Before the show, they hosted a discussion with the director and production team, giving the audience a chance to ask questions and get a behind-the-scenes look at the creative process and how everything comes together (which seems so intense!). Honestly, such a cool way to make ballet more accessible and get people interested in the performing arts. For a suggested donation of $25, you get to meet the crew, ask your burning questions (like, how do they make it look so effortless?), and then watch the full dress rehearsal. Not a bad deal at all. The dancers were absolutely phenomenal, and since Emergence hasn't been performed in Seattle for seven years, it feels like a big moment. Safe to say, it's going to do really well. I think they've got a few more of these dress rehearsals/production team discussions lined up this season for upcoming shows and if you've ever wanted to see world-class ballet without committing to a full-priced ticket, this is 100% the way to do it. Definitely worth checking out!

This is a great way to celebrate the holidays with family, especially for the younger individuals who will no doubt find the experience magical. Parking in the Mercer Street Garage is definitely the way to go since there is a catwalk that brings you into McCaw Hall. This is very helpful when the PNW rain is upon us, since it is covered for the entire walk into the hall. There is a complimentary coat check on the bottom floor and several concessions stands for coffee, tea, sodas, and alcohol as well as snacks and sweets throughout the venue. The ballet and orchestra are always great entertainment and this is definitely an annual outing we enjoy thoroughly.

Here's what stands out to me-- The base membership is really affordable considering the quality of this facility, so you won't feel like you're wasting $$. There is an additional fee for parking garage access but it's affordable compared to the general street parking fees we have to endure in Seattle. Personally, I don't live within walking distance so the garage is a huge plus for me. All of the equipment and machines are regularly cleaned and maintained. Unfortunately, I've noticed that other gyms in the area tend to neglect cleanliness and long term machine function, so I truly appreciate how mindful the staff are of this. The last gym I went to charged more than Henry's, yet always had rusty machines that were falling apart. I also utilize the personal training services and have been working with Danny from the beginning. He's very kind, knowledgeable, accommodating, and always tailors my workout routine to fit what my goals are. If you feel unsure about what to do in the gym because it's been a while since you've joined one or if you're just looking for some guidance, the trainers here are fantastic and the staff will help fit you with the right trainer. Anyway, I can't recommend this place enough. My experience here even helped influence my partner into joining as well, so just join already !!

They'll streamline your fitness journey for you and with you --step by step. More of a get in, work out, get out person? Cool, they've got all the equipment you'll need and it's always well maintained. Want more of a community experience? I've never seen someone walk in and not be greeted by name and spoken to genuinely. Everyone I've encountered at Henry's, both staff and patron has been kind and welcoming. It's difficult to find an affordable spot in a city as good as this one, and it's the first gym in a long time I've had zero complaints about. Great place to get strong!

Super helpful, and you can tell they are choosing to be there. I feel like they are always excited to answer my questions and bursting with energy and enthusiasm about the current production. This last time I went, Theresa helped me find my seats and the last thing she said to me was "you are going to love this, you are so lucky!" It just made me feel so good about the whole experience. They usually have a cocktail and mocktail that are themed after the show, which I think is so cute. This last time I was there, they were offering mini Molly Moons ice creams and chocolate covered oreos from Seatown Sweets. Love that they incorporate local offerings. This is a really special place filled with special people and I love coming here.
