Im Gemüseabteil ist fast alles regional und es gibt viele kleine Kooperativen die den Laden direkt beliefern. Ich achte auf Fair gehandelte Produkte und bekomme hier unter anderem die besten Cashews und Schokolade die in Ghana hergestellt ist. Da bleiben statt 2000 Euro für die Tonne Kakao 10.000 Euro fürs fertige Produkt im Land! Außerdem ist das Team frisch und witzig und immer für einen Scherz zu haben.

You'll see local goodies like honey, cheeses, breads & baked goods. There are also flowers, fruits, veggies & food stalls everywhere the eyes looks - colorful, fresh & one of Freiburg's "must-indulge" attractions for sure. We didn't know about this market & had just eaten a huge breakfast at our hotel, so there was no tasty treat indulgence however, we did go crazy at a particular stall selling local honey Blue Cornflower & Rapeseed Flower honeys were ours for the taking. Also tried an Oak Tree honey that was interesting as well & had we had the luggage space, I could have gone totally crazy as she had all kinds of honey products like soaps & candles in addition to outrageously scrumptious raw honey Farmers' stalls are piled high with fresh produce and the cheese stalls were too tempting w/ their local yet diverse selections. Food stalls see tourists & locals alike, lining up to buy meaty, grilled sausages or freshly baked rolls & sweet buns. My best advice to you is come early, come hungry, & bring lots of cash!
