The prices are high, but that's expected in Luzerne. The food is ok. Not very good and not bad. The flavors were there, but didn't taste like authentic Indian food. But filled our cravings in Luzerne. Here is what we got: - Paneer Masala: decent. This was for my son and he enjoyed it. I told them to make it mild for him. - Malai Kofta: this was ok. Too much tomato sauce in it. The traditional dish shouldn't taste this tomato-y. Lacked the authentic taste. - Lachcha Paratha: this was good. Wish it was a bit softer. Overall, not a bad place for some Indian food. Just be prepared to pay a steep price, but that's true for everywhere in Luzerne.

Quantity was adequate for sharing but not generous (standard EU serving size). Workers spoke good English and service was prompt. The place was clean and adequately comfortable. The chicken madras was ordered extra spicy (was listed as a standard spicy dish as a baseline) and came not very spicy (a dried pepper was on top-maybe that was the extra spicy part) and the flavor was just OK (3 stars), the naan bread was good (as good as any I've had but a little more oily than any I've had be 4 stars). The samosas was crispy and tasty but not special-just good (3 stars). The rice was abysmal (1 star). I suspect it was day old and reheated or perhaps just poorly cooked; I mean it was under/uncooked and even for basmati rice was so dry as to be nearly unpalatable which impacts the dish as a whole. The area is pricy and the prices here were consistent with the area (not unfair). I would not go back tho.

So this time ordered 1) Salima Gosht, which was super tender lamb with chickpeas in a creamy cashew nut sauce; 2) Meen Molee, which is king mackerel from the Indian Ocean in a spicy turmeric and coconut milk sauce (the fresh beans were cut to look like chilies, a clever touch) and like the last time, again ordered the Idiappam Biriyani, which are homemade red rice noodles fried with chicken, shrimp and vegetables. My one tip would be to order the bread (wholemeal naan) with the lamb - it was so good I licked the plate clean. We also got condiments, a lovely refreshing Indian salad with tomatoes and onions spiced with a masala mix, and also mango chutney (yummy!). I also got the idlis as a side - so good! The chef later gave us a taste of this Indian white wine, made outside of Bombay and I would also order this next time as it perfectly complimented the food. Finally for dessert got the fresh mango with the homemade coconut ice-cream, just perfectly awesome taste and great way to end the meal. It was a bit pricy (140chf) but just so worth it - this is food that not only fills the belly bug also nourishes the soul.

My biggest qualm is that it isn't really worthy of a single $ here on Yelp. Like most other places in Switzerland, I would put it at 2 $$, and there are other options in Luzern with similar prices that might be more desirable.
