Just Egg omelette w/ vegan sausage, OJ

I was simply passing by TAMO on the way to the bar when I was shocked to see a dedicated vegan section on their breakfast menu. Decided I would check it out the following morning. Service was very quick--seated promptly, and the food basically came out in a couple minutes. And it was really good! I got the Just Egg omelette and added vegan sausage. I was a little thrown off to see the plate served with a ramekin of butter, so I went to ask someone, and before the words could leave my mouth, a server who hadn't even taken my order or served me ran over and confirmed "it's vegan butter!" as if it wasn't the first time they'd been asked this. Very cool they know to be holistic on the options, but it would definitely be worth mentioning on the menu, too. The cinnamony apple butter they served with the toast was excellent, too. Prices were what you might expect for a Boston hotel in the Seaport district (but surprisingly cheap to add the sausage). This review was made in connection with a Toast promotion.

Came for drinks only. Bar is great. Service is good. Located within Seaport Hotel. Nice enough to kill some time

I stopped by on one of the last days of Dine-out Boston for dinner. Tamo is a bit tucked away off to the side of the Seaport Hotel and definitely fits right in, with its casually elegant decor and comfortable ambience. We had reservations for 6:30, and when we arrived the restaurant was decently busy, with just a few empty tables available. For my first course, the clam chowder was really yummy - creamy broth with a generous serving of clams and potatoes (I love potatoes), as well as a nice bacon and chive garnish. My friends ordered the steamed mussels with coconut curry sauce, and they were quite good too! Mussels were fresh and well-cooked, and the coconut curry sauce was actually really flavourful (surprisingly!) and paired well with the mussels. For my main I had the grilled sirloin steak - meat was a bit lacking in tenderness and flavour (very sinewy in parts and somewhat overcooked), and bleu cheese was way too heavy to the point of drowning out the savouriness of the steak itself. The sautéed potatoes on the side were entirely flavourless, which was a disappointment, because as I noted above, I love potatoes. One of my friends ordered the tagliatelle with bolognese sauce, which was definitely better - the pasta was cooked to a good hardness (a bit less al dente than I'd prefer), and the meat sauce was rich and delicious. For our desserts we had the tiramisu and the crème brûlée. Both were quite good - the crème brûlée in particular had a delicious flavour with a good creamy texture - but sweetness was a bit over the top (especially the tiramisu). Overall, a great experience. Service was great - our server was consistently prompt and attentive - and while the food was not perfect, I think for the lower Dine-out Boston price, it was a decent value. I think I'd definitely be open to coming again and trying some of the other yummy options from their menu :)

Drinks are great. Bartenders are awesome but the table service or at least even getting a table is awful! Give yourselves a favor and book in advance because the host is AWFUL. If you don't have a reservation you can't be seated accordingly even though the restaurant is half empty. Hotel guests should get some kind of priority at least. Can't say much about the food since I didn't get a chance to try it!!

    So pretty in here!

Michael was the Best waiter I've had in a long time! We had a big party and he was on it! We weren't rushed, he wasn't flustered by our requests, and he took our family photo! I was nervous about the menu. It's a short one pager for appetizers, entrees, and desserts. So not much to choose from. HOWEVER, whatever you do choose will be delicious!! Our table tried a little bit of everything and no one left hungry or disappointed. This is a beautiful restaurant in the downstairs of a hotel. The seating isn't traditional so if you wanna chill on a couch with friends and cocktails, you can! Highly recommend this place if you're in the Boston area!

Their menu online looked great and we were able to walk in with no reservations early on a Friday night, although they were starting to fill up more as we left. The crab cake was delish & my baby devoured most of it. The salmon salad was tasty but the salmon itself was very salty, salt was literally all I could taste. The lettuce was very crisp and fresh and everything else was good so I didn't feel the need to complain also with the consideration that the chef intended to make the salmon salty to pair with the rest of the dish. The vibe was nice, a bit elevated. My server Michael was great! I would definitely order the crab cake again and try many other items on the menu that all looked superb. Thanks Moxies!

This is when we found Lincoln Tower Tavern. When we arrived, it was a moody atmosphere that we both were drawn to--high ceilings, brick walls, and dark brown accents. Since it was our first visit, we were excited to learn that Tuesdays feature $1 oysters. We ordered half a dozen and tried all three oyster varieties available. Each had a standalone flavor which I liked. It was also plated nicely for a quick photo op. For my drink I ordered the perfect pear; it had different flavors than what I'm used to, but in a good way. My boyfriend chose the Meat Pie and I ordered the Chicken Fettucine Fricassee. The waitress said these dishes would take half an hour to prepare (which it did not), so we ordered a side caesar to start off with because we were starving, it worked out because it was awesome. When the dishes arrived, the meat pie was a huge hit. I even tried the mashed potatoes and they were delicious. As for my dish, it just wasn't for me. I do want to state that it was prepared well and creative, the flavors just did not mesh with my palette well. It really tasted like turkey and gravy to me for some reason. It was a fine dish, just wouldn't order it again. Overall we had a great experience at this tavern as we really like the oysters, the drinks, the salad and my boyfriend did like his meat pie. The ingredients were also super fresh. That being said, I would try it again. They seem to be known for their wood fired pizzas, most tables were ordering them. Unfortunately we weren't craving pizza that night, but next time this is what I would order. Overall Lincoln Tavern has my vote, I just would order another entrée dish. We went up to the hostess stand and were seated right away. Our server came by and was very friendly. However, as the night went on the service became quite slow. It took a lot of time for our food to come out and to get our to-go boxes as well. For a drink, I ordered the PINA-NO-LADA. It is basically a virgin pina colada. Very delicious and they added some nice cherries on top. For the food we shared: -CEVICHE: Great flavor and very fresh octopus. Went well with the tortilla chips it came with. -SHRIMP SCAMPI: The pasta was cooked perfectly as were the shrimp that were big and juicy. However, the sauce was overly acidic. There was way too much lemon in it. I do also wish they had more than just 4 shrimp on top of a $30 bowl of pasta. -BRUSSEL SPROUTS: Was good brussel sprouts. All in all, while the food was pretty good (with some hit or miss elements), it is such an expensive meal especially for the portion and service you are getting.
