Chacos were amazing as always! Staff was great, I had ordered online and they were hot and ready when I got there. I have been coming here for years and they never disappoint!!

Love this place! Great tacos with a very chill vibe and kind workers. The tacos can come with cheese melted on the inside hot off the grill. I haven't had a one I don't like and they have a variety of flavors. They have fun drinks both alcoholic and not, the place is 1/3 inside and 2/3 outside patio. I've only gotten to go but the picnic tables look inviting. Highly recommend when in Edwardsville!

Some of the most authentic, amazing, FRESH food and a great atmosphere... my kids LOVED it!!

first timer at Taqueria Z and blown away we got the carne asada, chicken, chorizo & papas! They were all incredible. I loved their patio, the beers on tap, the sauces & of course the food This is the perfect spot for a great taco and drink while sitting on a large patio. They have a huge parking lot which is a major plus. Service is always great and they always bring out a little treat for my pup.

Small but mighty in flavor for both food and drinks The carne asada charo is nearly inexplicably good. Tender and a flavor explosion The orange colored medium salsa looks strange but you forget about that given the spice and in a few moments you just want to drink it The original margarita is a proper one with real lime juice. If you want a sweeter one opt for the house margarita Great family business serving up the best tacos. So simple, so fresh, so good so cal!

This is a small taco stand with only about two tables inside and the rest of the seating is outside in the front or on the side patio. Many of the tables have umbrellas which was fortunate as there was off-and-on rain the day we visited. The street tacos are near perfect, although I wish they gave me three lime wedges instead of cutting them in half. Also, their medium sauce has a great char-grilled flavor, but is spicy for a medium. The service was friendly and quick. The ambiance is enjoyable, especially for those that love a nice patio with flowers growing out front. My husband loved his quesadilla and said it was delicious (al pastor). Their al pastor has small chunks of pineapple in it which is a nice and fresh-tasting contrast. Also, a wide variety of Jarritos! I had to get two - don't judge me. We will be back!

Best (on the rocks) margarita in the land of Edwardsville! Mango habanero margarita

Too many good things to say about this lil' place. Parking is easy, can't get any closer to a place. The margarita is spicy flavorful, just wish they were bigger BUT there is tequila in them! Best on the rocks margarita around. Let me say, I ALWAYS get chicken but something enticed me for the carnitas chaco and carne asada taco - thankful for those gut feelings! BOTH were very tender, flavorful and amazing! Get both! There's no free chips and salsa here, just fyi. Medium salsa is spicy, creamy, different but good. Only recommendation - small guacamole size for one person. It looked amazing but didn't want that much. Service was quick, fun outside place on a nice night! Spendy but what place isn't this day!

We LOVE this place!!!! It's the cutest taco place in town. They have such a nice patio and a few seats inside. They are super quick and so friendly! I've never had a bad experience here. The food is always delicious! Plenty of parking in their lot next to the building. I will continue to come back again and again! :)

I absolutely love Taqueria Z! They make some of the best tacos and quesadillas out there. Add some great drinks on top of amazing and quick service and you've got the whole package. The inside is small, but perfect for what they have going on. I highly suggest checking this place out for some of the best authentic Mexican food in the area!

Guac is worth it (has a slight spice to it) Margarita is worth it I'd come here for just those items alone.

    - small but cozy interior - Good customer service - No generic, basic, pre-mix style margarita here. This margarita reigns supreme. - taco meat can run a little dry but the combination of everything makes it all good This place made me fall in love with margarita's. I ordered margaritas at multiple restaurants after this place and I was let down, quickly realizing the distinct taste of pre mixed margarita mix and that is not what is served here

It's taco Tuesday! Sorry, grading, you'll have to wait while I enjoy my delicious tacos--carne asada on the left and chicken on the right. The tacos were a reasonable 3 bucks a pop. Also pictured is my house margarita. Mr. Margarita ("we just say margarita, George Michael") set me back $8 but this is no mixed marg and was definitely worth the price. I'll be back--maybe even on a non-alliterative taco day.

On a Friday evening there was only one other table there, which should have been our first clue. The food took so long to come out I thought they might be growing the ingredients out back. The chips tasted like they came straight from a family-size bag at the grocery store, and the chimichanga had all the excitement of a tax form. The lettuce tasted like it was reminiscing about fresher days. My husband ordered a soda and was handed a bottle, apparently unlimited refills are now considered a luxury item. We went for my husband's birthday dinner and left wishing we'd celebrated at a gas station taqueria instead. I understand rising costs due to the economy, but you can tell this place is nowhere what it use to be, from a year ago. Quality has gone downhill. The only reason this review gets two stars is because the server was friendly. Won't be back, too many other options to choose from in the area. Hasta la vista baby.

It's clear the restaurant is thriving under the new management that took over in November. They are doing a fantastic job! One of the standout items was the in-house homemade chorizo, which is easily the best I've ever had. The street tacos were absolutely to die for. The cabeza especially took me by surprise in the best way. The meat was rich, tender, and incredibly flavorful. They even brought me an extra spicy salsa upon request, which was delicious and clearly made with care. And of course, the margaritas went down smooth and easy. The perfect pairing with such great food. Between the lively atmosphere, thoughtful service, and standout dishes, Viva La Fiesta is definitely a place I will be coming back to.

As always, the service was friendly and attentive. My server had a larger group of 10 at another table, but he still was able to give me a single diner attentive service as well. Also, my Chava's Quesadilla with shrimp was top notch. I recently have become obsessed with having shrimp in my Mexican food and their version of a quesadilla with shrimp, satisfied my craving. I also appreciated their presentation on the plate and how they sliced it up into manageable pieces. My disappointment came from my Margarita and the Chili Con Queso. I always get the Top Shelf Margarita and today's, seemed very weak and the mix was also flavorless. The Chili Con Queso was the true disappointment. The menu described it as Spicy Mexican Cheese Fondue, "blended with" jalapeños, onion and tomatoes. When it was served, there was no blending. It simply was the cheese fondue with a scoop of Pico De Gallo in the middle. The complementary chips were warm and crisp. The salsa was chunky, but needed a little more spices in it give some pizzazz. I haven't given up on Chava's, I'll be back. I enjoy their main dishes too much, to mark them off my Mexican list.

This was the most disappointing food experience in a long time for me. These guys are NOT ready for the lunch rush at 9 Mile Garden. After waiting about 20 minutes in line, I finally ordered an Original Cheeseburger with ONLY Bacon and Cheese + Seasoned Fries. Their were a lot of people standing around complaining about the wait time, so I was a bit concerned, but figured I'd give it a try anyway. Somehow a lady that was behind me in line, got her food before 6 or 7 people that were in FRONT of me. This truck is mainly burgers and fries, pretty simple, so I don't know what's up with that, but it made several people angry. After about a 30 minute wait, they finally called my number, and I took my food home and eat, hoping after all that wait, at least the food would be good. NOPE! Order was wrong, burger had everything on it. Fries were completely soggy. Burger overcooked, dry. Ended up throwing a little of the burger and most of the fries away. On top of that, it was almost $14!!! I don't get it. If these guys can make it in this business, then I guess anyone can... I can get a better burger almost anywhere else, at about half the price.
