They were both very well balanced in terms of flavor! The environment of mahalo is conducive to staying a while and working in your computer/reading/etc. My only complaint was that their payment system was down and they didn't really want to accept cash. There's a money transfer app in the Scandinavian countries only available to bank members in those countries, so I was out of luck in terms of paying for my bill for a while until they finally agreed to just let me pay cash.

I'm a little bias - I get a drink from here pretty much daily as it's right next to my work…read more My all time favorite is the Mulled Amaretto - it's a warm banana/cinnamon/almond milk drink! Some of the guys make it perfectly, but sometimes after it sits for a bit (if they use too much banana) it turns into a porridge... so, be safe and ask Jonas to do it for you! All the smoothies are fantastic as well - the Stocks and Stocks is pretty much a lunch replacement - there is so much peanut butter in there- it fills you up! They also make sandwiches - the brisket with crispy onions is too die for!! Try it, Try it, Try it!!

Packed full of berries, banana and peanut butter, it's filled with natural proteins and natural goodness. If you want something a bit more substantial, their tuna sandwich is pretty good :) It get's pretty popular at lunch time so it may take a few mins to get your juice, but it's absolutely worth it. The guys that work there are pretty nice too and their music choice is always great. Definitely recommend.
En smoothie på en regnig dag.
Alltid juicer gjorda på beställning. Cafeer som häller upp tropicana och kallar det färskpressad juice får nog uppgradera.
Back in the day when I was in college I took an International Business class (in the US). Our…read morecapstone assignment was to create an international business plan. And guess what? Back then smoothies barely existed in Sweden, and I had this brilliant idea to open a perfect smoothie shop here. Well, I'm not really a business person, and there are plenty of people who beat me to it. There are now plenty of places to get smoothies in Stockholm. But Squeezed Up is the best! I haven't ever tried food here, and a lot of other reviewers have complained that the sandwiches and wraps aren't good. I honestly can't comment on that - but I think smoothies stand alone. When I want a smoothie, I don't want a smoothie and a sandwich, I just want a smoothie! So they don't NEED to be good at sandwiches, in my opinion. (Though if they are going to have sandwiches then they should taste good!) As far as smoothies go, these are delicious. The prices are decent and I love the funky names and awesome combinations - it's like something straight out of the US. The colours, the acai - mmm, acai - the extra health items you can add...I love it! The service has always been good when I've been there as well. My only complaint might be that they could have even more options - smoothie shops in the US frequently have 30+ combinations! But hey, it is a pretty small shop, and it still fills my smoothie craving here in Stockholm!

I was eating at a nearby vegetarian buffet and heard about a bakery that had many vegan options…read more Naturbageriet Sattva was a complete surprise for me. I walked a long way to find it, and when I finally found it, I was kind of disappointed. It looked like a really boring natural bakery - which the name means basically - natural bakery purity (sattva = purity in sanskrit). The place was very minimal and the baked goods were in one small fridge. They looked really blah (like most Swedish desserts: flat, to the point). Since I walked the whole way there, I still loaded up on almost every vegan dessert anyway. I grabbed a cinnamon roll, cakes and cookies, everything. The lady was very nice. She was surprised we were not Swedish because she said every foreigner comes in with a massive backpack (probably all the vegan travelers on a trek from Happy Cow). She explained how an American Buddhist helped make some of the recipes. We walked out of there, packed the desserts away and didn't even try them until that night. To my surprise - they were AMAZING! They were to die for and I gobbled them up with our friend's parents. Lesson: Don't judge a dessert by it's boring exterior!

It's a small place with a few items of clothing and kitchen wares for sale as well and lots of good vibes to take with you on a walk around Gamla Stan. Located right off of Österlånggatan, it's a great way to re-energize while walking around town. They also have some terrific and unusual energy bars that will keep you going on long walks. Definitely a place to check out on your next stroll through Gamla Stan.

A salad is very small and it feels cheap. The "go-nuts-smoothie is delicious but tge blueberrie acai pudding wasnt a hit. Coudn't feel the tast of blueberries, so that was dissapointing. Very friendly and serviceminded staff though. You can also buy lots of healthy things to bring home. The deco is very scandinavia with white walls. They should spend some time to make it more comfortable if you want to eat there.
