    Halibut with Risotto
    Ritchie A.

Celebrated a special occasion tonight at this restaurant for the first time and we're already looking forward to our next visit. Inside, the bar area is so cute. We were seated by a window, but there's also a separate dining room and an outdoor seating area. I even noticed a dog bowl outside, so pets are welcome! We started with the sampler appetizer, and my favorite was the labne, though everything was delicious. Tonight's specials included a salmon carpaccio with arugula, which was delightful, and a halibut with risotto--the risotto was exceptional! We also tried the Mansaf, where the meat was tender and falling off the bone. The service was outstanding and friendly. To make our celebration even more memorable, they surprised us with a special drink and dessert on the house. This thoughtful gesture truly made our night special. Thank you for such a wonderful experience. We will definitely be back and highly recommend this place! We're so glad we chose to celebrate here.

I've been coming here since 2017 when I gave the owner / chef a ride when I was working for Uber. This is a wonderful restaurant, food is always top quality and fresh, great salads and great soups. Restaurant is clean and service is good. Food is very fresh and very good quality. I always have a great time here. I would highly recommend this restaurant to everyone. I love this place. Favorite dishes include the Mansaf (lamb shank) this is a gotta try it is perfect. Other good things include the seared salmon, great. Their sauces are wonderful and their pita is so light and fluffy and yummy fresh and warm out of the oven. Hummus is great too yummy. In summer their arnold palmers are good. My mom likes their wines. Please support local restaurants! This one is great quality and we gotta keep it going!

Finally tried this little hidden gem in the neighborhood, on the outskirts of Cupertino and Saratoga, after seeing it for a while now. Nice experience overall - service was great and food was delicious. The two of us went for date night and ordered the branzino fish (nice flavor but honestly a bit too hard too eat as there were a LOT of bones), and a two skewer platter (one chicken, one beef) - see photos. Also ordered the hummus appetizer with warm pita bread - yum! The only drawback was that we felt pricing was a tad on the high side for the portion size and casual ambiance. We sat indoors even though there was also outdoor seating. We had no alcohol and no dessert and only one non-alcoholic drink, and still spent well over $100. I'm guessing it's probably because of the Saratoga address, even though it's right behind a gas station! However we know pricing has gone up everywhere, thanks to the pandemic. We would like to return and bring the kids, though. The place seemed to be family friendly.

Yum. Got the classic hummus appetizer which came with 2 large fluffy pita, and got the kofta with extra side of beef. Both were delicious. The hummus is creamy, and the portion is large and can definitely be shared. The four of us didn't finish it. The meat is really tender and flavorful. The kufta came with a small portion of rice that seemed undercooked (it was hard), but other than that, everything was good.

I very much like this establishment for a variety of reasons. Although it's located in a strange little area next to the gas station, the vibe of this restaurant is of fine dining with refined decor and service. This was my second time at the restaurant, and each time, service had been friendly and the food has been flavorful and well-made. The first time, I had the moussaka, and I've gotta say that was super flavor packed. It was rich, heavy, balanced, and unique. The second time, I had the chicken skewer, which felt very different as a meal. The roasted vegetables were juicy, the chicken was well-seasoned, and although the plate seemed small, it was decently filling. This restaurant does light and heavy options for food well. The prices here are a little on the high side, and though I would come again, I'd say that the price point is a bit too high for the food. Nevertheless, it's very clear that the food is made with care and plated well.

We stopped in here for lunch and were impressed with the food overall. They are located on Saratoga-Sunnyvale Road at the border of Saratoga & Cupertino. I ordered sides of Baba Ganoush and roasted beets. The Baba Ganoush does not come with pita, so I had to order it separately. Well, the thick and flavorful Baba Ganoush and the warm, thick, and soft pita bread were perhaps the best examples of both that I have ever had! The roasted beets were cut small and made a fine addition. My husband ordered the roasted lamb wrab and it came with a small salad. He enjoyed it very much. I had the red bell pepper gemista, the beef version. It was rather small and had a tomato type sauce with a cheesy topping. I thought it was just okay. The service was good. I definitely will return, although I may stick to the sides and appetizers!

