Came in on a Saturday afternoon, when we entered the restaurant, although they were nice, we weren't greeted by the employees behind the desk. We ordered and the food came out fairly quickly. The food here is good, and we would recommend it to others. The vibe I get from the employees is "I just work here" lol. Instead of welcoming their guests. If you're visiting from out of town or out of state, I wouldn't go out of my way to eat here. However, if you're in the area, try it out for yourself! The food was great!

Everything is so tasty. The staff is super nice. Service is efficient. The carnitas burrito is delicious. I did ask for guac as an add on and I'm not sure if he didn't hear me or if he forgot but I will survive and get a receipt next time. The tacos you choose 3. There's a nice selection. There's a nice outdoor seating area. For not great weather there's a couple tables to sit inside. It's casual and more of a to go place but I will definitely be back.

Really friendly service and good food. The carne asada is different than what I'm used to from Los Angeles Mexican food, but it wasn't bad if that makes any sense it's just different. The El Paso was also good but different than what I'm used to from both LA and Yuma Arizona area. Both tacos were good and I'd try again in the future! I wasn't a huge fan of the carnitas but I'm a picky eater but the other 2 tacos and my Coke were perfect for lunch!!!

Food/Drinks: The food here is absolutely delicious. The guacamole and chips are among my favorites fresh, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned. I also really enjoy their bowls, but my top pick has to be the tacos. That said, the biggest drawback is the pricing. Compared to other establishments offering similar quality and items, the prices here are noticeably higher. However, if you don't mind paying a bit more for a truly tasty taco, this place is well worth it. I've also tried their drinks, and they're just as impressive.. refreshing and well-crafted. Location: The restaurant is located in a semi-residential area with plenty of street parking. It's a casual spot with a small indoor space primarily suited for quick pick-ups. During the summer, there's an outdoor seating area that creates a laid-back and comfortable vibe. It's a great choice for a relaxed first date or a casual outing with friends or family. Service: Service is generally quick and efficient. We usually opt for takeout, so interactions are brief but always pleasant and professional.

I went out for tacos on one of the first real spring days we had this year and we were able to sit outside in the nice patio area to enjoy the sunshine and our delicious tacos. I love Tallulah's fish tacos, I usually get the grilled fish. I finally branched out and tried their carnitas, which was also excellent. My partner got carnitas nachos and those were sooooo gooodd! Loved the way they plated the tacos and their pickles radishes are a wonderful touch. The cashier was friendly and in high spirits. Definitely will be back soon :)

I really wanted to love this place. I've been craving good Mexican food, but it's been a blessing & a curse growing up with a plethora of options in CA. Numerous folks told me Tallulah's is the most authentic Mexican food around, so we gave it a go. Overall, it was decent, but unfortunately nothing special. We got the fried fish burrito and chicken burrito. The cilantro crema for the fish burrito was refreshing and added additional flavor, but there was not enough fish - we almost couldn't taste it and thought they forgot to add the fish. For the chicken, it was well-seasoned but not exceptionally juicy or flavorful. Would have liked more options for beans besides just black. The best part of the burritos were likely the tortillas, which tasted homemade. Not sure if I got the wrong items, but I left feeling a little underwhelmed.

service 4/5 ambiance 3.5/5 tacos 3/5 i appreciate the variety of places on Ives St. including this spot though i wouldn't go out of my way to seek it if i wanted tacos. the outdoor seating is nice when it's warm, haven't been by when it's cold but hopefully they put up tents and a heater to retain business. the tacos were okay. i have noticed a few trendy taco spots that don't season the meat enough and rely on the salsa afterwards to be the flavor. this was my experience here too with carne asada and barbacoa tacos. i like tacos the way i grew up eating them in baja, seasoned so well that no salsa is needed just a squirt of lime. price per taco was also a bit steep considering it's a hybrid takeout spot with no real seating or service. nonetheless service was kind.

Maybe at one point, they did have fresh tortillas. But not now. I'm all about eating and supporting local spots, but when it's $34 bucks, it's hard to justify going back. Beans and rice; you pay separately, so I expected it to be good. But they rice was bland. The beans were not warm or flavorful. I'm extremely disappointed.

