Their menu has been scaled way back from previous yelpers' experiences. We had multiple pizzas, a beer, and wings with Nashville hot sauce. The regular pizzas are ok. The gluten free was was a disaster. There was a $6 upcharge and the crust was tasteless, undercooked, and floppy. Not sure I would return.

Pizza options numerous! No single slices but small/medium/large. Walk up service upon entering-limited seating inside-covered patio out the back door or climb 3 flights of steps to rooftop uncovered patio. Ambiance is laid back-looks like where dudes probably go to unwind! Brewery so not sure of all of flavors. Prices typical of a pizza place. Staff helpful.

Customer service is there with patience and guidance is choosing something to drink and eat. Their wings, their beer and their pizza are too good. Fun to choose some flights or just a pint. A tad bit pricey but nice for a treat here and there. Also unfortunately you do have to pay for parking. A bonus is inside and outside seating

Tailgate in downtown Chattanooga hoed the game with Harry themes! We stopped in during their first-ever Harry Potter-themed event, and they truly brought the magic to life. The atmosphere was fun, creative, and full of great energy. A huge shout-out to Grey, who was incredibly welcoming and knowledgeable. She walked us through everything from beer to drinks. I maybe took a few home. Her knowledge about the area made the experience even better. I have always loved the main TailGate spot in Nashville--it's my go-to brewery after Marble Fox--so it was awesome to see the Chattanooga location living up to that same great vibe and quality. The beer was fantastic, the service was top-notch, and the entire visit was .

We were in town for a concert and looking around for a place to eat and have a beer before it, when we spotted TailGate. We've been to a couple of the Nashville locations, so we had to try this one! My husband got a full pour of beer, while I went with a flight. I get a flight whenever I can. The beers were tasty. For food, we chose the spicy vodka pizza. It was a party in my mouth! So flavorful with a hint of spice. The service was outstanding. So friendly. Looking forward to stopping back in the next time we're in town!

My trivia team came here to play trivia for a change of scenery. My teammates had played here once before, but this was my first time. You place your order at the bar, get a number and find a seat, so I placed my order. I asked for unsweetened iced tea with lemon. They had neither the tea, nor the lemon. What bar has no lemon?? I ended up with water and wings. There was no A/C on the second floor so we ended up playing trivia on the second floor patio in 90° heat, which was not pleasant. The patio is not covered and only has a few sunshades over some of the picnic tables. Sitting at a picnic table for 3 hours also wasn't very comfortable. My friends ordered small pizzas and they smelled delicious. My wings were great. Luckily we had access to a soda machine so we could all refill our own waters frequently. While there was staff around, they weren't there frequently enough on a hot day to fill waters. They were there mostly to clear tables and occasionally check in. The highlight of my night was the cannoli. They were the best I've had since I've been in Chattanooga! A couple of additional details about the place...it is not handicap accessible as far as I can see. There are tons of stairs which does not make it disability friendly. They use plastic utensils and Styrofoam to-go boxes. There are unisex bathrooms, which is nice because you don't have to stand in line. I gave it 3 stars because of the A/C issue and inaccessibility. The food is somewhat pricey, too, though good as far as first impressions go. Get the A/C fixed and earn another star.

Had a blast watching the Bears game on the patio. Lookin forward to better heaters but the drinks were delicious and our new friend, Kaitlin from New Hampshire was the best!!! Whiskey, Rocky and Ginny were thrilled to be out and about!

While I was super sad to see the former tenant of this building leave, Tailgate Brewery is living up to the history of good food in a fun venue. The pizza was absolutely delicious and the wings were some of the best I've had in the city. This is becoming the go to place for my bookclub when we're not having a meeting at someone's house because the space, food, employees are all great. 10/10 would recommend for the food and service.

Stoped in got a pizza and a beer before a concert and had an amazing time! The pizza had a fantastic taste with a hint of spiciness, I loved every bite. All the beers we had tasted amazing, along with a friendly knowledgeable staff. We enjoyed it so much we plan on stopping in on our next trip and you should too!

Luckily their wifi worked perfectly fine so we just put the game on one of our phones. They did have a few sours for me to order and enjoy and then had plenty for Ben to order. They don't do flights per se, but they do half pours. I walked around a little bit to take in the scenery as I did notice that they had food but you do have to go outside order and pick up which is no problem because it's literally right outside the door to their back patio area. The back area was full of families and furry friends. Our servers were attentive to our needs and fun to talk to. You could see that they all enjoyed each other's company as well which I believe is very important in the service industry.

Everyone is super friendly and love on my pup when I bring her in. Sit outside when the weather is nice, otherwise head on indoors to keep warm/cool/dry. We ended up at Pax Breu Ruim twice in one weekend a couple years back and didn't regret it for a second. I loved the draft espresso martini and winter sangria they had and the Paloma tasted like it should - like a fresh Paloma cocktail. We stopped in on a Tuesday night last month, which happened to be 20% off draft cocktails night. I tried the Talisman, which is the N.A. draft cocktail but added gin on the bartender's recommendation for $5 more. After the 20% discount, tip and the "liquor by the drink tax" (is that a Tennessee thing?) two drinks ended up being $15 each. Not bad at all, but I can't imagine how much it would have been without the discount... Even so, the cocktails were super interesting, not just basic options, so I was definitely intrigued and always excited to see what they come up with next. Definitely my go-to dog friendly spot to grab drinks and BYOFood that isn't just a brewery!

The bar itself is pretty cool, offering darts and boardgames, along with various seating options, including a small outside area. They allow dogs, which is nice because I can bring mine to trivia. Walking in , you could see a long bar that you could sit at or just order food at in a designated area and seat yourself around the place. We chose to set up the bar, of course. It kind of ended up being a bad idea because people had no idea about personal boundaries and being in other people's face while they're enjoying their beers and they are standing around ordering food and reaching over you. Ben and I even switch seats, because he is worried about his personal space then I am. Most of the food that was on the menu was barbecue driven but since I had just had poke, I was not hungry. The servers were very friendly when we were ordering and checked in on us often I just wish that they would have kept the line in a more orderly fashion since there was a designated area for ordering specifically.

So, as I was told by the staff, the restaurant portion has been spun off and sold from the brewery itself, so this is my first visit for food, since that has transpired. It is now known as "BUDS & BREWS CHATTANOOGA", part of a larger group out of Nashville, I was told. The bar/brewery looks the same, there is the same helpful staff, but in all honesty, the food just isn't as good. The pulled pork, was okay at best, the fried onion rings, just too greasy, and the chicken wings, just too dry. When first opened NR was the first microbrewery to prepare and offer their own food, and the bbq was stellar, but I cannot make that same statement today. Brews are still good, but if need a good microbrewery in Chattanooga that can offer you good food to go along with that cold one, my recommendation is either Oddstory or Five Wits. I'll continue to come to NR for a beer, as their Moonpie Stout is absolutely one of the best beers you can find in Chattanooga, but like I said if I am hungry too, this will no longer be one of my primary spots to consider.