Excellent food and great service. Highly recommend for the usual mediterranean dishes.

    6 Side Sampler

My friends and I were in the mood for some Mediterranean food and saw that this sit down opened somewhat recently with good reviews so wanted to give it a try! It's located on the border of Saratoga and Cupertino, and although it looks like a small place, there are a good amount of tables with the seating area they have in the second half of the restaurant behind their bar. The server was really nice and gave great recommendations for what we should try as well, especially given that we had a mix of vegetarians and non vegetarians too! We got the 6 Side Sampler for the table. We couldn't get enough of the bread, which was apparently imported from Jerusalem! They came out so hot and fresh, being soft on the inside while having a little bit of a crispy exterior. I thought they mentioned the bread was complimentary, but it seemed like they charged us for each round ($5), but it was worth it. You could easily go through 2. My favorites were the hummus, baba ganoush, and the moutabal ruman, all of which were available in the sides section! I was looking forward to the vegetarian Moussaka, but it seems like here they replace the meat with mushrooms which I don't like, so they recommended I go with the vegetarian Bamieh, which was an okra based dish. It tasted pretty good, reminded me of okra dishes in Indian food as the spices were similar yet different. The rice was seasoned nicely and complemented well with the dish! It was definitely an interesting flavor that was worth trying. The food just seemed pricey for what they were, but you could tell it was of high quality. I would definitely recommend this place to try if you are in the area looking for Mediterranean food!

Found this restaurant Yelp and it was a GOOD find. The food is AMAZING and the service beyond great. Ambiance is just a tad lackluster, but I don't go out 'to be seen'; I go for the good food and this place serves up some delicious foods. I can see this as a cute little date night spot, or a lowkey, quiet girls' night. I don't think there is a bar, but they do offer wine; alternatively, corkage is $25 which is very reasonable these days. Chris was our server and not only was he able to help us make some decisions, but he was also very friendly and very attentive. Some of our favs were 6-side sampler dips, branzino and the ribeye steak which I believe was a special that night. I must go back and try the lamb shank. Parking is easy as there is a dedicated standalone lot. Looking forward to another good meal there, and soon!

    Shakshuka

Was talking about shakshuka the other day and remembered the first time I had it, here at Tamra! Had brunch here a while ago, and the experience was excellent, from the wonderful attentive service to the amazing delicious food. Well worth the visit if you're in the area!

Came here with my mom and aunt one afternoon for lunch and dined al fresco. There were a few spots that were open when we arrived and had also called in ahead before we arrived. Staff will help seat you- let them know you're here. One of the spots was in the sun, but luckily they had an umbrella we were provided nice shade. The person who helped seat us and our waitress were both so gracious and terrific. There were a few items off their specials menu- the frittata looked good, but I ordered the shakshuka to share w/ the table. We ordered tapas-style. Side of Falafel, Shakshuka, 6-Side Sampler, and Shawarma Wrap. The Shakshuka dish looked smaller than I had envisioned and came with several toasted baguette slices which was perfect! The sampler was a pretty big size of dips and spreads with soft fluffy slices of pita bread. I wish they had grape leaves here cause they're one of my faves to eat. Will try their couscous, the frittata, or wrap next time! Overall good experience! Parking in front or back of building in a small private lot.

