Great selection of microbrews. I had two double IPA's from Sweden. This is heaven in a city where most places only serve San Miguel. It is located in a corner and looks like a garage (even has a garage door which was rolled open) which makes me feel like a down home atmosphere. It is open to the square which is nice for people watching. The bartender was very helpful in helping to select a beer. They have hot food as well. Highly recommend for beer lovers!

The place we return to every time we are in Manila. Safe…read moreplace to have a great night out with family/friends. Heads up - need a sleeved shirt, no tank top or sleeveless shirts allowed. It's a bar atmosphere with a variety live music entertainment. First time here we saw my favorite Filipino band "Aegis", and I heard they play here once a month. I'll be checking the Cowboy Grill website and Facebook page to view their schedule and try to time our future visits with them. The bands, DJ, etc. usually change every hour or so, and like I said earlier the bands vary widely in the music they each play. It can be loud when the bands are playing, but your basically at a concert in a bar, so it's a smaller scale, i.e. The volume is about the level I expect. There's a small space in front of the stage to get your groove on (dance). The food is good, but keep in mind it's at a bar, and your in the Philippines, so they might not have your preferred flavor, sauce, item(s) on/in the order that you would have back home. They serve a variety of drinks ranging from cold beer, liquor, mixed, soda/pop, etc. and I've had the ice every time we've been here and have not had any adverse reactions, i.e. Safe to consume. Two levels for seating, keeping in mind, heat rises so it might get warm on top as the place fills up, which it usually does. Recommend getting there early-ish to get a good /decent seat. It usually gets very busy and may take some time to get your bill, pay, and get your change. You will need to show your receipt to the security guard at the door to leave so they know you aren't running out without paying your bill .. must have had it happen in the past.

The Cowboy Grill is a honky-tonk, with a full-sized stage and two levels of dining / viewing. They are open daily, from 17:00pm to 04:00am. I only went to drink beer and listen to music; but they have a full menu for food, and a full bar. On the night that I visited, they had a cover band; but they also host DJs. (Check their website for the calendar and menu.) On the night of my visit, when I entered, I was assigned a waiter. This individual took my orders that evening. I think they did this to evenly distribute work (and potential tips?). It was fun.

We usually drop by this place once or twice a year, and one visit is always in October. This year,…read morethey still had the festive flags and the usual Oktoberfest exclusive food and beer. I noticed the staff weren't in their themed uniforms anymore. Maybe because it was the weekend? The place still looks the same -- nicely lit, tables and chairs clean and well-kept. I just wish the tables were spaced a bit better, and the TVs were in better spots. What really got me this time was the service. I was in a great mood coming in, but wow... the wait time was rough. It took them more than 15 minutes to serve our drinks -- and we only ordered draft beer and soda! By the time our drinks arrived, our food was almost ready. The food came after about 15 minutes, but they forgot to punch in our Flank Steak order. They said it'd take 10 minutes, but it took longer -- we even had to follow up after 12 minutes. Then when we ordered another round of drinks, it took another 5 minutes for the beer to show up. Totally broke the momentum. What's frustrating is the place was only about 25% full! Can't imagine how slow things get when it's packed. Overall, this visit just wasn't as good as our previous ones. Kind of disappointing, to be honest. Still, I'll probably visit again next October and hope it's back to the usual vibe. Also -- one of the rare times I didn't leave a tip.

Having tried their classic flight of beers, I can honestly say The Brewery has a solid selection, specifically their IPA, which I really enjoy. I'm not a beer expert but I am from San Diego, which is a major beer city in the States so my standards are a bit high. Their appetizers and desserts aren't too shabby as well. I can see why Yelpers have rated this place high. HOWEVER. Why the two stars? Because of their abysmal customer service, ESPECIALLY by a woman I am presuming is the manager. Her demeanor and her all black conservative outfit just screamed "HBIC" or "Head Bitch In Charge." Her name tag read "Mae." Her RBF ("Resting bitch face") is something serious and I am NOT exaggerating. It's even more serious when you have to interact with her. Mae, regardless of if you are or are not the manager, you should learn the value of customer service. Why would I want to go back to an establishment run by or that employs an ice queen as a host? Do what every grown adult does at a job and fake it. It won't kill you to smile and radiate a bit of warmth to patrons. This might sound crazy but it might even influence customers to come back or even better, positive word of mouth. The rest of the servers are... well. One waiter/bartender took my order, served my friend's cocktail and completely forgot about mine. I didn't see him again after so I had to call a waiter to follow up on my drink, after like 20 minutes of waiting. Two stars for the ambiance and solid brews and food. I was about to give it an extra star for the nice 20% on classic beers after 7 p.m. for Visa card holders but Mae and that waiter's idea of customer service didn't warrant the extra star. I might come back but why would I when "Yes Please" is right next door. Yes, it may be a bit pricier, food and drinks are concerned, but I'd gladly pay a little more than to be given a cold shoulder.

I'm not Kapampangan, but if you don't know what sisig is, it's a Kapampangan snack type of meat marinated in lemon juice or vinegar. It's usually eaten by itself, but to try it on top of pizza was a plus. Medium size that was a good snack for 4 people. With a couple snacks & 4 beers, bill was less than 1,000 PHP, not bad! Ambience: The Brewery is connected to The Pool club. When we walked over to the restrooms, you can easily walk out to the pool; however, both have different DJ's. BUT! I loved both DJ's. Now this is where I really enjoyed my night. The DJ at the Brewery was hands down playing all the hip hop & R&B music. My cousins knew what kind of music I listen to & they knew to stay on this side of the club longer. Enjoyed the music & food. Service was an average. How about things you do not see on a normal restaurant/club vibe basis? One of the workers was sweeping with the walis (broom) next to us doing their job by keeping the restaurant clean. I was amused for a sec & that wasn't the alcohol laughing. Walk out the side & dance the night away at the Pool club. They have couches to lounge on with bottle service, but a full dance floor by the DJ up front. Be amazed with their all around sound system. I recommend the Pool & the Brewery at the Palace!

Seventy-seven kinds of beer. Fifty-one brands…read more Three local brands of beer. If you're a beer lover and looking for an alternative place to hang out, Brew Haus should be on the top of your list. Get this, they open at 7am and close at 2am. Now, I won't judge you if you ever decide to start your day with a beer with your breakfast. I know I would, too. Local beers start at P70. While imported beers start at P150. The most expensive among their selection are the Hertog beers at P1000 a pop. They have beer on tap, too, with the likes of San Miguel Light, Hoegaarden, Stella Artois, Becks and Paulaner. Maaaan, typing this out is just making me excited to have a bottle of Leffe Brune (P190). I'm hoping that sometime in the future, they'll add Indio Pale Ales to their beer selection. The local Katipunan IPA craft ales are really good and would be the perfect partner for their Grilled Cheese Burger (P195) and Ghost Wings (P395). For the cocktail loving folk, they have tequila, liqueurs, vodka, rum, gin and wine. It's not as extensive as their beer selection though. Maybe you're the "liquor before beer you're in the clear" type of person and that's a-okay. As for me, I just drink whatever whenever (and eat whatever whenever).
