so I don't get it as often as I would at other taco spots. If you're ever in a rush, they do phone orders AND DoorDash. I've done all the methods and quality stays up there each time! However, if you do wanna enjoy your tacos right after they're prepared, you can always sit at their tables next to the truck. They have quite a bit of dining space and I've never seen it too crowded to the point of having difficulty finding a spot to sit. In terms of finding the truck, you just need to turn into S Hathaway St. Very close to the train tracks.
