Saw reviews on here for this restaurant and thought we'd give it a go. Noticed a strange odor when we first walked in but nothing too strong. One table was occupied so we were seated quickly. Our server was friendly but very hurried, making us feel rushed. Given we had not been, we needed more time than we felt comfortable taking to decide. We ordered the General Tao's Chicken as well as dumplings for an appetizer. The cook was not as hurried as the server and we did wait for longer than one would expect with only two tables in use. The plating made the food look good, but the taste just did not reach the level we had hoped to find. There was not much taste to the sauce on the chicken nor the heat we've become accustomed to when eating General Tso's Chicken. There was no spice at all. The dumplings were the only redeeming factor for this meal. We decided we will stick with the other Asian restaurant in town. Would go back if friends insisted on going, but this is not a place we are inclined to visit on our own. read more

We tried them for the first time. We called it in to go. The food was really good and served hot. Will for sure go again.

This was my first time trying Tao Asian Cuisine. Overall, it was good, but not my favorite. The ginger dressing was a bit watery. I personally prefer it thicker and chunkier with more ginger flavor. The fried rice was a little bland, and the white sauce wasn't quite what I'm used to. That said, the service was fast and friendly, and the restaurant was very clean, which I really appreciated. This is the first excellent restaurant in Ringgold, Georgia. The best sushi I've ever had and my husband's best beef and broccoli dinner.

This unassuming spot in Ringgold doesn't look like much, but I promise you don't want to overlook it. Somehow I've never been to this restaurant which is weird considering I love sushi and this is obviously a really popular spot, but I'm so glad I finally made it here! From the outside there's really nothing special as it's in a strip mall. But don't let that fool you, because they have some of the best sushi around. I ordered the 007 roll (shrimp tempura and cream cheese with spicy crab on top) and my friend ordered a noodle dish. Both were absolutely delicious! We also ordered the tempura appetizer which was nothing overly special but was still good! The service was a tad slow, but the food definitely makes up for it! I started an order and saw there was a $1 'convenience fee'. I called to ask and as soon as I said it she hung up on me. I will never order from this restaurant and hope they go out of business. Be transparent in your pricing and don't hang up the phone on people asking about it. If they had simply added $1 to the price of the item I would have bought it, but dirty underhanded crap gets a 1 star and no order from me. read more

I just moved to town from the West Coast and was looking for a good sushi restaurant nearby. After trying two other places in Chattanooga that were very disappointing I was starting to get discouraged but I wouldn't be able to find good sushi in this area. But I was wrong, I decided to give Tao a try and their sushi is really really good. Reminds me of the good quality West Coast sushi from back home. Their specialty rolls are well packed, generous portions and all the ingredients were very fresh. Their sushi rice was cooked perfectly, well seasoned, not over cooked and gluey and not under cooked and hard. Their rolls stayed together and didn't fall apart. I was impressed and very happy. This restaurant is a treat for Ringgold I love Hibachi and you can get it anywhere.but the Hibachi steak here is different the flavor is so much fresher It is so tender. the trick is to order it medium. it is flavored perfectly. this comes with a side salad and soup. the dressing that comes with Hibachi is Ahmazing!! it's creamy but gingery. so so good. I also get the All day Kabuto box which comes with your choice of meat , California roll and dumplings or spring roll. and the side salad that I love..... they also have Chinese food... we tried the Chow mei fun noodles and they were really good. This restaurant is new and a much needed addition to Ringgold as far as Sushi and teppanyaki fare. If you want a more teriyaki and Chinese style then they have that too. All the food was delicious and the presentation was great. Also to add the soup was a free appetizer. The sushi bar was clean and the chefs were super efficient along with the wait staff. read more

Hidden sushi gem here in North Georgia. Definitely rivals and outperforms some of the larger chain establishments and upscale ones in Chattanooga. I love the Godzilla roll and can barely finish it. Also all rolls are buy one get one half off any time of the day so you can always get a good deal and take some to go. I usually get a salad and egg drop soup which is also fresh and delicious. First time here, the decor is basic but nice. The service was pretty good. Drinks aren't on the menu but the wait staff tells you what they have on hand. No alcohol, which is ok. This was most awful Oriental food I have ever eaten. It was like Hillbilly Stir Fry. There was absolutely nothing Oriental about my Mei Fun dish whatsoever...it was like truck stop slop. I had decided to experiment with another local oriental establishment besides the Chinese restaurant I used and really liked...mistake. I had ordered take out for Pork Mei Fun, and what I got was most tasteless Chinese I've ever eaten. The pork, instead of being marinated and roasted as I've always expected with Pork Mei Fun, was tasteless...like it had been tossed into boiling water...not roasted, but boiled. Furthermore, instead of rice noodles, I believe they used vermicelli pasta...these noodles were thick and yellow opaque. Furthermore, this was a relatively expensive dish...$15 for a quart of bland spaghetti as I saw it. My order was for pick-up, but, there is absolutely no reason to "eat in"." The dining room is a conglomeration of laminate top booths and tables with no deference to an Oriental motif. Nice people...horrible food. read more

I have had food at the restaurant several times and it has always been very good. On our to go order a week ago I did find a hair in my food. I called and reported it to the manager who instantly apologized and offered to replace my meal! We went in to eat tonight and he replaced my meal and even sent out a free appetizer as well! Great sushi. Hibachi is always good. Dumplings are tasty. Always quick. I have no complaints.

Sushi is decent, but not up to the caliber of Toto or Nabe. Teriyaki chicken was good. Service was great.

The food especially the steak is always delicious. Best yum yum sauce we've had. Sushi is fresh too. My only complaints are, they have never seemed friendly whether picking up or staying to eat. Also, the water is not good and Fox News is always on the TV. We usually just get the food to go and it's always worth it. New Asian food in Ringgold. My wife and I were happy to give it a try since we live here. Located where farm to fork used to be. There were more people than I thought would be there since it is newly opened. Expected slow service, but pleasantly surprised by the service and how fast the food came out. The chef delivered it to the table. I had the Singapore lo mein which was very good. Lots of shrimp. My wife had a chicken dish that was good as well. Even the egg rolls tasted home made and not the hard crunchy type that is typical. We will definitely be going back for either dinner or lunch.
