It wasn't the stuffy, uncomfortable, and overly formal style of luxury - it was a perfect blend of making me feel spoiled yet also at home. The rooms were large with big windows, a well lit bathroom with great ceiling vent, huge showers with hot water and good pressure. The beds were comfortable and gave me a great night's rest after a day of travel. The city of Vigo is generally walkable and this hotel is near several shops and restaurants so it was a great location. We stayed here one night and then hit the Camino de Santiago the next morning. It was a perfect night's sleep before the start of our pilgrimage!

After walking 17 miles today on the Camino I was exhausted! Our room wouldn't cool down. We called…read moreand asked for maintenance to come up but were told the AC wasn't on (even though the hallway and reception area was nice and cool) so they would switch our room and they'd be right up with the key to the new room. 15 minutes later still no key so husband had to go get the key. It may not sound like much but at this type of hotel you expect more! We've stayed at three NH Collection hotels in other countries and they were perfect. This one, not so much!!

This is a two star hotel so in many ways you get what you pay for. There are also only two hotels…read morein this town. Having said that, the hotel could substantially improve its customer service by doing 3 things: 1. Make sure WiFi is working in the rooms. 2. Make sure the AC is working in all rooms. When it is 87 degrees outside and you are on the third floor with no AC, sleeping is not happening and guest are going to be miserable. 3. With the Camino bag drop being 8 am, and the breakfast not being open till 8 am, the log jam for breakfast is ridiculous. Open breakfast 30 min prior to avoid the long line and no sitting availability for all your guests. I would also add that it would be good to have someone at the front desk reception in the mornings. Service goes a long way.