That was one mother of a meal. Tamra Mediterranean Grill is a well-Yelped restaurant in Saratoga that was able to accommodate our large group reservation for Mother's Day brunch. We did end up sitting outside, occupying the entirety of the two-"wall" tent, and barely had enough parking even though seemingly no other nearby businesses were open. We put in our orders quickly, but still had to wait a while for even beverages, then food. I suppose they were super slammed considering the occasion. Other than the slow beverages, the servers seemed to do a solid job. For example, they kept the hot water refills coming (for tea) and accommodated our request for more heaters. I had Taybeh Beer ($6), presented in the bottle and with a glass, as requested. It was a cold pint glass, which doesn't bother me but just feels like a gimmick in general. The beer is a light, relatively sweet lager. I was just happy to try a Palestinian beer for the first time. We tried out a 6 Side Sampler ($18), and all of the sides were a treat atop the freshly warmed pita. Roasted beets of course leaned sweet, but so did the more subtle eggplant-and-pomegranate Moutabal Ruman. Hummus and Baba Ganoush were solid renditions. Matubkha reminded me a lot of what might be used in a Shakshuka, with layers of flavors adding to a not-overly-acidic tomato base. I do wish that the pita portion had been more generous in relation to the sides because you really do need to order extra ($4.00 for a side of pitas) to have enough. My entree of Lamb Moussaka ($26) was one of the first to arrive. It was definitely a success. The eggplant was cooked through, and the ground lamb was deliciously flavored. The bechamel and non-spicy red sauce were also a delight. I was surprised that there seemed to be a tahini component layered in or perhaps built into the bechamel, and that sesame seemed to be a bit overpowering at times. The portion is lunch-appropriate, meaning that I completely wolfed it down in short order as I was hungry. We shared a Branzino ($34) on our side of the table too. It was impressive. The skin had a light char from the grilling while the inside was perfectly moist. The fish was seasoned well enough that the basil-lemon garlic sauce and the relish were not strictly necessary, but those were nice additions nonetheless. Arugula served as the bed and it's always welcome in my book. I enjoyed a smattering of skewers from others' plates too. The Chicken Skewer ($20) had an enjoyable spice rub but felt a bit dry and suffers from being white meat. The Kufta Skewer ($21) was a rich, nicely seasoned beef and lamb blend that ended up being one of my favorite bites of the night. The Lamb Skewer ($24) was a bit too aggressively salted and tended to be tough. As for the sides, the zucchini and tomato were cooked well, while the yellow rice was somewhat forgettable. I did also get a taste of the Shakshuka ($19) which they serve as a brunch special, and it was also delightful, especially accompanied by the garlic pita. I also tried a piece of haloumi from the Haloumi Salad ($17) and loved it. It's a semi-soft cheese which they fry to perfection. I also nibbled on some French Fries ($5) at various points, and while they were generally fried to a proper crisp, I wish that they'd been salted a bit more. At least they helped to provide texture at a multitude of times during my meal. Tamra Mediterranean Grill is a good spot for that type of cuisine. I would recommend it, but not strongly. They really have to be firing on all cylinders to earn 5 stars, and they just had a few too many issues.

Sampler of all the flavors of the Mediterranean
    Irwan A.

Stumbled on this place as it is located near some law offices and based on other yelpers it sounded like it was worth it. Did not dissapoint! Started off with the 6 side sampler and for 2 people it was more than enough; had to order extra pita bread though as the 1st order dissapeared quickly (note: more pita is an extra charge). If you want to try all types of Mediterranean spreads this is definitely a must; and all of them were equally tasty. The entree of Mansaf was plentiful and the super tender lamb shank went well with the extra pita bread that was ordered. Falling off the bone and resting on a plate of freekah (similar to lentils) this was a very hearty dish! Service was excellent and sitting outside almost felt like you were in a small greek town.....until you hear the cars zipping by

We had two tastings, one upon signing the contract and a final one closer to the date where we were able to bring along family and a close friend. They served us full plates of every dish so we even left with plenty of leftovers, which was such a fun bonus for us! Throughout the planning process, they were very easy to communicate with and were highly responsive via email. It was super convenient having them coordinate the table design at their warehouse, including the linens, plateware, and glassware. While the design meeting isn't a "boutique" curated experience, their warehouse has plenty of options to choose from if you already have a general color palette and vibe in mind. On the wedding day, the staff was extremely attentive and brought us hand rolls before cocktail hour even started to ensure we actually got to eat. The live hand roll station was a massive hit with our guests and absolutely delicious. I also appreciated how open they were to our custom cocktails; I provided my own recipe and li hing powder for a pineapple li hing margarita, which they executed perfectly. Cost-wise, this is not a budget vendor and is on the more expensive side. However, the full-service, high-touch planning and day-of experience, from the tastings to the seamless coordination of all design elements, completely justified the price. You truly get what you pay for, and we have no regrets. If food is a top priority for your wedding, we highly recommend Michi's.
