The reason I trust this dentist is a long story going to the dentist and bad experiences 2006, I had a compression fracture in my back and scoliosis so I have a pediatric size titanium rod in my back it is 8 inches yet still it had be shaved down, I am smaller than pediatric for most medical devices, I had a traumatic brain injury and a critical reverse neck curve in 2012 My Dr. insisted I had to retire and go on disability so I couldn't go to the dentist because of severe chronic migraines that lasted until 2024, my critical reverse neck injury is still present so i neglected my teeth, I was told if I have another injury i could be paralyzed, I have had many Dr.s appointments and treatments for 14 years, all of my organs and blood test numbers are perfect, my heart is great my lungs are clear kidneys liver and all of my organs are functioning properly Colonoscopy was clear no issues, Mamo gram was clear, if not I would not even get my teeth worked on, I did go to the dentist a few times between then and now for fillings but that dentist retired 7 years ago, I'm still seeing my Dr. at Kaiser and physical therapy plus chiropractor I get blood test and physicals to make sure everything is okay ti see how I'm am progressing it's taking a long time because I had to take Aleve and Excedrin migraine pills for 12 years straight because my don't like prescription pain meds, my eyes are starting to go back to normal! I am thankful for finding Dr. EL Ghaoui and the endodontist she recommended me to Dr. Tran, I m blessed to find both of them because my teeth were really needing help and my teeth are small so it's a challenge for any Dentist to work on! I had a great experience at my first visit this week. Dr. El Ghaoui's team is very thorough, informative and helpful as a whole! From the start Valerie helped me out from my first phone call, she made sure to double check my insurance was accepted and even helped explain how my insurance works, as I find it can be a little confusing talking with insurances. I received a call to see if I was able to come in a little earlier for same day cleaning, as they were ahead of their schedule. I'm so glad I was given the opportunity and was able to make it work. Lena did my xrays and made me feel comfortable as we talked about my dental history and personal life as we got to know each other a little bit. The dental hygienist (I'm so sorry, I forgot her name) did a great job at scaling my teeth and making my mouth feel so clean again! She wasn't too rough and it wasn't too painful, considering it has been over a year since my last cleaning. Dr. El Ghaoui was welcoming and was aware of anything i brought up to Lena, as she had relayed all the information to the dentist. I had let Lena know that I have always been interested in invisalign and she did a consultation and scan for me which i greatly appreciated, that has never been done for me before. It gave me a clear idea on how it would work and what to expect. Between Lena, Valerie and Dr. El Ghaoui each gave me helpful information needed for the next steps if I would like to move forward with it. They were very kind and gave me no pressure at all. From what it seems, Dr. El Ghaoui is conservative in her dental practices, not a bad thing at all! My last dentist told me I had cavities on all my molars and I was pretty nervous as I have not had a cavity before in my whole life! Dr. El Ghaoui reassured me that I have no cavities and I have good strong teeth! Valerie helped break down the costs and payment plans for the invisalign. At the end of my appt., I was given a folder with my profile, pics that were taken of my mouth and more information on the invisalign. The office made me feel so comfortable and I was given many opportunites to ask any questions I had. This was the best experience I have ever had at any dental office. I switched to Tara Hills Dental and I am SO glad I did! Everyone is extremely kind, knowledgeable, and gentle. I just had my cleaning with the hygienist Daniela, and she was so thoughtful, kind, and non-judgmental. I have a chronic illness which makes my guns more prone to inflammation, and she was so understanding and helpful. I always feel most comfortable with Doctors that are women. Dr. Feriel El Ghaoui was no exception. I have been struggling with my teeth shifting and felt very anxious about what next steps might look like. I was overwhelmed with all the appointments and things I needed to do for my teeth. It was notable when she said, "let's take this one step at a time." I felt a lot of my anxiety disappear because that was exactly what I needed to hear. Doctors that treat you as human beings first, always deserve five stars to me! I was looking for a woman dentist to support a women-owned dental business, for a change. Tara Hills Dental checked that box and all the 5 reviews had me feel comfortable I'd be getting good dental treatment. Right away I noticed Dr. El Ghaoui is incredibly warm and welcoming as are her staff. Everyone is very courteous and professional with patients and with each other. It's a very pleasant environment to walk into. I had two broken fillings and I don't like Novocain. Dr. El Ghaoui was willing and very able to fill my two cavities without it, drilling carefully, accurately and gently. She's very skilled and detail oriented--what you want in a dentist. After Dr. El Ghaoui repaired my two fillings and made sure my bit was perfect, I went back a week later for a cleaning by Daniela. She spent an hour with me, discussed my gum health and looked at my mouth guard as well as did a fantastic job getting the tea stains off my teeth. Worst dental experience in my lifetime. The staff was amazing, but the dentist herself is hyper focused on seeing how much money she can make off of you instead of listening to her patients and focusing on the immediate need of service. She aggressively suggested I get all my previous dental work redone before taking care of my immediate problem. She went so far as telling me that I needed braces and veneers before I could get a mouth guard...hmm! Just Wow! Needless to say, my problem went unresolved, and I am now in more pain because she aggressively forced the affected tooth to move to prove it was loose! It wasn't, she then started knocking on the tooth, and when I didn't feel pain, she reached in my mouth and started working the tooth back and forth aggressively to prove her point. I couldn't wait to get out of there. At one point she got very upset and said well how do you want me to help you! I clearly said to focus on the affected tooth and provide me with a mouth guard. She wasn't happy with my response. Steer clear of this dentist, she is more interested in maximizing your costs than helping you. Her sheer lack of compassion and professionalism was surreal! Update: A few days later the dentist responded, trying to justify her bad practices again. Seriously not sure how she has so many 5 stars, next to impossible. I couldn't recommend Dr El Ghaoui and her whole staff more highly. I needed implants and new crowns. I am very scared of dentists and was very stressed. I had done the part 1 of the implant in Brazil and it was hard to find the matching part 2 in the US. Dr El Ghaoui went out of her way doing research to find the matching part, and the implants turned out beautiful, and so did my new crowns. She is extremely knowledgeable and kind and made me feel safe and calm during the whole ordeal. Her staff is very professional and the hygienist is a perfectionist just as Dr Ghaoui is. She also connected me with a great surgeon when I needed a root canal, and another one when I need to remove the healing cap to get the implant done.
