My carne asada taco and pastor taco...both excellent. Deliscious. My daughter liked her chicken taquitos. Live this place.

On our way home from Lake County, the crew was craving breakfast burritos, and Tacos La Barca seemed to be one of the few places offering them, so we stopped in. I ordered the $12.99 chorizo breakfast burrito, added refried beans, and grabbed a canned soda. When the total came out to nearly $20, I was a little shocked. I'm still not quite sure how a burrito, a soda, and tax got that high. That must have been a very expensive Diet Pepsi can. To top it all off, the soda was expired since October 2025 and you could taste it. It tasted like a can of brown carbonated water. The lady at the register was extremely friendly and even brought out complimentary chips and salsa. Service was quick, and our food came out fast. Unfortunately, the food didn't live up to the service. My burrito lacked seasoning and overall flavor. It wasn't terrible, but it was bland and forgettable. The friendly service was the highlight of the visit, but based on the food and price, I wouldn't return. read more

Visited October 3rd. See my receipt as always. First of all the name is also known as "Velazquez Tacos La Barca" not Tacos La Barca in Williams! I came in for an early lunch before I hit the road. I love mexican food and ordered the tacos with carne asada. Although they were street tacos they had plenty of meat and I always enjoy the peppers and onions and radish on the side. No fatty pieces of meat! Very good and it was super wallet friendly!! The complimentary chips and salsa were fresh and the salsa had a hint of lime which was delicious! Tacos la Barca is just off the freeway in a little strip mall. When we drove up about 6:30 PM, the parking lot was mostly empty, but many neon signs in the window announced warmly that they were open. For a moment we hesitated because of the lack of cars, but trusting the reviews we walked in, and we were not disappointed. The tacos were absolutely bomb! Little tortillas slightly fried were so good. We tried both the Carnitas and the Carne Asada. Both were excellent, but the Carne Asada was over the top good. All the toppings, including the salsa were beyond. Looking forward to the next time, we are driving through on the 5! read more

Dry lower end burritos for the whole family. The spot had authentic flavors, but still was not very good. Prices were high for what you get.

Pretty average to boring flavor. Portion size is smaller. Prices are average. Order at the counter, and the food gets brought out to you on a plastic plate. No limes included with anything. Salsa is from a jar. Hot sauce looks like it's been sitting on the table for a long time. Kind of a weird interior that looks like a corner market. My carnitas had a bit of a bad smell to it; I think they just heated up something from the fridge in a pan. read more

Extremely overpriced! Husband went inside or I wouldn't have paid at all and went next door to Subway. $75 for three quesadillas and 8 tacos. Service was horrible. They put all 8 tacos in one container and put all the long strips of quesadillas on top of each other which made the tortilla fall apart. Just horrible! Don't go! Do not come here for good Mexican food Small hole in the wall, expected it to be good but was far from. Payed $45 for one sad burrito and three TINY shrimp tacos and two sodas. Asked for no rice and extra meat (was charged for it) and the burrito was nothing but soupy cheap beans and sour cream.Tacos were TINY with maybe three shrimp cut up into small pieces and a handful of onions no cilantro and a smidge of salsa. Even the tortilla chips with the salsa were bad hard cold and stale. Everything was bland and flavorless and sad just like the restaurant atmosphere. When the server finally asked us how was it and we told them she just shrugged and said "sorry" Better off just going to Taco Bell for a quarter of the price. read more

Overall prices are way to high for the amount of food you receive. The flavor was okay, but the "super burrito" size was less than chipotle.

I have not visited Tacos La Barca in quite a while and boy, was I disappointed. I came for their chicken taco salad. The tortilla that makes the shell was greasy and has shrunk from 12" to 8", the salad itself is HALF what it was, the meat was not hot, nor were the beans or rice, no cheese to speak of, and the price that was $12 (and I thought that was high) is now $19.99!! In addition, their fountain was out of order and a can of soda was $3!! We did get chips and salsa but the chips were crumbs from the bottom of the bag. The salsa was OK. Their prices have apparently gone up so often that they are blacked out on the menus and only posted on the big menu on the wall. There were no other patrons when we arrived just before noon, but service was still slow and three tables inside and two outside needed to be bussed. The staff person propped open the front door and in came the flies! Last time I was here, a patron and an employee were visiting with a dog - ON THE FOOD SERVICE COUNTER. I ordered 3 pork tamales. I thought these were the most flavorless tamales I've ever had. They were less than half the size of the tamales you can get almost anywhere else. In addition to that, they were cold inside. Then, they came served on a styrofoam plate with flimsy plastic utensils. The person who came me, not only was served his meal on a regular plate, he was served before me. If there is a tip jar, as this place does, I always tip in cash. This time I tipped more than 20%. If there had been anyway to take my tip back, I would have done so. This joint has a big extensive menu and they just raised their prices! Their take-out menu still has the old prices! This restaurant, before the ownership changed, had really great food. It had a pleasant ambiance and friendly staff. I will probably never eat here again. I ordered a asada burrito. Came with NO extra condiments like radish, lemon or jalapeño toreado even upon request. The I opened the burrito and there was a grossly amount of oil dripping out of it. Disgusting!! I let the nice attendant, because she was more than less pretty nice. That she needed to have more pride in serving food like that. How can you tell me that all that oil belongs on a plate for your customer to have to eat. Besides having a smile and being nice; more important is the seasoning and quality of the food. As a traveling truck driver, I've had a better burrito for 10 bucks than this $18 burrito this place is serving. My comment is not to bash you but to let you kno what your customers are being presented to them. It would be very hard to try this place again. Came here for lunch with my best friend. It was a small restaurant with handwritten menu signs, several tables and couple TVs. The decor was simple but modern. The ambience of the restaurant was casual with a hint of familiar openness. We ordered a little of everything to try out the menu and not was it good! Inconsistent service experience for ok, quick food. Prices have significantly increased (based on menu posting on Google); see updated menu pics below. Food came out quickly and was edible, although prices are expensive for the portion size. There is an outdoor seating area and a clean restroom. Now comes the kicker - the very next day, our same group stopped to eat at the restaurant and experienced very rude service. First, the waitress told us they stopped serving breakfast burritos (but we had ordered one just yesterday later in the day). When we asked her to check, she wouldn't and said that was the final say. Since now we needed to find something else on the menu, one of our party wanted to use the restroom before ordering - nope, not allowed, she said. (But yesterday the lady didn't make a fuss about it.) We went half a mile across the freeway and found a delicious taqueria where prices were slightly lower and portion sizes were huge. Never going back to Tacos La Barca - two stars for the ok 1st experience and for prompting us to find our go-to taqueria. Came here with my dad. Restaurant was empty, once we got our food I noticed it wasn't hot, like how food is supposed to be when freshly made. We took it to go and when I opened my box I noticed that the crispy tacos are frozen box made, they aren't homemade. They weren't even fully cooked. I ended up getting food poisoning from it.
