Not only was…read moreit a quaint little establishment, but the service was good, the food better, and just overall a great experience. Don't forget to try the gras hoppers, yes they are on the menu and quite good. The drinks were good, especially the margaritas. Everything comes with a generous portion of aguacate and the frijoles were amazing. The salsas were delicious but unfortunately not spicy, although others might think differently. Gotta try this place if you are staying in the Coyoacán.

I walked to the tranquil downtown Coyoacan area and saw La Casa de los Tacos was open, so porque no? The girls were so nice. And they were open with a few diners inside. It was kind of empty and chill, but the ambiance was festive and exciting due to the music and activities going on in el parque nearby. I was so hungry I wanted to eat everything, so I got the tacos con chapulines (HELLA FIRE) and a side plate of arroz con platanos. I also ordered a beer, but that never came out. Their salsas are hella good. Especially that insane truffle one, who knew! It was SO good. The pan fried platanos were so delicious and the perfect little craving I needed for a sweet treat afterwards. They accept cash and card, and make sure you tip you extranjero/turista!

Among the taco spots that seem popular among tourists, this is my favorite. I love their al pastor tacos and the potatoes that come with any order. The tacos with cheese are extra tasty but not sure it's worth the extra cost. Service is quick and they bring your food to you after ordering at the counter. Inside is usually busy from my experience, with casual ambiance, chairs, and tables. Overall definitely recommend if visiting Mexico City!

This place was recommended to us by both locals and tourists. A local Uber driver actually said it…read morewas his favorite taco place in Mexico City. I agree that it's good, the tacos here are really solid. They're super juicy, the tortillas are fresh and buttery, and they put these crispy onions or garlic on them which is like their signature thing and really elevates each taco. They only do three things here: al pastor, carne asada de res, and chicharron. I really like the way they slice the beef in the carne asada, I'd say that was my favorite thing here but honestly everything was good. We tried the chicharron as a costra (cheese inside the tortilla), and that made the taco a little too big and difficult to eat, still good though. They also do a stellar, cold hibiscus agua fresca. Anywhere else in the world I'd say this is an easy 5/5, but there are so many better taco options in Mexico City. In fact most street vendors and random little shops you walk into will typically give you a more authentic, rich, flavorful taco that isn't too loaded. The tacos here aren't bad by any means, they're just more a gourmet style and it's just a little touristy in there. It's not really necessary to come back here if there are infinite options for better, cheaper tacos steps away. I'm surprised locals recommended this place honestly.
