I understand that was my mistake, and I accepted being told not to do it again. However, what happened afterward was completely unnecessary. Instead of simply speaking with me later at the office or sending a text, management chose to chase me down in a vehicle. I was driving around the campground under the speed limit, yet I was accused of speeding because they claimed they had to drive 30 mph to catch me--even though they had to turn around before following me. What made it even more frustrating was that I was told to "lead by example" while the manager herself admitted to driving around 30 mph in a 10 mph campground just to catch up to me. That felt incredibly hypocritical. What bothered me most was the way the situation was handled. I tried to walk away to avoid escalating the confrontation, but the manager continued arguing with me. She even told me to "go get my boyfriend," as if I couldn't speak for myself. I'm a grown woman and didn't appreciate being dismissed like that. Later, after I had calmed down, my boyfriend and I went to the office so I could apologize for raising my voice and explain my side of the situation. Unfortunately, management wasn't interested in having a productive conversation and came across as condescending and unwilling to listen. It also seems like the rules are enforced inconsistently. We have watched plenty of other people roll through that same stop sign without being stopped or chased down. If safety is truly the concern, the rules should apply EQUALLY to everyone instead of selectively enforcing them. Overall, this experience left a VERY bad impression. A simple warning then walking away could have resolved everything, but instead it turned into an unnecessarily confrontational situation. Customer service and professionalism from management were extremely disappointing.

Brought my work group to M&M Archery for a team building event - I emailed them before hand letting…read morethem know how many people we had coming and if there was anything we needed to do outside completing the online waiver. Upon arrival they had already set up the arrows for us to use and put the targets together. We all rented equipment as none of us had shot an arrow before with a bow (gloves also provided) - Renting was $10 per person. The owner of the shop was very helpful and went through a quick lesson on how to hold the bow and arrows and gave sort of a crash course. This was BEYOND helpful and very appreciated. The odd thing was how close together you were next to the person shooting next to you, each person had roughly 1 foot for them to stand sideways and shoot your arrows. We had the freedom to move the targets and move between shooting lanes as we wanted - the freedom given was crazy! We ended up creating our own competition between the group - the area is small though and other people who were actually skilled at archery had come in and we had to try and be respectful of how they were coming in for actual practice. Overall - was a very fun, different, activity and the place was more than accommodating. Would recommend if you are looking for another team building event outside an Escape Room. A walking path along the river includes captions and signage explaining the history of Kentucky. Nonetheless, a flood line well above the path, dated to March of the year I write, was an eye-opener. A few sculptures dot the river as well, and there are a couple of bridges that have pedestrian paths. I could not find anywhere to fill a water bottle, though a few porta-potties were set up. It wasn't a stretch of land that blew me away, but an extended nice calm paved path in an area that was mostly private property seemed worthwhile to me.

You can stay in the lain building (better for groups), but I prefer staying in estate rooms that are adjacent to the hunt club. They offer more privacy and have a beautiful view that I will update later, because it's pitch black outside right now. The staff or family who are the owners will come from their house, after hours, in the pouring rain, to fix whatever needs to be fixed in your room themselves. The hospitality is unrivaled. There's no room service, but breakfast is served in the main building every morning. Best bedding. I try to Stay here at least a few night whenever I'm in town. Third time visitor and I will be back many times.

Quiet Trails was my find of the year!…read more I am hesitant to write a review because putting it on the Yelp map might make it a little less secretive. I only found out about this place through word of mouth from a few friends as there is very little information online. For the locals in Harrison County, Quiet Trails has been a popular hiking spot along the Licking River. This year-round hiking trail loops 1.7 miles down to the river and back up. The loop is actually two different trails that meet up at the same point - so you can choose to go down and up the same path, or go back on the other path. We initially choose what we thought was the more difficult path (Challenger Trail) to get down to the river, and the 'easier' path back up -- but I think it should have been marked the other way around. One path is rather wide and easy to see -- the other (Deep Hollow) is very narrow and goes through some very steep areas. While some areas are clearly the path, some parts were a little bit harder to see and we had to use intuition to figure out which way to go. Yet, it is a stunningly gorgeous hike, especially on the Deep Hollow path. We were told that it would be an easy, short hike. It wasn't easy or short at all with a toddler that wanted to be carried nearly the entire time. Once we got to the river, we had a little bit of a break as he wanted to wade and splash, but we were eager to get out of the heat and back in the car. By the end of the hike, my back was so sore (can you guess who carried the kid most of the time?). We will try to come back when my child is a bit older and more willing to walk himself, or just without him on a day date. If your kids are used to hiking or over the age of five, they will most likely be fine. Also, the GPS will take you here -- but be prepared to be a bit confused as you drive through back roads to find this place. The little gravel pull-off [parking lot] with the gate and a small sign is actually the entrance to the preserve. You'll have to shimmy through the fence to get to the paths. We were so confused if we were even in the right place until we saw a person that was a seasoned hiker in this area. Thank goodness! Oh, and bring a stick to knock down some spider webs. I'm excited to come back here next summer and do more hiking!

I called Nancy at Brannon Stables and she was amazing. She took some time to understand what I was looking for before I made the drive to try out my first lesson. I arrived and and it was a great fit. She was patient, easy going and very good about correcting me (and understanding this was my first time on a horse). I started 4 weeks ago (from 0 experience) and today I can put the (english or western saddle on), start, trot, canter, turn (and most importantly stop). I highly recommend her.
