I recently moved from Kent Island, MD to Arlington and I've slowly been checking out local food spots to fill the a void I have with some places I miss back home. One such place was a Mexican place as my old fav Mexican place on Kent Island (Señors Chile) had great but extremely greasy birria tacos. So you can imagine my surprise when I stumbled upon this food truck that read "Tacos Los Primos". The spot made me curious. So I went to visit a friend who lives in walking distance from the spot for lunch recently. She ordered the veggie burrito and I ordered (pic below) Quesabirria tacos (no onion). When we got back I was WOW'd by not only how yummy my food was but how it wasn't oozing with grease! The consume that comes with for dipping is just enough for me personally and bursting with flavor. As you'd expect from most food trucks the service is made to order. When you go up to the counter and tell them what you want they make it fresh! The truck is parked on Rhoside Green Park (sandwiched between Courthouse and Rosslyn) so if you live in either neighborhood it's easy to access from walking distance. And since it's near an Arlington green space there's usually some seating nearby you can pop a squat and eat lunch. Given spring time is approaching this seems more doable. Just yesterday I was driving by to visit the same friend and saw a long line for this place! Most people in Arlington know how great this spot is, it is a terribly kept secret! Can't comment much on how long the line was busted as I went during a time when it was windy (but warm) and it was mid day. When I drove by it was pushing dinner time past 7pm. I love the food here! But since I live closer to the storefront location in Lyon Park I usually end up ordering food from there (review on that location is coming soon)! Stopped at this food truck while visiting D.C. The staff were very friendly! We got a pastor quesadilla, a chorizo burrito, and an asada burrito. The burritos very very big, and the tortillas they used were excellent! They came with two types of sauces and were filled with rice, some lettuce, and I believe crema. The quesadilla was good as well, it had four pieces, and came with some veggies, hot sauces, and crema. Definitely worth stopping if you're looking for burritos! read more

This place is so delicious!!! As a SoCal native who really missed Mexican food, I was blown away by how yummy the tacos are here. I am obsessed, this might be my favorite taco spot yet. I recommend the chorizo taco and the lengua (beef tongue). I also liked the mixtos taco (half asada and half chorizo). They do give a big portion of meat per taco. Service is also really quick. This is also a to-go place only so it's pretty casual. They include limes, radish and mini containers of salsa verde and red salsa on the side. read more

Finally stop by the truck to give them a try and glad we did. My steak burrito was decent size and my wife's tacos were very tasty. They provided to bottle of red of green salsa to add to our liking. I have been searching high and low for authentic Mexican tacos like these, ever since I left Florida over 10 years ago. I've lived in many places since then, and tried many a taco. Some were good, some were even great. But none quite satisfied that craving for a good authentic mexican taco like the ones I grew up on. Until now! These are the real deal! I tried the pastor, and mixto (steak and chorizo mixed) all the meats were tender, perfectly spiced, bursting with flavor, and free of gristle! They are cooked to order and came out piping hot. The red and green salsas are fresh, flavorful, and have just a touch of heat to them, the perfect amount of spice to complement the delicious tacos. I could go on and on about how good this place is. I FOUND MY TACOS!! I can't wait to go back and try more of their menu items. MUCHAS GRACIAS, Tacos Los Primos! What my stars mean: 5 is outstanding, memorable, a place to write home about! A must-experience. Someplace I would love to reccomend to tourists, and visit myself again and again. 4 is great, somewhere I'd love to return again and again. Convenient Mexican food truck in between Court House and Rosslyn. I have walked by it many times, but my friends and I stopped by this past Tuesday evening to grab a quick dinner. They have a variety of tacos (asada, lengua, chorizo, pastor, etc.) for about 3-4 per taco (I think depending on the type of meat) as well as burritos, tortas, quesadillas, and drinks. One of my friends have stopped by this food truck pretty often and raved about their tortas, so most of us ended up getting one. In the future, I'd have to come back to try their tacos. ASADA / GRILLED STEAK TORTA - 15 These tortas weren't that big, but it was indeed very filling. The bread was definitely grilled and toasted with butter for that extra flavor. There was plenty of grilled steak which was well-seasoned and the avocado, cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, and mayo topped it off perfectly. The verde salsa was the cherry on top and I finished the whole thing and could use another one, tbh. If you're health conscious, I wouldn't recommend a torta though. This is a cheat meal kind of option. Overall, great stop for a quick dinner in the area. We were very stuffed and happy. read more

