We stayed in an air bnb around the corner and walked here. Restaurant is pleasant and there were diners eating. We picked up butter chicken , chicken makhani, and lamb curry. Large portion of rice. The very pleasant owner scooped ready made curries (it's fine! Food we're hot!) and two veggie curries. I asked for Raita, too. The chicken curries were on the sweeter side. The lamb curry was not sweet and tasted very good. The veggie curries were the shining stars. Maybe we should have gotten all veggie? $11 for the chicken dish and lam was $14. All very tasty and fast. I couldn't even get a pic of the butter chicken as kiddo consumed it like we never feed him. I saw the owner making naan fresh to order and it looked really tasty. read more

This was definitely one of the best finds for eats during my brief time in Luzerne a summer back. This place is such a find in Switzerland for anyone wanting Indian food! Affordable and the taste of food is great. $10 CHF for a thali with two saags and rice and daal in the evening with plenty of food for one person. An extra roti was $5 CHF. They also had amazing mango lassi. There are a few tables to sit at, and water is free of charge. Environment is very comfortable. read more

An abundance of rice to mix portions with. Very good variety and lots of flavors! The Lamb is tender and spicy/flavorful. Watch out for the red salsa-looking sauce they slip on to the rice! The Thalis are more than filling and only 10 franks!! The shabjis were delicious!! I also got the butter chicken....a little too sweet for my liking but I hear it was cooked to favor the locals who don't eat spicy. The vegetarian items had a kick and was awesome though!! Butter Chicken was way too sweet. Place is a decent stop for some cheap CHF curry. I like the somewhat tacky decoration as it makes the place colorful and look bigger. Apparently they don't take card, as the table next to me had trouble paying in card. Items are either 10 or 15 CHF. read more

Very rude owner. They don't accept credit cards. We were asking server/owner to point us to get chicken dish. There were 3-4 types and some of them were covered with lid. He pours a pre-cooked curry over rice and later tells it is lamb. We never uttered word to suggest we would like to go for lamb dish. So we tell him: we asked for chicken curry, (No sorry or word about misunderstanding if at all) he says "now you have to pay " and gives ominous look to suggest beware of consequences if you don't pay.... When did we say we wanted lamb curry. Also it's your duty to tell customer what curry is what as there are no indications on counter. read more

You can't beat 10.00 CHF in Lucerne for a huge metal plate of food. The biggest plate section is white rice then you choose from a limited range of main dishes. It's decidedly not great Indian food but the price is amazing so eat up and no complaints. Our first meal in Lucerne was at a "typical Swiss food" restaurant and the main dish was 35.00 CHF, so we were quite happy to even out the budget with mediocre Indian. Toilet is rather grotty. read more

Awesome place. Home cooked meals for a good price. So expect home cooked food!! But good quality and quantity and fresh! Very good Indian food for a city in Switzerland. The restaurant is probably not well known( I wonder why ) and is tucked in a not so busy street. The portions were good and only for 10 francs which is very reasonably priced compared to all other restaurants in the area. read more

Switzerland has many indian restaurants but most of them are heavy on Pocket. This place serves Thali for CHF 10 with two veg or non veg dishes and a dal plus Rice. Its more than enough for one person. Good place to visit and have indian food. read more

Owned by the same people who run Mirch Marsala just a few doors down, this is more of an Indian take-away restaurant (though you can certainly sit and eat - the decor is really quite interesting). A meal costs 10 CHF, which is a bargain here in Lucerne! I wouldn't say the food is as authentic as its sister store - think Swiss-ified Indian food - but it's not bad at all. read more
