While it was being replaced my contractor stopped when the job was only 75% complete with the promise of coming back and finishing it soon. Well, that never happened. I finally found someone who was willing to complete the job, but so much time had passed I forgot about my insurance rate increasing. One day I got a call from my agent (Brent) at Advanced Underwriters. He said he was in my neighborhood the day before for another client of his and decided to pass by my place and noticed that my roof was new and all finished up. He also said he made a few calls and found another insurance company that was 60 (SIXTY!!) percent cheaper than my old policy and the coverage was even better with the new company. Well, of course I went into his office that day to sign the papers! Now THAT is what I call stellar costumer service! I wanted to reply to Allison who made a negative review. At first, seeing a one star review scared me BUT I think Allison misunderstood what happened. I use a different title attorney, and my title attorney explains what Allegiance might have forgotten. When you get the tax bill at the end of the year, it will always say you owe. That's because your lender is holding the funds in escrow. In January or February the lender was going to pay the bill you decided to pay before Christmas. Anyone reading this in Louisiana, the tax bill is just information for you when you have a mortgage. Allison will now have to request a refund from the parish and that takes a while. After we finish closing on our purchase, I will be back to adjust the stars here. Just wanted to share this info in case it helps others. The title company didn't mess up in Allison's situation.
