As Matt and I continue our journey to find the best Mexican food trucks in Tucson, we went to Taqueria Rosita near the airport. It is located on empty piece of land with nice mesquite trees for shade. The food was very tasty and the portions adequate. I had a Birria toco and a Cabeza taco ( I had them add cheese and take off the cabbage). Both were outstanding and as with the other food trucks only $3.00 each. Matt had a birria taco and a steak quesadilla. He said they were very good. The green sauce was very flavorful and not too spicy. The red sauce was a little hot but still tasty. The place was very busy but luckily they had seating for over 20 customers. Most of them must come often because they seem to know each other. My only complaint (I had the similar situation at other trucks) was that the chairs sat very low to the ground because of the dirt base and I needed help to get up. Because the chairs were sitting on dirt, not much can be done about the chairs. If you are flying into or out of town, this would be a nice place to pick up fine Mexican truck food. read more

Such a HIDDEN GEM! I'm down from California and wanted to try a Hispanic spot. I seen this food truck from my maps and I love me a good food truck. The tacos are BOMB! Hands down, one of the best tacos I've had in Tucson! A simple taco truck with outdoor seating but the food.... packed with amazing flavor!! Plus the price is right! I've tried all of the meats so far as tacos, with the exception of chicharron, and they were all cooked and seasoned perfectly. Be sure to try their caramelos also! I got the carne asada caramelos and it was divine! Cheesy and cooked to perfection where the outside has a bit of crunchy crisp to it. They provided us with pico de gallo and salsa. Was in the mood for some tacos after being in Vegas for a week! This place is down the street from me, so decided to give it a shot as I see it every time I drive down Valencia. It's naturally shaded with trees and it was very cool when ordering. I got 4 tacos of carne asada and 2 of the cabeza. My husband wanted chicharrón but they did not have any at the time, bummer. They provide a pico de gallo and a red salsa which was my favorite! Not everyone knows how to make a good spicy salsa. It was HOTTTT!!!! The limes were very dryyyyyy, thankfully I found a juicy enough one to add to my six tacos, could've used more but it's all there was. Other than the dry limes, The food was great! Incredible taco truck conveniently located near airport and rental car return. They do a great job packing for To Go orders, so makes it easy to take into airport. Easy hours for breakfast or lunch. Also has super cute tables and chairs if you want to eat under the trees in shade there. Really kind folks run it. Decided to review since this place doesn't have much reviews or photos and it is delicious. Not from Tucson so finding good tacos was a mission. This place was down the road from the hotel which was convenient. I tried the asada and cabeza which were divine! They serve with onion, cilantro and cabbage and you add the guacamole and salsa. The salsa was a bit spicy for me but I couldn't stay away from it because it's so good, in my opinion. Guacamole was on the runny side but tasty as well. We live in vail and we're happy we made the 30 minute drive to this little roach coach. My husband and I were pleased that we were offered a choice of corn or flour tortillas. We both prefer flour and found the tortillas to be delicious- thin and seemingly homemade. Between us, we tried pollo, asada, and birria. All were good, the asada particularly delicious. The pico was great and I enjoyed the sauces. We ordered a to go order to bring home to our son and they waited until we were nearly finished with our meal to prepare it which was extremely considerate.
