I went to this bakery whenever I was hungry for an early morning breakfast. It was very close to…read morethe flat that I stayed at during my most recent visit to Paris. It's not too far from the Place de la Bastille, and the Gare de Lyon train station.
I am not sure if the staff here speak English, because I only spoke French with the lady behind the counter and she actually understood what I said. I asked if they had any croissants. They said that they did, and I asked for one. I only paid € 0.95 EUR for a croissant, which is very cheap. The croissant had a nice warmness, and had a nice soft chewiness on the inside, and it was not too buttery. It was very fresh as well.
Overall, if you are staying near Gare de Lyon or the Place de la Bastille, and you're looking for some a cheap but freshly baked croissant, this place should be one of many great choices. I don't think it's the best place for a croissant in Paris, but they do a simple good job, and it was very cheap.
