OK, It's a hole in the wall. Like 3 or 4 tables and 2 of them are 2 seat tables. The people there (customers) are very friendly and cross talking between tables is frequent. The person taking the orders was incredibly friendly and was equally conversational in Spanish and English. There are 5 take-out orders to every eat in order so that's basically what you should probably plan on (and it's what I did). Food was excellent, I had the chicken enchiladas, and the chicken was a different texture than I expected (I was expecting shredded and got almost balls of chicken) but it was excellent flavor and just melted in my mouth. I asked for hot and spicy and the person taking the orders said that his food wasn't made spicy, but he'd take care of me, and he gave me a green sauce to spread on them that was in fact very spicy. I'm more than satisfied and since it's less than 5 miles from my work and the food was ready in less than 10 minutes, it's going to be on my frequent flier menu. read more

A hole in the wall for all of your taqueria needs. It is a bit hard to find but it's at the end of the plaza. A few tables inside to dine but most people do take out, including myself. I can finally brush up on my Spanish with the menu, so I'd advise to take a look before hand if you need visuals. I am a big fan of lengua (tongue) so I had to grab a taco plate and tried their beef fajitas. So filling and so delicious! The tacos come with onions and cilantro and two sauces along with beans and rice. Make sure to grab some guacamole with your meal! They are super friendly and nice, I always come here for my taco cravings. Highly recommend! read more

At the end of a shopping center...doesn't look like much from outside..... Told the man to make me whatever he thought. I don't know what exactly I am eating. Delicious! And he was SO pleasant and quick. I wish I was closer...although then I might go practically everyday. Prices were low considering how prices are now....very good value. Not sure if I want to give this one away but this is probably my favorite taqueria in the area by far. Really fresh and delicious food at a good price point too. Loved the huarache, tacos, burritos, enchiladas de chicharrón, breakfast burritos, and more. Space inside is a bit small so keep that in mind. Great taqueria, seriously. Some of the best authentic street tacos I've had since moving to Dallas. Great fajita/asada, al pastor, and carnitas. Menudo is excellent. The establishment is a clean, no-frills place with seating for about 16-20 people. There is a steady line of people ordering take out but the service is excellent and it moves fast. The only wish would be if the salsa was hotter. Otherwise, 5-stars for sure! read more

Haven't been able to find a good non Tex-Mex style burrito since moving to the Dallas area. I was passing by and wanted to give this place a try since I live in the area. While they didn't have much in the way of choices on the menu for the type of burrito I was looking for, they custom made me a Carne Asada, fresh potato (not French fries), pico de gallo and shredded cheese burrito and it came with red sauce on the side. In parts of New Mexico, Arizona and Southern California this is called an "Arizona" burrito. The burrito was excellent and while not quite the same as what I was used to, it was the best burrito I have had in this area so far. I will definitely be returning and recommend eating here when you are craving quality Mexican food. read more

I used to live and work in Los Angeles. I am very familiar with East LA tacos, now called Street Tacos. I swing by Taqueria La Esperanza at least once a week for my EastLos fix. They know how to make "authentic" tacos. I always go with the "rojo" sauce, their verde has no heat. read more

The Hubby found this place on Yelp after doing a search for "Tacos" in the 75028 zip code. We are very happy that he did because it was wonderful. We arrived at around 7 pm on a Monday night and while the lobby was empty they definitely had people coming in to order or going through their to go station outside. The restaurant is very small and only has a few places to sit down to eat inside. We assumed that the gentleman who took our order is the owner. He was amazing and very kind to us. He made us feel very welcome and almost like we were visiting his home instead of a restaurant which is a great personal touch. We always like to support local family businesses and this place is definitely a place to visit. They offer traditional taqueria food such as goat meat and cow tongue which in our opinion when we see those two things on the menu it's a sign that we are about to get some really good Mexican food. We were very surprised at how quickly our order was ready. It was hot and fresh and simply amazing. I had the "Three Taco Plate" that came with amazing homemade corn tortillas, beef (you can order whatever type of meat you want), refried beans and Mexican Rice. The fajita steak was amazing. It was very juicy, tendered and seasoned just right. I also ordered my favorite Pork Tamales. I ordered 2 to try before ordering a dozen of them to go for later. I admit I am a Tamale Snob and I'm happy to say this place passed my test. The entire place was well kept and very clean. It's easy to see that great pride is taken by those who run and own this wonderful family owned restaurant. they do offer breakfast, lunch and dinner. The only thing you should know is they do NOT have a public restroom so plan accordingly. :) There is construction in this area which I normally try to avoid but this place is worth dealing with it. We will without a doubt be back soon to enjoy this rare gem so without a doubt we have zero problem recommending this place for anyone who enjoys quick Mexican taqueria food. read more

