While this place is WAY overpriced, I suppose they're allowed to do that because they're the only gas station for miles, but it still kinda sucks. But other than that fact this place is very cool, between the aspen leaf branches, homemade DIY fence, and the unique handles on their coolers, this gas station has a unique feel to it. read more

This little service station basically serves as a tiny grocery for Gilpin County. In addition to gas and the car wash, they sell propane, snacks, some frozen food, beverages, slushies, and a small selection of prepared food and sandwiches. It's not that different from any other service station, but it is the closest thing to a grocery in about 10 miles, which makes it important. Given the small population of Gilpin and the subsequent lack of grocery stores, it is very much necessary. Until Black Hawk figures out how to get an actual grocery store in town, this place will continue to factor highly into the lives of Gilpin residents, particularly those who do not pass through Nederland frequently. read more

Awesome little place. Was doing the peak the peak byway and was gonna need gas soon. Good variety, super helpful clerk. Gave me a recommendation to take CO-46 and go around the casino cities. The little back roads it took me to were great. read more
