    Birria 4 Tacos Plate

They have the best birria I've had in a long time. And friendly staff; clean dining room.

SOME OF MY FAVORITE TACOS! Especially the lengua tacos!!! Man I could eat 5 of those alone. It's a simple decor and simple set up but the service is quick and the staff is very friendly. My son loved the chicken pupusa and my husband loved the steak pupusa. We're going again tomorrow!

Loved the PUPUSAS. So flavorful. I ordered the loroco. The curtido is great. The tomato sauce is a little watery for my liking but flavor is fine. Will definitely come back for pupusas.

See the Itty bitty amount of Barbacoa drowned in lettuce.

I have to start off saying I absolutely love this place, and I have been going 1-2 times a week, almost every week since they opened. But lately, something has changed. I 100% understand the prices going up, but to put little to zero meat in it, I can't accept. This is the 3rd time in a row where my Torta or Burrito only had a tablespoon of meat. This time, with my torta, it was more like a teaspoon. Please review pictures for proof. I will give this place 1 more try because their food is really good, especially the Barbacoa and Papusas. But not worth $13+, because it is all bread and lettuce!!!

FOOD INSTAGRAM: @northtx.gemz **** WHAT THEY'RE KNOWN FOR: a Salvadoran and Mexican food spot serving pupusas, tacos, burritos, and gorditas (and WAY more). THE VIBE: typical grab and go place. They lowkey have a lunch rush so honestly I would enjoy my meal inside of here next time especially with all the good salsas to choose from! PRICE: ~$14 WOULD I COME BACK? Yes. **** Overall Rating: 9/10 - Ever since one of my old Salvadoran coworkers brought pupusas to work I've been obsessed and looking for a place to have them at. - Tacusa is one of those hidden gems that have locations in Fort Worth, Hurst, & Arlington that I had no idea about! - I will say these pupusas are HUGE and the ones I first had were smaller and able to carry around and eat but this one is filled with cheese and meat to the brim. This is not a light meal at all so be prepared to eat! I will even say that this one plate could feed two people. - The pupusas take longer to cook so be patient with the staff. I swear it's worth the wait! The flavor of the chicken was spicy and flavorful. The loroco pupusa is a traditional plant that is often cooked with cheese in pupusas. It reminded me of cactus! Not really much flavor from the plant but still a good texture. - The salsas are so spicy but so flavorful and good. Rice and beans were packed with underlying flavors. My mouth is watering while I type this. This meal is decadent and filling so be prepared to eat if you try Tacusa out!

I know they deserve this review & I really don't want to write it because people are going to find out about it and the secret will be out. OMG-EEEEE my food was freaking amazing, outstanding and very tasty. It's been awhile since I have indulged in something that's really good - that you could order again in the same day. My dish made me realize I haven't been eating fresh food in a long time lol lol. I ordered the beef bowl with rice, lettuce, avocados and cheese. It was cooked to order and the presentation and portion was perfect. This establishment is very clean and the prices are very reasonable. It's a medium sized place and could hold a group of 10 at one time. The customer service was up to par and my wait time was very minimal. This place comes highly recommended. I'm glad I spotted them driving by and the previous Yelp reviews made me go in. I'm determined to try everything on the menu.

I appreciated it having English & Spanish descriptions. There were two of us, two menus they brought, and only one water. Had to ask for the 2nd one after we realized it really wasn't coming. They bring you chips & salsa. That salsa is good but it is spicy! Proceed with caution & ensure beverage readily available. We got a bean & cheese papusa just to try. It was decent. I actually don't remember if it had cheese i'd order again with different filling. I enjoyed my chicken quesadillas. They were stuffed with meat and the side portion of rice and beans was large and good. The cheese to meat ratio wasn't right for a quesadilla - some ate more like a soft taco than quesadilla) but my arteries are probably in a better place with less cheese. The beans could benefit from a tad of flavor. I was supposed to get pico but believe we may have had a communication issue as my Mom asked for no pico (on hers). Not a biggie though. My Mom enjoyed the nachos. Chips are different than what we're used to. We were both disappointed in the consistency, taste & flavor of the guacamole. It was not good, seemed to come from a tube, near revolting. The prices are a little on the high end. We both brought half our meals home so not so bad when divided out that way. Unfortunately I'm not fluent in spanish so there was a minor language barrier but all the staff were smiling, welcoming, and we did well enough! I would like to go back to try more.

The chips are good and the bean dip and salsa are excellent. Today we split chicken and skirt steak fajitas. They were excellent! The biggest problem with steak fajitas is when the meat is tough or chewy, making it difficult to eat without pulling the meat out of the tortilla. The meat today was delicious and tender. Service was fantastic. Our server, Oscar was fast and attentive enough to make sure we were enjoying the meal, not too intrusive. The atmosphere feels more authentic than many larger chains. There are a lot of tables and it is not quiet, but not really noisy either. It was easy to carry on a quiet conversation. Would highly recommend. I have no idea why their Yelp rating isn't higher.
