Very good Chinese in Kingston! New place and I hope it stays. This is where you'll find great service and some really good food!

The night Ia attended the Tang Dynasty it was 18°. one problem which was specific to my situation was that the door didnt close fully and the wind kept blowing it open. Other than this tiny issue the food was well prepared and came in appropriate time. Overall my experiance at the Tang Dynasty Resteraunt was enjoyable and i reccomend it for others. -Ollie :) read more

An unexpected gem. Canberra is full of very ordinary Chinese food, in particular on the South side. We dropped in here not expecting much as it was empty, although it was a pretty quiet Sunday on the foreshore. The staff were very friendly and the food would easily be competitive in Sydney Chinatown. Don't waste your time anywhere else on the Southside, and I would even suggest making the trip from the North over going to dine in Dickson. read more

The fish and batter have been flavored each so every bite is tasty! The salad has a nice sweet dressing. Just the right size for eating in one seating. Be aware that with everyone in a large party ordering separately can mean uneven servings. As long as everyone is patient it's been worth the wait! Oh and someone in our party ordered the cheeseburger spring rolls, and they were a hit!

Great guy playing guitar 4:30pm in the courtyard and the outdoor bar guy was fantastic. Then just as I'm about to provide a five star review I went inside to the terrace and ordered garlic bread and a main size of chilli prawns. A simple request of can I have the garlic bread first and the mains ten or so minutes later. At this point I was told by the bar staff in Chifleys that they cannot do that as it's too hard for terrace customers. I saw 4 customers in the terrace and most had left the courtyard, so it was not busy. I ordered and said surely you can accommodate my simple request, only to be served both dishes simultaneously and as such I sent them back. I asked to see the duty manager and he explained the policy which I think is ridiculous especially in a venue that charges $15 for a pint of craft beer. I decided to have dinner as room service and as long as the items came as ordered I'd accept them. Thankfully the garlic bread was great and so were the chilli prawns. The duty manager saved the review from being a 3 but I still believe staff need to be able to be innovative and accommodate reasonable requests from customers. It's not McDonalds it's a restaurant in a competitive precinct.

This gem,…read morewell-frequented by locals - as well as visiting politicians, if you don't mind - is a shining example of this new found affection for Chinese that goes a bit beyond the basics of just chicken and cashew and beef and black bean. You will still find the classics on the back page of its plentiful menu, but the true star dishes are on the front - the Yin Tai Chicken, the crispy fish, the crab entree - my mouth is watering just thinking about it. It's become a family regular and somehow we can always get a table, despite it being a popular restaurant that is still quite intimate. The service is friendly and familiar, and helpfully the restaurant is BYO (there's a bottle shop around the corner).