Excellent taco place. Don't expect much from the looks but all the taste is definitely there. Fantastic authentic tacos. Good quality meats and delicious tortillas. The gentleman behind the desk is extremely nice and knowledgeable. Not many tables available, so big families may be better off on a to go basis. Highly recommend this place. read more

An early lunch stop in as its a tiny dining area. The phone never stopped ringing for to go orders, finally got our order placed at the window. We had pollo, carnitas, cabrito, pastor half on corn, half on flour. Love the finely topped onion, cilanto and lime on each, thats what street tacos are supposed to have. Both green and red sauces in the bottles are good, red has a bite, but not overpowering. Previous rating was 4 stars, thought about 3, really wish I could do 3.5, because all of the meats were very dry this time, unclear if due to noon rush in the kitchen or just an off day. But the number of folks coming thru in the short amount of time we were there was big, so they must be doing something right, just dont expect fancy furnishings of decor, its all about the food. read more

I have eaten here several times now, both tacos and huaraches, carnitas and beef, and it's amazing!! They are so friendly and food is prepared fresh when you order it. Rice and beans are better than the other taco places near here. Horchata is delicious, I always get a large!! The red salsa is but the green is a little more tolerable for this gringa. I am from San Antonio and this is the closest I've found in the DFW area to authentic street tacos and sopes/huaraches. read more

I had a craving for some REAL tacos and after a quick yelp search this came up. All of the great reviews made it an easy sell. Based off other reviews my husband and I both had the fajita tacos and they were awesome! The green salsa and chips were also very good. With the tacos they included a small thing of green and a red salsa. Both had great flavor, but w the cilantro and onion you could eat them without and they're still good. They also throw a couple piece of lime in, yum! Rice and beans come with the three taco plate. The location is very small and only has three tables. Drinks are canned/bottled. It is clean and well kept. An adorable old guy took our order and it was out quickly. No bathrooms, like others have said. Sometimes you worry about these kind of places being in sketchy areas, and this isn't the case. It's just off the highway on 407. And I would feel totally comfortable going to pick up food by myself. These were good fajita tacos! I'm used to grilled onions with cilantro and they only had fresh onions which was disappointing. The rice and beans are pretty good as well. The red hot sauce was supppper hot..the green salsa not so much. What I was blown away with was the melon agua! The guacamole was really good!! It was so fresh. Just another taco joint. Four tables in a small spot with a walk up counter to order.i ordered three tacos. Tortillas are boring plain tasting commercial quality. Taqueria La Esperanza is the bomb-punto-com. I've been now four or five times, I prefer their tacos al carbon, four of them will fill my big macho stomach. I'll pass on their chips-and-salsa (not complimentary), my wife is a repeat buyer of their torta (sandwich you gringos), I once also ordered the goat soup which was refreshing but not quite my thing. Friendly, attentive, and fast service. Taqueria La Esperanza is my favorite taqueria, unequivocally, in that entire ~15-mile radius. read more

WOW, I am honestly sad I did not know about it sooner because this might be my new favorite Mexican spot. There is a huge rotating sphere of pastor pork cooking in the back, the tortillas taste homemade, and the prices cannot be beat. My husband had the three taco combo with rice and beans ($12). The beans were piping hot and incredibly good. His meat choices were pastor, birria, and chicken, and the birria might have been the winner. I ordered a gordita with pastor for only four dollars. It was stuffed with meat, beans, cheese, salsa, and all the good things. The outside was like a fried, crispy corn pita situation that I am still thinking about. I will be hard pressed to order anything else because the gordita was that good, but I already know everything here is going to be delicious. It looks like they recently added sopes too, which I adore, so we will definitely be back. Oh and bathroom was nice and clean!
