(Jan-Jul, Aug-Dec) So if you are in Dusseldorf for an extended period of time I recommend this dance school, however for someone like me who was looking for drop-in classes (like Pineapple Studios in London) it was not ideal. My first taster class went down fine, however when I returned the following week to try another proficiency level, they were very reluctant and told me that they don't let new people join so far into a new course (even though they weren't working on an extended choreo / building up to a performance).

A cozy 80 seat music room has a great sound system and a bar which serves beer and wine. Upstairs is a 200 seat black box theatre with stage lighting and adjustable seating. The building itself is an old school, but a remodel in recent years has updated lighting, restrooms, and temperature control. You cannot quietly disappear, yet you never feel put on the spot. My teacher Anja kept shifting the focus to what we actually needed that day. One session felt more conversational, another tightened up grammar, another expanded natural expressions. It's not for everyone but for me it felt more real and applyable. The team at the front desk are consistently busy but friendly when they have time for you. Materials were not included which was surprising but I guess it just depends on the school ? There are not a ton of activities but the few they offer with Lena (pub crawls, museum visits, food trips) are low pressure and give you extra speaking time without your teachers lol. I'd say it was quality over quantity as there werent that many but they were fun. Overall it is a mix of professional teaching, a very human atmosphere, and tracked results. ps: be careful about just going to class and not learning, they will not let you advance to the next level if you do not have it.

Auf dem Festival gab es mehrfach am Tag eine kostenpflichtige Mitmach-Kochshow mit verschiedenen Themen (Steak, Thai, Sushi) sowie kostenlose Schleif- und Schneidekurse in Kooperation mit Zwilling.
