Just paid $33 for a Burger and 2 Beers. The burger was overcooked & the fries were shoestring fries. I've had better at McDonald's. We ordered a special birthday dinner to go on July 21 and when we got home our white pizza entree was missing. Today the owner denied our request to pick up 2 white pizzas as compensation. We are regular customers. Love this restaurant, BUT on July 2, 2022, it was quite a bit off. My grandson ordered the chicken Parmesan and it was difficult to cut the chicken even with a steak knife given to him by another diner who ordered steak. I had the chicken Florentine and the chicken was like leather. Our server did not seem to care. We asked for a manager and none ever came. The steak dinner was specifically ordered not to include bearnaise sauce and out it comes from the kitchen with it on the steak. "Sorry," was the server's response. No offer of making it right. I was really excited to try this place out. The server was really nice and polite. I got chicken fettuccine alfredo I wasn't really impressed with the chicken it was chicken breast honestly I would of rather went to Olive Garden. But husband got the penne vodka sauce with shrimp and that was really good I would of much rather had his plate. The area is really open so it can be loud if your not use to that type of dinning. Mr. Tapia makes a seriously very good pizza pie. The pie's crust is crispy yet chewy, but not spongy. It is NOT creasy. The cheese/tomato pairing very good. The anchovies...absolutely the best. I went today for the first time. My dad/stepmom have been twice and had good things to say, so I went with them. I had the stuffed shells, which came with garlic bread. It was delicious - the ricotta was flavorful and creamy, and the saucy was excellent. The portion was on the small side, though, especially for $14. My stepmom had the penne in vodka sauce with shrimp, and my dad had the lasagna. He says it's the best he's ever had! We also had side salads - $3 each. The waitress was kind and very attentive. The space is nice but open, so it gets a little loud. It was busy, but not packed. It seems like a good place for happy hour. Overall, the food is great, if a little overpriced for the portion size. Just want to start this by saying if I could give zero stars I would. I had made a reservation 2 weeks ago for Mother's Day with my family. When we got to the restaurant, the hostess told us our reservation had been cancelled and they could not accommodate us at all. No one in our party called and cancelled our reservation so whoever was in charge had cancelled ours by mistake. The hostess was very persistent and insinuated that it was our fault and that we cancelled. Why would we show up if we cancelled? The only possible explanation could be someone else called and they crossed out our name my mistake yet they took no responsibility. Food is very good although a little pricey but I guess that's inflation. Service was fine. This review is directed towards the "happy hour". Don't advertise happy hour 3-7 and not have a menu of what is included! It's annoying for the customer and the waitress to have to keep asking/checking if this drink is included or this drink. Speaking of drinks it took me attempting to order 3 different ones and a glass of wine before I finally found one included in "happy hour" and in stock. All I can think is I must have been there a day before tier liquor delivery. Once I received the bill the "happy hour" drinks were only $1 less than the regular price. I guess that's inflation too. I was also told there were no food or appetizer specials for "happy hour" so I'm not sure why this restaurant is even bothering. They should take the sign down and skip it if they aren't going to do it right because there are so many other options for great "happy hours" where you don't have to "guess" what's included and wonder what the charge is. While driving through Middletown, we came across Tapia's and decided to drop in for lunch, as it was new to us. We ordered two of the specials and then split a salad. The quality of the food was tops and each dish was delicious. The portions were so large, that we took home more than half of each entry and will have them for another meal this weekend. The service was excellent, as well. They do need to improve their parking situation. There was a heavy downpour all day and nearby parking was scarce. There was plenty of close-by parking, but it was reserved for pick-ups, which was disappointing. Will go back to try their pizza pies. read more

We tried Tapia's for the first time today. I had high hopes because of reviews. The server told us right off the bat, tonight was her first night. We knew what that meant. Albeit the service not being the greatest, we hoped the food would make up for it. We ordered the classic pizza, a Cali-Cobb salad, and the penne vodka with chicken. From kids menu the butter pasta. The pizza was soggy, like no crunch whatsoever. The salad never made it and the penne vodka was totally bland. Had it not been because of the grated Parmesan cheese I would've returned it to kitchen. The kids butter pasta tasted like boiled pasta with no salt and nothing else. There was hardly any butter in the dish. Again we fixed it a bit with grated Parmesan cheese from the table. For dessert the only options available were cannoli and strawberry shortcake. We chose the strawberry shortcake and it was really good, except that the fruit jam in between layers was still frozen. So we had nice moist cake and frozen filling. Overall, wasn't too terribly bad we would come back and give it another try. read more