Really enjoyed Tallulah's Taqueria. They have outdoor seating and the weather was beautiful. I had two fish tacos and and was given a choice of grilled or fried. I chose grilled. It was delicious. I was wondering where was the salsa but I could taste it and there was enough salsa to see it taste good. My husband was disappointed in the breakfast burrito being mostly potato and he could not taste any salsa so it didn't have much flavor.

Yessss! Finally found a spot in New England that serves legit Mexican street tacos the way I got back in LA! Great seating inside and out, friendly service and amazing ,delicious food!

Tallulah's is a long time favorite, could have sworn we left a review saying basically this is our favorite in the near-Boston area, and is of a similar caliber as some of our favorite spots in San Diego. Anyways, we came back today to do a very scientific side-by-side taco tasting and comparison. Tried fried fish, chorizo, al pastor, barbacoa, and carne asada. Overall results were a bit mixed, though fish was at the top, chorizo was full of flavor (although quite potato heavy), and carne asada and barbacoa tended to be rated as needing a little more flavor by one of us (though we both still thought both were delicious. Our specific rankings: His: Chorizo (amazing flavor) + Fried Fish (stellar, nothing left to add) Al Pastor (great flavor a little tougher than I wanted it to be) + Barbacoa (vice versa) Carne Asada Mine: Al Pastor (super flavorful meat plus some nice fatty pieces) + Fried Fish (stellar, nothing left to add) Chorizo (got only potato in my bites, maybe he got most of the meat) + Carne Asada (interesting if moderate flavor) Barbacoa (yummy and good texture but not as flavorful as the others, needs some salt)

They deleted the last one. So now I'll post constantly. Currently still sitting here eating; but it's literally such a poor experience I'm writing this to make sure I don't forget. The food is mid grade quality. Nothing spectacular. It's over priced for the quality. $21 for a taco and nachos. The queso is not liquid queso but shredded queso blanco but the staff doesn't mention that nor does the menu clarify it. So aside from it being lackluster it also took 20 minutes with only 2 people orders in front of us. Biggest issue being; In the picture you can clearly see the large gap on the plate from them putting my side items ON THE PLATE and by proxy lowering the portion of the already very expensive item by 15-20% or more. When I asked the worker and showed her she literally agreed and said no you're right; then asked another guy who literally lied and said it would have came like that regardless. Then changed it to. Oh well I moved it over for the sides. Which wouldn't be possible because it wasn't moveable because the cheese made it all stuck together. Overall bad experience. Not worth the money paid. Definitely wouldn't recommend. I mean come on it's a Friday at 1pm. We were 2 of 8 ppl in the place. But yeah it's cute. Smh

My favorite place in Providence! Food is served quickly. It is always PHENOMENAL! The margs and churros are especially fantastic. Note that the seating is casual / outdoors only. You order at a window and wait for your food to be called. There are ample picnic tables and umbrellas. Also, they are dog friendly!

Is curbside pick up an option?

If you order online or on the app (they give you points), you pick it up at the window outside... not sure if that is considered 'curbside' but it is super easy and convenient!

Is their outdoor seating area open again? Last time I went (a few weeks ago) it was fenced off.

I believe it is reopened :)

Do they have a menu too or is it just chipotle style where you order as you go?

It's a huge menu! Not like Chipotle at all. You can look at the menu on the wall or grab one. It's great!

Do they do taco Tuesday? As in, $1.99 tacos on Tuesday? Not, do they sell taco's? Haha

I've never seen that offered. But even at regular price their tacos are worth every penny!

Are there alcohol beverages here currently? Menu said water juice soda....? But then on here it says full bar. Which is it? And if so what kind? Thank you

They do have alcoholic beverages, I've had their margaritas.

    Is tallulahs byob?

It is not. They recently started selling beer/tequila (and can make a margarita with their agua fresca which is super delicious)!

