Taqueria Morelos is named after the State in Mexico. So I guess these are tacos from the Morelos region? One thing for sure, they have a huge menu. They had so much crap, I had hard time deciding. Not only that, they have some interesting fillings I haven't seen in another Mexican restaurant like suadero (fried beef chunks), nopales (cactus), hongos (mushrooms), and tinga (shredded chicken cooked in chipotle tomato sauce). Their menu is mostly in Spanish. They do have an English menu somewhere. Ask the nice lady and she'll give you one. I tried their tacos, huraches, gorditas, and sopes. They were all delicious. Their tacos were one of the better authentic, Mexican tacos I've tasted. I tried their tacos al pastor and tinga. They stuffed the tacos full of meat. It came with cilantros and onions. And you can dress them up at the salsa bar. The salsa bar consisted of avocado, pico, peppers, limes, and cactus. So if you don't order cactus, you can try the cold, salsa version at the bar. The Taco Al Pastor was great. The corn tortilla was cooked well. The pastor had great flavor to it. The Tinga was good too. I loved the flavor. The Huraches looked gigantic. It was a size of a dinner plate. It came with the meat, beans, lettuce, and cheese on top of a huge masa base. It is a meal onto itself. I liked it as well. The masa base was a bit hard, I guess to hold the enormous toppings. It was basically a pizza. The Gordita was huge too. I got the Nopales Gordita. The cactus seemed cooked in some spices and was tender. I liked the texture and the flavor. The corn tortilla it came in was great too. I also tried their Horchata. You can order medium or large. They also give you free refills. It tasted excellent. It had that nice, sweet, rice flavor with vanilla and cinnamon. Despite being inside a Chevron gas station, it is one of the better Taquerias I've had in Atlanta. The woman who works there is sweet. And everything tasted good.

"Yes" is the Word to best describes this place! I order a Steak Torta for lunch and it was great. It was actually a lot bigger than what I've had in the past, but yummy!!!!! Go Eat!

TACOS BARBACOA For $1.50, it's worth it. The tacos are huge and stuffed with delicious barbacoa, onions and cilantro. The barbacoa is probably one of the best meats to get here. SOPAS These are so good. The masa cakes at the bottom are fried and crunchy, the perfect texture for holding a bunch of delicious meats, lettuce, cheese, tomatoes and avocadoes. We got them with carne asada as per recommendation by the waitress, and she was right. It's so good. GORDITAS NOPALES The Gorditas are handmade and super good. The nopales is so flavorful and fresh. I would get this Gordita next time again! GORDITAS AL PASTOR Not my favorite meat. I didn't finish it. The al pastor is a bit dry although flavorful. It doesn't stand a chance against the carne asada and barbacoa. SALSA BAR Is super fresh and yummy. I think the salsas are house made as well.

    Horchata -large

The food was excellent, it reminded me of dinners with my tía. I loved every bit. It was small so not well staffed but the Horchatas...oh my gosh. Delicious

This is real deal authentic Mexican food. This is not Taco Bell or any Tex Mex crap. The food is FRESH and made to order. I have been here several times and this place does not disappoint. I usually get asada tacos and the tostados, but the menu is robust. Just my preference.

    Two Barbacoa Tacos, so meaty.

The chips are crispy and the salsa tasty, not hot and spicy. Husband ordered a shrimp taco salad. "These are tiny shrimp!" I had a trip of tostadas. One chicken, beef and pork. Each one was so tasty and flavorful! We found Zama on Yelp. We traveling from Florida to home. It was our first visit, which Dylan asked about. At the end of our meal, the manager came over and greeted us and brought us a dessert to share. We will arrange our next road trip to Florida to include Zana again.

Had a #6 (taco and enchilada). The taco came in a separate dish (okay) but fell apart when I tried to pick it up. I've eaten Mexican food for 50 years and this was the worst I've ever had (not kidding). The enchilada was cheese and there was plenty but it was about as dry as it could be. A little sauce would have definitely helped. The server was very attentive on the front end. When we were done, I had to flag the manager for our checks. He got right on it but 10 minutes later we were still sitting there, waiting to pay. I had to flag the manager down again. This was unacceptable. Even with 3 stars, I would never eat here again.

The cooks are doing their thing with authenticity--tasting and tweaking their creations as they go. The soups are chock-full of solids. And they have handmade specials made fresh. Julia's Taqueria is a hidden gem that deserves all the praise it gets. The menu offers a wide variety of tacos, and each one is a masterpiece. I tried the carne asada, al pastor, and fish tacos, and they were all bursting with flavor. The meats were perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection, while the toppings and sauces added just the right amount of zest and freshness. What truly sets Julia's Taqueria apart is their commitment to authenticity. The tortillas are handmade right before your eyes, and you can taste the difference in every bite. The salsas are vibrant and made with fresh ingredients, enhancing every dish they accompany. The atmosphere is casual and friendly, making it the perfect spot for a quick bite or a leisurely meal with friends. I ordered the chiles rellenos (stuffed peppers)with chicken. The chicken was missing, the peppers were tasteless and contained little to no cheese, and the rice and beans tasted expired. The tortillas were rock hard and tasted like wax. The employee also overcharged us... The meal was $14 and we ordered 2 $4 drinks. She rang that up as $28, and wouldn't give an itemized receipt. So many amazing Mexican restaurants in the area and this is not the one I'd recommend.
