Like, it was one of those stores that tried to stand out by giving itself a weird name. I was wrong. The store had items like a metal skull that you could use for paper weight for example. By far my favorite item had to be those magnetic book stands. They're book stands that look really cool. Something to need to see for yourself actually. Anyway, if you're looking to give a friend something funny or unique as a gift, then look no further than this place.

One of the best examples I can think of (and one I really want) is the scratch off world map they sell. It's basically a matte black world map with a gold foil overlay. The idea is for you to scratch off the places you've been to, one country at a time. Quite an interesting conversation piece when hung at home, wouldn't you agree? One weakness I see with Quirks is that with all their products, nothing is vital. What happens is that people, including me, just go inside and ooh and aah without buying anything. Their shirts are trendy but still look sophisticated. They rarely have designs that look good today but have the tendency to look weird and baduy after a few months. The quality of the materials that they use is also noteworthy. Their clothes doesn't easily shrink. The colors stay bright and doesn't fade away. I also love how they are not afraid to get the license for very popular film franchises. Late last year, they came out with shirts emdroidered with Star Wars characters. They looked so cool that I ended up buying both the C3PO and the Darth Vader designs. This of course ended with me spending half of Christmas day teaching my nephew how to wield a light saber since he said I am a Jedi master. It's a good thing I did not go for the Marvel themed shirt or my nephew would have had me teaching him how to smash things, on Christmas Day of all days.

The Folded & Hung staff are also a bit more lax and less high strung than other places - which is a good thing, in my opinion, because I hate it when sales people hover over my shoulder. Folded & Hung may not be the best place to get nice clothes, but if you venture in it every once in a while, you're sure to fnd a great find!
