First off I'd like to make it known just how excited I was about having the opportunity to do this…read morenewborn session for my newest daughter, as I missed out with my almost two year old because of COVID. Overall, the in-studio session was a dream! My mom and I were beyond impressed with Jennifer. She is obviously experienced in working with children of all ages, and that helped me feel very at ease, as I wasn't sure what all to expect. I had been told to plan for a 2-3 hour session as to not feel rushed, and we were done in less than 1.5 hours which isn't that big of a deal, but it did feel very rushed at the end and we didn't get pictures with one of my selected backgrounds which was a bummer. As we were getting ready to leave and scheduling the viewing session Jennifer told us that she'd be posting our session sneaks on Facebook in the next 4-5 days (which didn't happen). 6 days after our session was our in-person viewing session which I had to attend without my husband as it was a Monday morning. It was nice being able to go over all of the different options and packages in person, but it definitely created a high pressure "buy right this second" environment that I've never experienced with any other photographer before. Her prices also jumped quite a bit from what I had been quoted, though when I confronted her about this she did honor the quoted pricing. When I asked Jennifer if she could send over a watermarked online gallery so that my husband could see the photos and have input on which package we purchased, it felt like a switch flipped and I'd offended Jennifer. She responded "I just want to let you know that I don't hear back from 90% of the clients that ask me to send over online galleries. Do with that information what you will, but I will get that together and sent over but there will be a really noticeable copyright over the images so you might have to schedule a second viewing session that your husband can also attend". I felt this was extremely unprofessional and inappropriate for a number of reasons. 1. I was a brand new client and she lumped me into a negative category because of one very reasonable request. Out of all the professional sessions I have done in my life, I have never not received a watermarked online gallery to look at before selecting the package I'd like to purchase. I've also never been expected to know exactly which images I'd like within a 20 minute timeframe. 2. It's pretty terrible to insinuate that someone who paid the session fee with no issue would not want to purchase photos from said paid session. Sorry but I'm not one to hang watermarked canvas prints around my home. 3. The very harsh copyright over the gallery you sent was not necessary, and very much turned us away from purchasing prints or the photo books from you. Typically the watermarks in online viewing galleries look similar to the ones posted on Sugar Coated Images fb page, but with the watermark placed in less ideal places, which is understandable and makes sense. I asked Jennifer later that same day about the sneak peeks as we had family that had been refreshing her page for days at this point because they were very excited to see them, and she again confirmed that she would be posting them and that she just hadn't finished my images until very late the night before my viewing session which is why they hadn't already been posted. To this day the sneaks have not been posted, which again just feels very unprofessional as you should not tell someone twice that you are going to do something with zero follow through. I am still giving the overall experience three stars just because the actual photo session was so great, and I am very happy with the digital package I purchased. I will not recommend or book another session based off of the rest of my experience though, which is very unfortunate because she is a great photographer!

When my husband and I first got engaged, we began researching all of our vendors. We came across many different local photographers, most of them at an outrageous cost, and some that wouldn't even give us all the photos from our wedding...stating that each photo would be at an additional cost...We were feeling defeated, until we came across Allie. Her photography is what first caught our attention. Her focus to intricate details and creativity were so unlike all other basic photographers in the area. I had always wanted to do a boudoir photo shoot for someone special one day. A wedding gift to my…read morenew husband seemed to be most appropriate. But the question was who would I be comfortable with enough to be that exposed in front of?! I've known Ashely since high school. But even so, was still quite nervous for the whole naked part. Ashely had prepared a fruit plate for snacking and had both a bottle of red and white to help calm my nerves. Before I knew it outfit changes were happening and we were cracking jokes. I was completely comfortable and she made me feel absolutely beautiful. Now that I've had the experience- I know that my boudoir shoot was just as much for myself as it was my husband. She also did our wedding.. Our wedding day was the day we had always imagined, and we will forever be able to look over our photos and feel the love and joy we felt that day. Ashely showed up early with all the girls getting ready at the salon, and continued taking pictures at the farm before, during and after the ceremony and reception. My husband said he loved that Ashely gave us directions during the group photos. He mostly loved that all evening pictures were being taken and we had no idea. Shortly after the speeches, Ashely quickly grabbed Jon and myself and said "I'm so sorry but the lighting is too perfect. We need a dip kiss picture". It is our favorite photo of the evening! They captured every emotion and memory of that day for us. Myself and my family will forever use Ashely for our most precious moments.

We ended up with about…read more3-4,000 pictures, which was nice (many were duplicates from a slightly different angle, which made it a little difficult to go through, but allowed us to choose what we liked best). Everything was hassle-free like Shan T. said. Brooke is very pleasant and easy to work with and has a wonderful personality. We were ready to go in advance and met with her on two occasions to explain what we were looking for, as well as emailed examples of the styles we liked. However, we felt that we received photos that were completely opposite of what we requested. We all talked about doing fun, outside of the box photos, which she said she could and would do. We feel that our photos were boring and regular and did not fit our personalities or what we talked about at all. She missed key moments (like my dad pulling back my veil when giving me away and/or kissing my cheek). Out of the 4,000 photos, we really liked about 20 (many were of inanimate objects). Some of our guests took better pictures that we actually have hanging up in our home. If we were able to do it all over again, we would go with a different photographer, even if it meant we didn't get them as long.

What we loved the most is that you can pay one flat rate for the entire day - getting ready, ceremony, and reception - and then you get all the work on CDs or a flashdrive. We got CDs of all the photos plus duplicate CDs with the same photos in black & white and an additional CD of artistic photos (black & white with the flowers in red, for example). With this option, we own all the photos and can do what we want. We can post them on Facebook, print them at Wal-Mart, email them to our family, etc. You don't have to pay for a photographer, wait 2 months, then pick the photos you want developed, then have to wait for them to only develop those photos - and then you only have a handful of them. This way, you get everything and it is fun and easy! Brooke is great, I cannot say it enough!! A+
