Hold up... four tacos for $11? Sign me up neeeeoooooow. This taco spot is the definition of a hidden gem. It's located in a small complex on Passaic's bustling Main Street. It shares a parking lot with other businesses, but it's EXTREMELY tight. You'll save yourself a headache if you park on the nearby streets. If you can't speak Spanish, no te preocupes ;) They have employees that speak English. The menu is as straightforward as it gets. They only sell tacos here with 8 different meat options. You can choose any four for $11. You then have the option of garnishing it with onions, cilantro, and radish. They give you fresh limes, hot sauce, and green sauce on the side. I ordered: chicken, beef, carnitas (fried pork), al pastor (marinated pork). The tacos aren't gigantic, but they give you generous portions of meat. When I say generous, I mean in the "meat is spilling off of the tortilla" kind of generous. Everything is freshly made and prepared to order. They continuously cook the meat throughout the day so you won't have to worry about dryness or staleness. No oils or grease, just tender, juicy meat! The tortillas are warm and fluffy! The winner here is definitely the AL PASTOR, with the carnitas coming in second place. They were marinated so well and the pineapple was the perfect touch. The chicken and beef were good too, but they didn't stand out compared to the pork. I'm happy I found this spot :')

A random find turns out to be gold! This place has the best tacos, few choices but doesn't matter because it's so damn good. 4 tacos for $10, 1 taco $3.. so do yourself a favor and just get 4, they are small anyways. Every order comes with an onion, roasted perfectly and I can only handle the green salsa which is spicy already, can't imagine the red one. Only issue is parking is nearly impossible, the restaurant shares its small lot with other business so you'll be lucky to find one, better luck trying to park on the street but don't let that stop you from coming and trying. Staff works hard to move fast and is helpful and friendly even if you don't speak Spanish.

Great spot! Very authentic, they have all the meats behind glass so you can see before ordering. Ordering can be a little confusing and intimidating the first time, especially if you don't speak Spanish. They have guys that speak English which you will need. You order from each of the meat sections. So if you want chicken you go to that guy with a to go box and if you want steak you go to that guy. Very well put together operation. Now for the food itself. Exceptional! Comes with sauces and onions and they are all filled nicely. The pastor was really good but the chicken to me was just ok. The price: also fantastic, you get 4 tacos for $11 which is a steal. This is definitely on my rotation for tacos. Los gueros used to be good and feel authentic but now with all locations it's overpriced and not great. Do yourself a favor and stop in Los Amigos for some delicious tacos.

I think I may have just found my new go-to taco spot. They only serve tacos here, so you know it's gotta be legit. That's where they spend all their time and focus. We pretty much tried one of each taco, except the suadero (beef) and the chicken. Hubby went and ordered in person, for takeout. We had lengua, longaniza, tripe, carnitas, al pastor, and pork skin. My favorites were the pork skin, al pastor, and longaniza. There were some that we ordered more than one of but we realized they gave us something else in place of it, so just beware of that. The tacos come with these mini grilled onions. I usually like onions but these lacked any sort of flavor. The salsas that the tacos come with were good, including an avocado-based (?) one. Some tacos didn't need any sauce but some needed an extra little something and the salsas were perfect for this. They serve radishes on the side, which I usually don't eat because they're bitter but they were actually fresh here. We didn't eat the tacos until we reheated them maybe an hour or two later but they were still delicious. Will definitely have to dine in next time for the full experience. And the best part? 4 tacos for $11!!

Four of the most delicious tacos I've even eaten

Wow! Absolutely amazing tacos. Don't pass this spot up, it's a true gem. Lots of taco options, I tried the beef as well as the pork. Homemade hot sauce hit the spot as well.

Amazing tacos! Got the carnitas, Al pastor, beef tongue and pork skin. All very good. Helpful staff. Clean restaurant. Good hot sauces. Will be back!

I tried Carnitas alone and it was pretty plain, but i decided to combine the Carnitas with the Cueritos, the combination made it amazing!!!

Tucked in a strip mall off of Main Avenue in Passaic, this establishment only serves authentic Mexican tacos. I came today to Taqueria Los Amigos as a first timer for lunch and managed to grab a parking spot, but at times it can be challenging as the lot is tight. Upon entering, the interior is big, with a lot of Mexican farm vibes, and clean. There were only a few high-top tables for indoor dining. For $10, depending on the kind of tacos you order, the staff will give you four small soft shell tacos on a sizable plate with two or three small onions. There's a glass window in the front where you can see how the tacos are made and cooked. I decided on the beef (sundero), longaniza (Mexican sausage), Al pastor (marinated pork) and pollo (chicken), washing it down with soda Jarritos (Tamarind). Tacos were delicious, made fresh, and tasty with their filling. The staff was friendly, the service was fast, cash only, and inexpensive, which I can recommend.

Quick, cheap, and delicioso. The tacos are on point and full of flavor. The lemon, radish, and green and red hot sauce.

I know tongue can sound very off-putting but when cooked right, it is so tender and flavorful. These lengua tacos were no exception! Bursting with flavor and filled, these are some of the heartiest street tacos I've ever had. The chips w/ guacamole and salsa were nice too. Perhaps not the best I've had but very good. The chips were fresh and the salsa was interesting. For the guacamole, this is personal preference but I prefer a chunkier guacamole. This one was very smooth. I also ordered the horchata which was good but a bit too sweet for me. The restaurant is BYOB. You can bring wine and they have a sangria mix for $15 and they'll turn your wine into Sangria. It was yummy! The service was very nice. Everyone was kind and friendly. The food came out quickly. The ambiance was great. I loved the tables and decor. They also had a giant TV playing the World Cup games. All-in-all, a delicious place. I will definitely be returning. Thank you, Azteca!

Whether one desires a quick taco or a full-course meal, my friends and I were craving rich and bold tastes from Mexico and decided on this family-owned establishment for an early Cinco de Mayo dinner. Upon arrival at this popular spot to locals, with its cozy and casual interior decked out in traditional Mexican vibes, we were greeted by the staff and immediately got a table by the entrance, but they also have outdoor dining, weather permitting. The menu selection is much smaller than at other restaurants. We decided on the Cheese Enchiladas, Beef Enchiladas, California Burrito, Beef Burrito, Chicken Fries with Fries, and Shrimp Fajitas.
