With their quote in hand stopped at Kwik Fit, who were a bit more expensive, but matched the price, had the tyre in stock and could fit me in an hour later. Came back and was delighted to be to be told the nail was not in deep enough to cause a puncture and I was good to go! Will definitely be calling on them in the future :)

When I went to collect the car they tried to rip me off with unnecessary work that they claimed NEEDED to be carried out-as it wouldn't pass an MOT. Oh really?! It has and with a reputable garage, so why Kwik Fit, are you trying to charge me £1k for things that aren't damaged/worn or faulty? I can only advise everyone to stay clear and take your car to reputable mechanics, who will charge you for work that needs to be done, rather than charging you simply because their revenue that month is lower than it should be. To add insult to injury...after they serviced my car they managed to break my air filter and my driver's seat. Well done KWIK FIT OUTSTANDING. He charged me £450!! to only have it fixed for one day?!! In the process killed my battery also! Which cost another £80?!! When i went back to him he said theres no warranty on the air-con! There's a leak in the cylinder?!! so what did you charge me £450 for Mo?? Also I had previously had my car serviced with him & found out down the line that he had not refilled my oil after draining it to replace?!! I was driving my car without oil!! Previously to that had i to have my handbrake repaired and turned out he broke my car stereo casing & the sport button on my gear lever had stopped working!! If you're a lady do not use this place! he takes advantage of women and causes more issues for you to keep coming back!! You're a disgrace to the muslim community!

Turning up and seeing taxis waiting for works seemed a good sign and I think it was. The car passed its MOT with a list of recommendations I cant argue with. The owner ran through what I need to do and when and said to do it in pieces as and when I can afford it, zero pressure. Nice guy, seems genuine and honest - wish id used him all along and not Kwik Fit. Very good opening hours, polite and knows his stuff. Today, I took my car in for some basic work (change exhaust and adjust handbrake). I was quoted £130. When I went to pick the car up, the price had risen to £184. I questioned this and the price was reduced to £166 with the manager claiming that the difference was because I had been quoted by the apprentice (I was unaware he was the apprentice). Friendly enough people but I don't like their business practice and won't be going back!

Small, very helpful team, just how I imagine local village garages used to be! Their workshop is well equipped to do all sorts of servicing and repair work at competetive prices and they also do Mot's for petrol and diesel cars. It might sound like I have a vested interest but I'm just a very satisfied customer and judging by the number of other cars there - their carpark is often packed - many others in the loocal area are too!