The menu is small and yet there's always plenty of yummy things to try when I go, even as a picky eater. There are multiple vegetarian and even a vegan option or two. I always have to get the guac when I come here - it's the perfect amount of creaminess without too much onion. Their red salsa is a great slightly chunky - slightly juicy texture and has a bit of a kick. The vegan burrito bowl is my go-to as a vegetarian, and the street corn side as an app is elite! It is a little spicier these days since the recipe was updated from on the cob to off the cob (I much prefer off for ease of eating and sharing!) The Coconut Cartel margarita was creamy and smooth and went down *quick* haha. Others in my party loved the spicy Margarito, although they were out of the main spicy tequila but the servers offered substitute recommendations. I came with a very large work group today, and the servers were so patient and flexible when we asked for modifications from the menu. I even was able to order the queso dip with the chorizo on the side (yummy but very thick cheese dip!), and they were very attentive of my colleague's mushroom allergy and made sure she got dedicated dishes, even when we were all sharing apps. The churro donuts seem to have changed recipe and got mixed reviews - some thought they were dry, another says she Uber Eats just those regularly Sitting outside in the summer on the patio is nice. Tasty, interesting dishes with modern urban twists on Mexican recipes. Truly the only slight downside is that sometimes parking can be tricky in this area, but you can always find free street parking, it may just take you a little bit. Even the funky and creative decor is a selling feature for me. A must-try!

Every bite had great balance and you can tell they really care about the ingredients. One thing that really stood out to me was the seating. The Frida booths in the corner are the most comfortable restaurant seats I've ever sat in in my life. I could have stayed there all night. The atmosphere overall is fantastic. The lighting is mellow, the music is at the perfect level where you can actually talk without shouting, and the bartender was well-stocked and clearly knows what they're doing. Another bonus is the view. Looking out across the street at the park lit up at night is gorgeous and really adds to the vibe of the place. The only downside is parking, which can be a little tricky depending on when you go. But honestly, once you're inside and the food hits the table, it's totally worth it. Our appetizers were gone by the time the drinks arrived. Our server gave us the "the bar is backed up" excuse, which didn't make sense given that one drink was a bottled soda, one fountain soda, a mocktail and a cocktail. Furthermore, several tables were seated around us, placed their drink orders, and had their drinks before our appetizers reached our table (both inside tables as well as those on the patio). I'm hoping the service issue was a lack of training, as it was not an incredibly busy day (surprising given pride was happening ‍). It was also mid afternoon so unaffected by any kind of rush. All in all I would try this place again, but maybe sit at the bar (which is a shame, the outdoor seating is beautiful!)/

The overall experience left a mixed impression - great location, interesting menu, somewhat slow service, issues with the food & timing confusion with the daily specials. Before heading to the restaurant, I checked out the website & the daily special pop-up board said "Join us every day from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM for our $2.00 Street Taco Special." Great! Let's do a couple of tacos along with some drinks. Unfortunately, the waiter said it was only 3-5pm &, even though it was 5:05pm, they wouldn't do it. Okay... so we moved on. Hubby ordered a Modelo Especial & I went with passionfruit house margarita. It was a little too sweet for me so I asked for a little soda water to dilute the passionfruit syrup. We are both huge fans of pozole & you don't see it on a lot of menus. It is a traditional Mexican soup made with hominy, pork & broth - either red or green. We should have asked because we prefer green but it was the red variation. It came with a platter of toppings so you could customize each bite. The broth was nice & spicy. Unfortunately, the pork was more grizzle than meat. Hubby selected the Wet Burrito: a large flour tortilla stuffed with grilled shrimp & chicken, rice & queso dip, then doused in more queso dip with pico de gallo, guacamole & sour cream as sides. It was ginormous but consisted of very little shrimp & chicken. I wasn't super hungry so I ordered the appetizer pork belly chicharron. Good-sized pieces of nicely charred cubes of spicy pork. It came with pico de gallo, guacamole, beans & warm tortillas. It was delicious! As the restaurant is still relatively new, they still need to iron out some of the operational kinks & hopefully will settle into its groove. We will be back (from 3-5pm) to check out the tacos!
