When I went to get my house back in order, there was a huge portion in my living room they did not get, and my bedroom where it was the worst did not look clean. Now that it has been 3 weeks, it doesn't feel like anything was cleaned. My friend had their entire house cleaned by another company and it cost them less than it cost me to have just a small portion of mine done with this company. I hate that I have to give a negative review, and I tried to just let it go, but that is a lot of money for what feels like nothing.

The team hand cleaned every surface, including washing woodwork including base moldings, cabinets and doors, dusted-polished furniture, cleaned everything in bathrooms and kitchen, washed hardwood and limestone floors, vacuumed carpets and upholstered furniture, cleaned lamps and shades...and the list goes on. In addition to the great work, the person who came to do the estimate, Megan, was on time, professional in her walkthrough and evaluation and provided a range of time and cost depending on what was discovered as they cleaned. They were also on time on day of cleaning and completed the work in range of the estimate. And they were great at answering questions in between the time we hired them and the couple of weeks later when the work was scheduled to be done. The house was furnished but vacant when Cleaning by Knight's team did their work, we arranged with the person who recommended them (we'll come back to that) to us to let them in since we were not going to be able to be there. A couple of weeks later when we were back in the house the only way one would know they had been there is that everything was "spit n polish" clean because even the books and accessories on shelves and tabletops had been put back almost exactly in place. How many cleaning services do that? From my experience, not many. They had their work cut out for them too because for two years prior to my dad's death he had been cared for at home full time by caregivers before becoming completely disabled by Alzheimer's and there was significant wear and tear on the home. And my mom had been seriously ill for a couple of years before that and the house had not had a deep clean in a long time. But it was the home my parents had built 30+ years ago and which my mom loved so much and the furnishings and items in it reflected that love and her so we wanted the work to be done carefully. It was. Now coming back to the source of the recommendation, as I said would do at the opening. I often rely on Yelp to help me select service people. This time, given only one other and1 star review, I'm glad I didn't do that for Cleaning by Knight. Because the man who referred them to us is a service person who worked both for my parents and for us in our almost 20 years in Bend and his work is top notch. On the theory that people who do excellent work know others who do excellent work, we asked him for a cleaning specialist for the kind of deep and careful clean we wanted done. He recommended Cleaning by Knight and we are so glad he did. If we still lived in Bend, we moved away about ten years ago, I would hire Cleaning by Knight for twice monthly cleaning at our house.

She is organized and accessible, and she immediately put me at ease. Most importantly, her fees are reasonable and her work, in my opinion, contributed directly to the speedy and successful sale of our home. I recommend her without reservation. Here's the long version: We chose to professionally stage our home when we listed it for sale, and our realtor recommended Leighton. After looking at her website we arranged a complementary walk-through, and she made suggestions regarding which existing items in our home would work well for staging and which should be removed so the home could really be seen by prospective buyers. Our situation complicated her job since we planned to remain in the home while it was marketed. Nevertheless, she worked with us to keep the home functional and comfortable while also showing it off in the best possible light. In the midst of planning the scope of the project, Leighton communicates clearly, listens attentively, and puts everything in writing to avoid miscommunication. When we finished our preparations as agreed, she worked quickly to furnish and arrange our home as promised, adding lovely touches such as live plants and textured linens that brought a warm and inviting aesthetic to the entire home.
