There is a nice walkway around the outside that is wheelchair and stroller accessible. There are a lot of nice shade trees thruout and is a must see whether you are a race fan or not. Lots of history in racing to be read on the plaques surrounding the park. There is ample parking and it is easily accessed. This is not a long stop but if you have time to kill it is really a nice little spot to get out and read up on the nascar legends.

Even buying credits is frustrating; the kiosks only highlight rigid options like $10 for 80 credits instead of displaying a full, transparent price list so families can budget effectively. Management should introduce half-price Wednesdays and a summer season pass to provide better value. The best part is definitely the workers--they are incredibly kind and accommodating to guests with vision loss. However, placing the best prizes, like the big colorful balls, exclusively inside visual claw machines excludes blind students. They waste money on games they can't equitably play. Thanks to the staff's sided help, I was able to get one, but these items should be redeemable via tickets at the counter so everyone has a fair shot. The great staff deserves a venue with a fairer, more accessible pricing model.

Pastures are lush with generally two horses in each, so they are not over grazed. Large stalls, huge outdoor arena with professional dressage arena, round pen and lots of safe unobstructed trails. Family lives on site so horses are monitored 24/7. If you want the best care for your horse this is the place.

We bought the grits and cornmeal that had been freshly done the day before. The restroom was locked when I went (has number pad for the campers ) So we had to ask for it to b unlocked. The restroom was very nice . They have a covered bridge and peaceful trails. The trails unfortunately are not marked very well at all. We were afraid we would get lost so we didn't stay in the woods much. They have a camp ground for RVS and plenty of space . You can bring a tent :) Nice, little side trip w/ a bit of history.

A couple miles down the road I crossed paths with yet another sign for Kymulga, to which I kept driving. But then it started weighing on my mind and I decided to GPS it to see how far away it was. 5 miles...I'm early for my meeting, let's give this a try. Arriving at the park they have very reasonable rates ($3.00) and the place (considering it is the dead of winter) is really quite pretty. Only explored for a few minutes, since I needed to get back on the road, but they have disk golf and hiking along with fishing (license is required). Several picnic benches located around the covered bridge. Would make for a fun spot to go do additional exploring. Will definitely plan a day trip here....plus based on the other Yelp reviews there seems to be some good BBQ in the area.

Madness!…read more It's a 33 mile, paved, super clean, well maintained bike trail that goes from a park in Anniston, through the JSU campus and on to the Alabama/Georgia State line. At that point it connects/turns into the Silver Comet Trail which continues another 60 or so miles into Georgia, (for all you psychos who want to bike 90 miles). Most importantly, it is as flat as can be so anyone can ride forever on it without getting into any serious uphill slopes which while for some may be fun, for others may be grueling. There is nothing grueling about this trail. A kid could do it no problem. It is long, and so if you don't want to do the entire thing you can start at the Eubanks Welcome Center in Piedmont and from there it's about 14 miles to the state line. The reason I say to do this section if you're not going to do the entire trail is that this is where the trail starts to go through a forest and so the scenery is nice, it's shaded in most areas and you won't run into many crossings where you'll see any traffic at all. Just a flat, peaceful, meandering section of trail that crosses over streams and goes past pastures and mountains along the way. The welcome center has clean restrooms, plenty of parking and is in a nice safe area. If you have a bike and you're looking for a nice place to ride I'm not sure it gets much better than this. Pack what you need for the Piedmont to State Line section as you won't encounter much along the way as far as places to stop for any supplies. But that's the point right? You're going into a forest. There isn't supposed to be anything out there besides the birds and butterflies and creeks and streams and trees and all that so definitely bring whatever you might need with you.

The one I stopped at had a small waterfall for about a two mile roundtrip, with the option to go several miles farther. There wasn't any fee to enter (unlike the state park).

Check in was really easy. The office is open later than most camp grounds we've visited…read more They are renovating the park. The camp ground renovations are complete. The hotel is still under construction. We had a pull through full hookup site. Packed gravel and dirt site that was partially separated by trees and plants. Joined to Cheaha Falls and Pulpit Rock. Both were absolutely gorgeous views. It was a great weekend getaway!

DO NOT STAY IN THE CABINS!!…read more Last night my wife and I swept the walls and floors of lady beetles flushing them down the toilet, since they are invasive. Around two we got to sleep. A few times we got woke up by a bite of two but most were gone or so we thought. We woke up to find the windows covered with them. We called again to ask for help and they sent down a housekeeper. After talking to a few employees we found out this has been an ongoing problem and that many people have cut their stay short. As I understand from what was said to me the management here is fully aware and wants to ignore the problem hoping it goes away instead of addressing it. This is a bad look for Alabama. If I travelled all the way here to stay in these lovely cabins and paid what we paid only to be swarmed by Asian Lady Beetles I would not recommend this beautiful park to anyone. It's not the bugs that give this a two. It's the attitude and lack of action by the management that got them that. The only reason the got a two is the cabin and park are beautiful.