The tacos here were amazing! I got the mixtos, lengua and the choripollo tacos. The tacos are packed with flavor and very authentic. They have a green sauce and red sauce also, both of which were great. Service wise, the food came out really quickly and there are 2 tables by the truck for people to sit, and if those are full there are also some benches right near where you can sit. This is a very good taco truck experience in Arlington, VA. The first time I visited was a Sunday evening and surprisingly the truck had a line of customers waiting to be served. To me this was a good indication that prepare good food. The ordering process was simple and where the truck is stationed there are a couple picnic tables off to the side for customers to eat their food on-site. The tacos here are delicious. I've tried their Asada and Pastor tacos, both of which are delicious and had all of the appropriate Mexican flavors you'd expect. I've also tried their quesadillas. On two separate occasions I ordered the chicken quesadilla and both times they were delicious. More importantly the way in which the quesadillas were prepared was consistent both times. What I like about their quesadillas is they just don't load them with melty cheese for the visual effect. It seems they use a Mexican blend cheese and an adequate amount. The flavor is present which I appreciate most. This isn't the normal cheesy quesadilla that is flavorless. Overall a very good experience. Give them a try. read more

I am very fortunate that I live a 5 minute walk away from Tacos Los Primos because not only their tacos are amazing but they also have the most ginormous burritos. You can see the pictures and that the burrito is bigger than my hand. My hand is really big btw. Very tasty Tacos! I was headed to the truck around the corner, but it happened to be closed, in the mood for Tacos I ended up at this truck, and am not mad that I did. I love the simplicity of street tacos. Sometimes the tastiest thing can be simple, and street tacos are the perfect example. The simplicity of them makes the meat the star of the show. I go 1 Pastor, and 2 Lengua (beef tongue) tacos. The onions, cilantro, and sauce went well with, but didn't over power the meat. The menu is simple, and the workers were friendly. The food came out quick, and was good. They have a small table and some seats/ stools available for seating, and they're right next to a grassy park area. What more do you need from a food truck? My bf & I found this food truck on accident one day it's parked by a cute neighborhood and there's lots of seating to eat and chill. The workers are super nice & they're very friendly. Being from the southwest it's been impossible to find a place with authentic Mexican tacos in the area and I've gotta say these guys DELIVERED! The customer service was friendly, the location is convenient, they were quick, and best of all they tasted great! These may be the best tacos I've had in the DMV. Would recommend anyone to stop by and support this local business! I will say however, that I was not a fan of their burritos. Local Mexican truck in Arlington - overall 4/5 stars. Carne and chicken tacos: Both were dry and needed sauce to add flavor. The tacos are pretty minimal, chicken/carne, onions and tortilla. Onions are on the side, as well as hot and verde sauce. If you're on a health kick, these are the tacos for you - you won't feel stuffed after eating these tacos. Carne Burrito: overall good - needs more seasoning, specifically spice. Burrito is $15 dollars, so a little on the pricy side, but adequate size. There is also a foldable table, and a small park right in front of the truck, so can eat outside on a great day! They do take card. read more

Ate here with my girlfriend on the fourth of July. We had 3 fish tacos, 1 beef taco, 1 pork taco, 1 chicken quesadilla, and 1 beef burrito. Initially, the food tasted incredible albeit we waited a long time for it. However it was only about 2 hours later where both of our stomachs began hurting! We both attributed it to those tacos we had. We later brought the chicken quesadilla and beef burrito home to eat later and that also made our stomachs feel funny! Your mileage may vary, but me and my girlfriend had a poor experience last night. The tortilla and toppings (onions and cilantro) complement the meat perfectly. The taste transports me to a special mental place of pure bliss, so service or ambiance was not relevant or noticeable.
