My hubby and I stopped in and after doing some browsing around I spotted the Fresh Midnight Galaxy handcrafted snapback hat by Fresh Air Clothing and decided to pick it out for him. He loved the cool design and it looked amazing on him! He also loved the fact that every hat purchase from Fresh Air Clothing works with the non-profit Sugar Pine Foundation to plant a tree for the Save The Trees Project! I would definitely recommend Tahoe Trunk Show that has been in the Cobblestone Shopping Center for 10 years now and was voted the best gift shop in North Tahoe! This small business gets all of their items locally and specialize in handcrafted art, jewelry and more! The staff member was very helpful and sweet and the shop is well organized! Trunk Show is the best shop in Cobblestone Plaza -- which seems to be in constant flux as far as stores are concerned. I love supporting local artists and found a wonderful variety of items here. My Christmas shopping list has been trimmed down so, unfortunately, I was not needing to make many purchases. I did find one special item which will be a great gift -- unless I decide to keep it for myself! I was also very tempted by a couple of lovely necklaces which, alas, were over my budget. Trunk show is my absolutely favourite shop in all of Tahoe. Everything in there is made by a local artist and it's not arts and crafts crap. She is one of the kindest people I've ever met. People I've met in Tahoe keep getting added to that list. I love her art. I love the art she chooses to have in her store, which must be always changing because it's flying off the walls. I think she is an integral part of the artist community in N Lake. She does great networking with local artists. She provides excellent customer service, there was something I requested and she gave me a name of an artist she knew who could do it. The way she displays things in her store is funky and beautiful. I'm enticed to get something first and figure out who to gift it to after. I buy things for myself and those I love here often. The shop itself is a work of art. Everywhere you look you find something unique, creative, and beautiful. It's easy to go in 100 times and each time see something more lovely than the last (and that is a major feat!). I bought a gorgeous pair of earrings as a gift, but am having a difficult time of letting them go to their intended home. The locally made soy candles are divine too!