We went to Tapias on Wednesday evening for the first time and loved it! We got the white pizza and the carnivores pizza -- both were delicious. I am a fan of thin crispy crust so was very happy with it. The pizzas were just the right size too. Our friends had the mussels for an appetizer and said they were excellent -- very nice presentation too. One of the specials was salmon with a crab cake on top and she said it was awesome. Cocktails were tasty too. Both of the owner brothers stopped by our table to say hello and see if we were happy with our meals. We will definitely be back. read more

I cannot believe this place got such a high rating review! I ate there late on Monday, May 22 around 7:30 pm. I was hoping they might have a few low carb choices on the menu, but only chicken and lasagna. I know lasagna has pasta, but according to my carb counter there are usually only a few layer with lots of cheese and meat sauce in between (a standard serving would have about 15 g carbs). Imagine my surprise when the lasagna came out with about 12 noodles stacked together with very little sauce or cheese in between. I ate around the edges, but the meat sauce tasted like it was canned. I took leftovers home hoping the refrigeration would improve the flavor, but nooooo. Threw it all out. Caesar salad was too expensive...I had also had better. Bloody Mary was OK, but I should've asked them to leave the Old Bay seasoning off the rim...it was too much. Also drink was $10. I could name at least a dozen nearby restaurants where there were better BMs for $8 or $8.50. I won't go there again. read more

Tuesday night I was driving to Frederick from Hagerstown. I saw a restaurant on my way to Frederick named Tapia's on Main. I ordered a Crabcake sandwich and my son ordered the chicken Florentine. The food was wonderful and the service was amazing! I'm not certain but I'm think our server was named Carmella. We sat outside on the patio and the weather was beautiful. Would highly recommend going to Tapia's on Main and sitting out on the patio and ordering a crabcake sandwich! read more

Tapia's on Main does an amazing Ceaser salad. I always add salmon, which, is cooked perfectly. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for casual dining in the indoor setting or even a romantic setting outside by the fire with string lighting and light music by the outdoor fire pit in the fall. I have been to this restaurant multiple times. I enjoy their food and cocktails and I have always found the staff to be friendly.

We've driven by this new restaurant (and bar) on numerous occasions traveling from Baltimore to Boonsboro, and finally planned accordingly to give it a try. What a delight ! Food and service (Andi, or Andrea) were superb ! I had the lasagna which tasted like authentic homemade Italian . My husband had the Penne Arrabiata (one of his favorite Italian dishes). Both were served quickly and piping hot and didn't disappoint. Delicious garlic bread, nothing over the top, but good. On a side note, the napkins feel like buttery velvet . . . a small detail, but noteworthy. Didn't have room for dessert, but have no doubt it would be delicious too. Took my wife, two kids and their two friends to Tapia's on Main in Middletown MD. The place is new and very clean. We were seated quickly (Sunday around 5 PM). Waitress took our order and everything came out correct. We mostly ordered pizza except a crab cake and Panini Sandwich. Crab cake was great, and the pizza was good. I would have liked more cheese and Canadian Bacon on my $12 10 inch Hawaiian Pizza. Besides that, the food was fine. We ordered Sweet tea, Caesar Pizza, Carnivore Pizza, Crab Cake Sandwich, Hawaiian Pizza, Carnivore pizza crust made out of Gluten free crust (extra $3), and a Turkey Club Panini. Total = 87.86 including tax. I think this place seems a little pricey to me. Brick oven pizza is special, not 12-13 dollars special for a (small 10 inch) pizza. I feel like if they could make the pizza's price point closer to $8 - 9 dollars I would have given them an additional star, maybe a star and a half. All and all, a nice place to eat if you can see past their slightly pricey menu. read more
